Our Orlando property hasn't been serviced in a while so, I wasn't sure what to expect. they answered our questions, gave us a price, and came out the next day. Avoid Total Enviro Services, Inc. at all costs. We hired them based on a written estimate. After we signed the contract, they suddenly increased the price by $4,500 right before starting work. This kind of bait-and-switch is completely unethical. We're state-certified general contractors who've built hundreds of homes and installed many septic systems--so we know when someone is trying to take advantage. When we refused to proceed under the new price and requested our deposit back, they tried to keep part of it for "administrative" and "permitting" fees. If this is how they treat professional builders, we can't imagine what they do to everyday homeowners. We're hiring attorneys and plan to pursue this legally. Run from this company. read more

Wish I read the reviews first. Totally destroyed my front irrigation system which had to be replaced at a cost of $1200 for re-piping and all new heads. Never bothered to knock on my door and show me what was going to happen. Left a mess all over the front yard and my driveway. Sod guy had to charge me an extra $150 to haul away dirt before he could level it off for re-sodding. If I could give a zero I would. STAY AWAY from these people. read more

I called on a Saturday and needed my septic pumped , they were able to schedule for Sunday and arrived in the time frame they specified they would be there. The fee was very reasonable for a week-end, Joshua was very knowledgeable answering the questions I had. He was very careful when digging for the lid to the septic. Unfortunately my irrigation pipe was over the top of the lid. He had carefully dug around the pipe so he didn't break it, ws able to lift the lid without damaging the pipe.Definitely recommend using them, will use them in the future. read more

John ignored the guarantee printed on the back of our receipt which states "free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year". Our septic tank is full after just 3 weeks since his company pumped it. He is saying it is our fault, and could be a drain field issue even though on our day of service his technician stated to us that our drain field looked good. It even says on our receipt that "drainfield is fair". John is refusing to come out to check the work his technician did. Also the cost quoted to me on the phone was not honored. We ended up paying double. And to top it off, his technician was rude. Do NOT use this company! We had another company, Brownies, come out to inspect their work. They found wires exposed above ground which caused our pump to trip. So the reason for our tank filling up in 3 weeks is because of Total Enviro company's poor workmanship. Our drain field is functioning perfectly. Also Brownies informed us we did not actually need our second tank pumped so we were charged for that by Total Enviro for NO reason! read more

We hired this company with the quoted cost of $275 for septic cleaning. Upon completion of the cleaning we were handed a bill for $490. The company let us know this was for a variety of additional charges we were not told of upfront. Eric, the owner refused to acknowledge the communication error on his team's part and blamed me for having "buyer's remorse" and wanting my money back. All I am requesting is to pay the $275 we were quoted on the phone. If there were to be additional charges that should have been disclosed PRIOR to performing the services when you have no choice but to pay at that time. I would be happy to remove this negative review as the service provided was fine if the business manager is willing to stand behind the quote of $275 given by his staff upon booking of services. read more

Company came out pumped out tank, that was OK, however I had done most of the work in digging out the output port. There were 2 guys, one guy was on the phone most of the time and didnt do any digging just pumped out l. The other guy was complaining he didnt have to dig all day now he had to dig a little. When it came due he refused to fill in what I had dug out for him to save him time and effort. Im 73 years old and I filled back in myself for the lazy guys. I used this service company for years and really liked them, the employee that comes out is super nice. However this last time I called to let them know I needed service pretty soon as I was having issues in my grease lines. Ken said he could get someone out pry Fri as it was Mon, I said that would be fine. He said he would call me in the morning to confirm he could get someone out.The next morning he said he had someone dumping a truck early the next day if I could be to work early he could have someone out at 7:30 am, I said fine no problem. They came did a great job then gave me a bill for what I normally pay PLUS $125 extra for a before 8am service!! I was never told about an extra charge or I would have said no. I am a small business. I called Ken and he said he was sorry for not telling me but I still owe the money he couldnt change that- what poor service. I asked to speak to his manager and he said there was no one higher than him. I said is there an owner, he said he will give him my number and of course I got no call. Well there is alot of stores in my chain that I will be sharing this with so I hope the changing of prices without telling the customer catches up with this company as their reviews suck. read more

