I had my tank pumped in Dec. 2024. I called them back in March and told them it was backing up in my tub and making gurgling sounds. I live alone, with no dishwasher, and a tiny washer. There is no reason that my tank should be full again. I found an inch or 3/4 piece of plastic pipe in my yard days after they pumped (I should have taken a photo). There is a large patch of weed that has been growing over the tank. It is not normal for this growth to be there. They want me to pay for a plumber or a fee to come out and check it. It took me three calls to have someone tell me they would not come out to check it. Whatever the case, my septic system still does not work properly. I wanted to be happy with the service, but it appears the fellow broke a white PVC pipe when he dug, and now this is the result. read more

I contracted Lapin to do a sewer tie in. Basically, dig a 40' trench in a straight line, downhill, and install the piping. They completed the work as agreed, but professionalism and attention to detail were not up to professional standards in my opinion. First, I asked them not to sever my fiber line (internet) as this is my lifeline to work from my home office. The line was marked, and I took the time to verbally request they hand-dig near that line. The team agreed and proceeded to dig right through it with the backhoe. I lost two days of work as a result. Second, they left areas of the trench unfilled and other areas of the fill were extremely uneven. I've spent hours reconditioning the dig area. Finally, they broke my sprinkler piping in multiple locations and did not even flag them for me to ID the locations to dig back out for repair. While they did send a tech (after much complaining) to fix one spot, I've had to troubleshoot and repair other issues. I understand the sprinklers aren't marked but if you bust through piping at least notify the homeowner so they can repair them. They got the job done, but I would not use them again for anything in the future. read more

Any time any of us are held hostage by backed up toilets we are desperate, and looking for a savior. Many times we go for the flashiest website or someone's recommendation or dealing with them in Time past. What we failed to remember is that the great team the members that we fell in love with when they came to clean out our septic tanks or clogged toilets have moved on found greener pastures instead of browner ones and have hired well let's put it mildly those who don't have a love of septic tank cleaning or bathroom toilet clogs. Not only that but when you have a septic clog and they charge you $400 for 20 minutes of work one has to wonder who's on the take? Such as the case. First we called Frank Gay plumbing and they scared us to death. They told us there were multiple collapses and we had to do both freshwater and sewer unless we wanted to put a "bandaid on it" by only cleaning it. We paid them for videos that they had an impossible time sending and we never received them all. They were going to charge us $103,000! We are so thrilled we then used the project section of Yelp! There were a few smaller companies that couldn't help but Lapin was amazing. José came out and he knew immediately what could be done. He is very experienced with old cast iron pipes, like ours, coming from NY where everyone had them! He suggested hydro cleaning and some high powered toilets for much less, somewhere around $2,000-3,000. He said there were no collapses and took video to show us. Appt scheduled the day after first phone call, Leo showed exactly on time, and was friendly and efficient at finding our drain trouble. It wasn't the overflow to septic as we thought, but the pipe in the wall of the washer drain. He was done in less than 2 hours, and that included finding, repairing, testing, and cleanup. If you choose not to post the negative then your reviews are worthless....I wasted $600 to have a 1,000 gallon system pumped.....refused to locate filter, as i have accessed several times when physically able. Out of the blue one of our toilets decided to take a crap on us . After calling around I ended up using Lapin for the job. Even though their price was pricy I guess it's just a plumbing thing because everyone is expensive when it comes to plumbing work. Ended up replacing the toilet with a new delta $450 & I know what your thinking but yes toilets really cost that much to replace now. I had scheduled septic service, 2 weeks in advance, with Lapin. They scheduled my service for an 8-10am window. I hadn't heard from them to confirm, so I called. I was passed around as they didn't appear to have my appointment. They then said that they had to reschedule my service to later in the afternoon, due to "emergencies". They didn't contact me to confirm or reschedule. I believe that they just forgot my appointment. I canceled the appointment and will try another provider. read more