Wish I could give a zero. They replaced my septic tank and drainfield. We failed failed inspection the first time because they failed to dig deep enough. I was charged more to redo it. Then they tore up my lawn three/four times the size of the work done, left a very deep slope. In addition, my entire beautifully driveway had to be redone because their earthmovers and equipment left it in horrible shape. I more than doubled the original estimates because of the poor job done the first time and the damage they caused. read more

Up until my last service call a few weeks ago, I had nothing but great things to say about this company. I called them to my home to drain my septic tank and based on their service and the handling of resolving my issue, if I could give this company a 0 or no stars, that is what I would give them. The person came out to drain my tank was at my home for less than an hour. Within 30 minutes after he left, I went to go and look at my "empty tank". The tank was so full, it was as if it was never pumped. I reached out to the driver to return. Although he said he would, he never showed up. I called the office and spoke of multiple levels of management. I had video and pictures of my tank still being full as of that day. The answer to resolve my issue was, we stand by our driver and he said he pumped your tank. It's been a few weeks since they were at my house. I gave them this much time to either come back and provide me with the service I paid for or give me a refund. They stated they will do neither. My advice to the next customer is, do not do business with this company unless you are willing to stand over them and watch them complete their work.... THE FACT THAT A MANAGER / OWNER WOULD ALLOW ANY EMPLOYEE TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN THE MANNER THIS COMPANY DOES YOU CAN CLEARLY TELL THEY ARE A COMPANY WITH ZERO INTEGRITY. I own 5 restaurants and was referred to this business by the previous owner of the restaurant I purchased. It took me months and several emails to get them to respond to me trying to open a new account with them. When I finally called him out on how many times I have sent emails attempting to set up a new account I was told they were hacked and were having trouble with their emails. This was just the beginning of BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A LONG HISTORY OF EXCUSES FOR EVERYTHING. VERY DIFFICULT TO TRY TO SET UP A NEW ACCOUNT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. When I set up my accounts I provided them my mailing/ billing address as I always do and requested to set up my accounts for automatic payments. Despite taking the time to fill out this paperwork the invoices were mailed to the physical locations of the stores and not the provided mailing/ billing address. I later received a statement showing my account was delinquent even though I had already filled out the form they provided me for automatic payment with my AMEX card information. AGAIN I WAS MET WITH EXCUSES OF WHY THEY SENT THE INVOICES TO THE WRONG ADDRESSES AND NOT THE ADDRESSES I PROVIDED. THEY ALSO HAD EXCUSES AS TO WHY THEY FAILED TO LET ME KNOW 2 MONTHS AFTER I SUBMITTED THEIR FORM FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS THAT THEY NO LONGER ACCEPT AMEX CARDS DUE TO ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS DISPUTING THE CHARGES. NEVER APOLOGIES FOR LACK OF COMMUNICATION OR CONTINUED MISTAKES ON THEIR BEHALF THAT ARE COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT FOR THEIR BRAND NEW CUSTOMER. I called them to get them to fix the mailing / billing address AGAIN and to find out why they did not use the payment method I provided them months before. I was told at this time they no longer accept AMEX because too many customers were disputing the charges and they weren't being paid. I told them that is fine but they should have told me 2 months prior when I submitted the paperwork. No apologies, no accountability for dropping the ball EVER and they have dropped the ball 3 TIMES already. AMEX allows a customer to dispute a charge when a customer is NOT SATISFIED with the services provided and has a valid reason to dispute the charge. This was a little troubling that they had so many of them along with my personal experiences with them thus far. I asked if they had the ability for me to set up an automatic ACH payment and I was told YES they do. He copied the woman in charge of that on the email and I waited for a form to be provided. She responded with do you have some sort of form you need from us? I responded with an email expressing how frustrating it is to try to make a payment with their company. I explained what I was looking to do which was set up automatic payments via ACH my bank accounts. NO RESPONSE. I sent yet another email. I called and asked for a manager and AGAIN WAS MET WITH EXCUSES no managers were available to speak with. I tried to explain my never ending situation and how frustrated I am and all he wanted to do was talk over me and give me MORE EXCUSES NEVER ONCE DID IT CROSS HIS MIND TO JUST APOLOGIZE FOR ALL THE TROUBLES I HAVE EXPERIENCED DUE TO PEOPLE WITHIN HIS ORGANIZATION. I told him he was missing my point entirely. The point I was trying to make is that if his organization does not accept a form of payment I gave them months ago it is THEIR responsibility to inform me in some manner which they did not. Able to get us on their schedule immediately, and although a little behind arriving (to be expected in this type of work) Matt took his time, opened and cleared all sections of the tank, and worked to completion, securing and cleaning up the job site to my meticulous expectations. Note of caution, other companies pay their drivers by the job, which incentivizes them to rush and half-@$$ the job. From recent experience, I can definitely say that the owners need to train their employees in the meaning of customer service. Lynne is absolutely the most rude and unprofessional person at a business I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to... When you thank a person for their time and show appreciation even when they are being short with you... What kind of person hangs up on you?! She does. Secondly, they really need to get their poop in a group when it comes to scheduling, because those workers are never there when they are supposed to be, and dispatch doesn't seem to know what is happening. Third, I don't know the ins and outs of septic.. But I do know that any business that provides a service should also be specific about that service and what it includes, and give options. For example, if it's common practice to crush your old septic tank and bury it with the new one, you'd think it might be important to tell the customer, so that when it rains and the dirt settles and gigantic pieces of old septic tanks emerge, creating pockets and sink holes, the customer doesn't freak out. Oh, and telling them that grading and sod are necessary to prevent that from happening in the first place might be kind of important! They did such a crappy job filling over the new septic, leaving old busted pieces of PVC and not even attempting to clean it up... I could've done a better job with a freaking rake and shovel, blindfolded! And you know all of that would've been okay with me had they just given a half a crap about making it right, but instead I got the same rudeness that I now recognize as normal customer relations of Total Septic employees. Hi everyone, I want to share a bad experience I had with Total Enviro Services. On October 18th my bathroom was backing up. I called Total Enviro Sevices (Philip Alexander) is the contractor they said my drain field needed to be replaced. My husband and I agreed to do that. We paid almost $6000.00 for the drain field. It's not even a month yet since they replaced it for us. I thought we would have a break. We're still dealing with the same issues. That is just poor service. This may have been a good company in the past but not anymore. Jeff was the employee that got me to sign up to have my drain field replaced. He said the work would be done in 2-3 weeks due to having to obtain a permit. After I had signed the paperwork I didn't hear anything from the company and I ended up having to call them. When I got in contact with Ken, a supervisor, he said Jeff was no longer with the company. I asked if they keep track of business that is supposed to be completed for customers who've already paid half down and he said they were trying to do their best. Long story short, they took 3 months to complete the work, which really annoyed my tenants who have 3 children. They also damaged the fence and gutters but neglected to inform me of this. As you can see from the pictures that I sent to the manager Ken, the gate was completely torn down and the gutters were also knocked down. Here we are over 6 months later and they still haven't fixed the fence nor have they been back to look at the damages. I was told multiple times that they were going to fix the fence but they've only called to get the rest of the payment. Be ware of this company. I'm sure they don't do this to all of their customers but this was my experience. Maybe they should stick to the more routine septic problems like pumping the tank out and replacing drain lines vs the big jobs of drain field replacement. Go to Better Business Bureau (www.betterbusinessbereau.com) and look at the other negative complaint from another person that got their drain field replaced also. DO NOT USE TOTAL ENVIRO SERVICES! We've been using Total Septic/Enviro since 2013, and have spent thousands with them over the course of the years. 7 years ago, we were sold a 1/2 hp pump. Recently we called them to pump out our tank, which they did. 2 days later our toilets wouldn't flush again. They came back out, charged another $275 and pumped the other tank. 3 days later, our toilets wouldn't flush again. The person that came out this time told us that we only had a 1/3 hp pump. We pulled out our receipt from 2013 and showed them we were charged for a 1/2 hp pump. They said they didn't know if someone else came out and replaced the pump! We gave them a stack of receipts from their visits over the past 7 years, and told them no one has touched our septic but them. After shifting blame with no apology, and being rude to boot, they told us we need a new pump. Horrible bait and switch scam company with even worse customer service! read more

The company came to do a septic tank clean out and only removed the fluids. They didn't clean out any of the main drain from the house and then they told me my drain field was dead. Had another company come and they did a complete clean out cleaned the drains from the house and the tank is draining nicely. Not dead. Not needing replacement or "rejuvenation". If you are going to use them, be sure to be there and watch the whole process. I will never use them again. read more

When I got out of the shower on Saturday, the bathroom floor was flooded. I wasn't able to use my toilets or any drains for several days. Luis came out and was very professional and friendly. He always told me what he was going to do before he did it, he explained what was happening along the way. He was very patient with me, as I was a little frazzled from not being able to use my bathroom or my kitchen or laundry for several days. He did a good job and cleaned up after he was done. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! I think after dealing with Total Enviro for the last month and things ending the way they did, my husband might possibly have a heart attack. The stress it has caused him and the rest of our family has been awful. He and I both own our own businesses and would be out of business if we treated our customers the way they treated us. Something that was supposed to be a simple drain field installation done in 48 hours turned into hell. The company told us the permit would take 4-5 days and it ended up taking 3 weeks. Then once we got the permit it took 6 days even though we were told 48 hours. The GM Jeff told my husband that he was a liar and that he would no longer be taking his calls mid-job. Then we were told the the next day that GM Jeff was fired. Then we were told the next day by another worker that Jeff was not fired but had put in his 2 week notice 1 week prior to doing our job. 2 of the workers refused to come back to our house because my father who knows a lot about septic tanks was questioning some of their work and they couldn't handle him watching and correcting their work as necessary to get the job done right. Our drain field failed inspection the first time and we were told later by Phil that he knew it would fail inspection because it wasn't even close to the right size for the square footage of our house. My husband called the county several times throughout the process to make sure that he knew the new size it had to be and when a different inspector (a good ole boy like Phil) came the next time from the county he didn't even measure anything and just told my husband that it just had to be bigger than it was the first time. The first inspector was here for 1 full hour and this second inspector was here for only 10 minutes and did not even measure anything. In retrospect, I am 100% sure that Total Enviro paid off the inspector to get us to pass and finish the job. At the end of the job, we were so dissatisfied everything and expected them to give us financial compensation for all of the headaches they caused included being told "You are a liar" by the general manager and being told by another worker that the general manager refused to talk to my husband again. My husband demanded to talk to the owner, "Mr. Lapin" as everyone calls him, and was told that "Mr. Lapin does not talk to customers because he pays people to do that." Then instead of getting financially compensated, my husband was told that he would owe the full amount PLUS the $200 credit that we had overpaid for the deposit for an unnecessary part on the down payment would not be honored and that we had no proof that they never installed the part. My husband was fuming and was told that he would be given zero financial compensation and that if we did not pay within 24 hours that we were getting sued. THIS COMPANY SHOULD LOSE THEIR LICENSE AND SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN. How they have been in business this long baffles me and I strongly advise you to use anyone else BUT NOT THEM. read more

My 92 year old mother had a backup in one of her bathrooms. This company doing business as total septic came out found that the septic did not need to be pumped my mother allows them to Pump It Anyway for future use the $260 the pumping did not work the technician said that he had to snake the line for $160 after trying to snake the line when the line did not work he asked me for a Sharp object to use in the hose. He then proceeded to go into the house and use a plunger and to state that we would have to call a plumber. My mother said she was calling her plumber at the same time the technician was calling their plumber which will be more money out of my mother's pocket later I found that they charge my mother $420 and still the problem remains after I contact it a manager at the company I was informed that there was nothing they could do all my mother was asking what the return of the hundred and $60 because the sneaking did not work I was informed by Barry that if we would have used their plumber we would not have been charged we were never told that we were told to call a plumber and that is what we did I would not use this company for anything all my mother was asking for what's the return of the hundred and $60 that was suggested by the technician to snake the line for it not to work she had to pay another plumber. To correct the problem because total septic informed us that there was nothing they could do not even return the hundred and $60 that's all my mother was asking for please beware if they do this to senior citizens I can imagine what they would do to other people possibly handicapped people read more

Company offers bribes for removal of negative feedback! Owner refuses to talk to customers. Company will not change prices or offer rebates for shoddy service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. (Former) GM Jeff is a liar and cares nothing for his customers once he has their deposits. Had a new drain field put into my front yard. I was told that the day after the permit was pulled, they would start, the day later, it would be inspected and filled in. Permits were pulled on Thursday. They didn't start work until Monday. Workers, who were supposed to be at my house "first thing in the morning" started on Monday at 10:45 AM and left at 4:00 PM; he claimed they "ran out of daylight" to finish in one day. As a result, inspection was pushed from Tuesday at 10:00 AM to Wednesday at 2:00, and no one cared to tell us about it. Backfilling went from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday. Meanwhile, the workers have complained about working conditions, including not being paid differential on the 4th of July when they had to come out and install risers. Master plumber, Barry says, "We aren't the cheapest. We aren't the most expensive. But we are the best." Avoid at all costs. The septic didn't pass the first inspection and two members of the team, including Phil (perhaps becoming the new GM), the master contractor of the company said they knew the job wouldn't pass inspection the first time. So they KNOWINGLY INSTALLED A SEPTIC SYSTEM THAT WOULD NOT PASS. The system passed on Friday after adding around 300 feet of drain field. Requested to speak to owner James Lapin. He refuses. I wish I would have read the reviews on this company before using them. Careful with the bait and switch price increase. With an unthinkable mess in both bathtubs early Monday morning, the were the only company with availability to get out to my house in College Park the same day. I was out of town and paid over the phone with a credit card. I was originally quoted $275 to drain the septic tank. Hours later I received a call telling me that I needed to give them an extra $140 because the tank was full of solids. WTF? Of course it was full, hence the reason I needed it drained. They literally had me over a barrel so I paid it. They determined that the Leach Field would need to be replacing. THEY WILL NOT BE GETTING THE BUSINESS FROM ME. They matter-of-factly gouged me out of an extra $140 and never mentioned that could be a possibility when they took the job. Terrible taste in my mouth with these guys. Short of refunding my $140 I would not recommend this company to any of my neighbors all on septic too. Let's see if they do the right thing or even care what people think of their business. They had to bring out two trucks because of the distance from tank to road and additional hose needed. Extra charge but explained before calling second truck. Drivers were careful and thorough. Dealing with this company has become a nightmare. Recently I had a pump out by this company. I watched the technician dig the tank open to see if it was full. Come to find out that there's a second tank filled with waste that he never pumped out. I contacted the company and they gentleman told me that pump outs are not warrented. Had another company came out and said that I didn't need a new drainfield like this suggested. For now on I'm going to spend my money on the company that gave me a second opinion even if I have to spend a little bit more money. My sanity will thank me later..., read more