First off, let me just say that Kimberly is amazing and the company is lucky to have her... I called this morning after a guest complained, that the toilet will not flush... Lapin assured me they could get me on the schedule the next day, however, Kimberly told me that she would keep an eye appointment canceled. Lapin gave us a very fair price after an extremely high estimate from somewhere else. Lapin did not try to do a bunch of add-ons that we did not actually need and replace stuff that was not necessary either. Carlos helped us all along the way and was very friendly And courteous. The crew that replaced our drainfield did a fantastic job as well. I did not give five stars because our permit came through within a couple of days after application. After a few weeks and no schedule set, I was checking up on it and found out that they'd received it two weeks prior. I contacted Carlos right away and he got us on the schedule very quickly. He was surprised that the office did not notify him that the permit was ready. I let the office know that I expected to at least get on the schedule as soon as my permit was available. Other than the breakdown in communication, they did a great job. I did request that they do a pump out once everything was hooked up since I had a nonworking drain field for five weeks prior to installation. I wanted to make sure that the buildup of excess solids with a non-functioning drainfield did not pose a problem in the future. A scheduled it, but I'm not sure if it was done as no one notified me in the end. Lapin also cleaned out and replaced only a small portion of the pipe going from our tank to our drain field instead of replacing it for thousands of dollars like the prior estimate was planning on doing. That would have entailed tearing up A portion of our driveway and then we would have had to fix it ourselves after the service was done. I definitely would use them again but don't just sit and wait without being active in the process. read more

A couple days after and we are looking good! All the water and plumbing issues are resolved with the new drainfield! It has been a headache for months! As soon as I found Lapin, Carlos contacted me immediately to get a quote. Once we found our finances we went ahead. They also offered financing, such as half down and payments. After submitting paper work they had someone pump our tank the next day, then the next feel days crews were coming by taking measurements and soil samples. This reassured us that we picked the right company for the job clearly this was a quick process. Then came the wait... For the permit. As soon as it was approved Carlos called and sent crews next day. Santiago was helpful and answered all questions the drainfield was done by 2pm after being there at 9am so it was very quick. It was a pleasant experience only thing that went wrong that day was our cable line did get cut so we lost Internet and cable for a couple hours. Would recommend to anyone. Our pump alarm went off at 3am, why do these things go off at the worst times? We called Lapin in the morning, Juan answered my call and I told him we had our whole septic system/drainfield installed by them in December of 2019 and they sent a tech to come check it out. Jose Martinez showed up earlier than expected due to a prior cancellation, awesome! He tested a few things and then inspected the dosing tank. Turns out the float was the source of the alarm. He rewired the float and positioned it to hang at the appropriate height and all is now good. Hopefully no more 3am wake up calls! Jose Martinez was very pleasant, answered all of our questions, and even noticed another issue with our main water line that he gave us some advice on. Our septic drain field was not working properly and needed replacement. We called a few companies but decided to go with Lapin because Carlos Labrador was very thorough and honest with all the explanations. He helped us through from beginning to end and always keeping us updated. Robert Consider, the project manager was also helpful and thorough. We are happy with the job and trust Lapin. I need to add something today 5/2/2023 I'm definitely not happy about. They claimed they're the only company with a 10 year limited warranty but didn't explain how truly limited it was. We only discussed the oak tree we had close to the drain field. We had the tree cut in order to get the warranty. The warranty does not mention anything about customers with a water well. We have a water well and did not know we must have a meter to measure the water flow. The limited warranty should be explained in detail prior to a contract. We're very disappointed because we're not covered under the extremely limited warranty. Five stars all the way for these folks! I called Lapin in the late afternoon when I realized there was a leak in my garage. The very next morning, a gentleman by the name of Jim was out to see what the heck was happening. After worrying about the water coming from the slab, it turned out to be a pinhole lead in the kitchen sink pipe, (in the concrete wall), that had been dripping out water for a while. Jim was super nice and worked around the weird piping that is my kitchen, chipping into the wall to get to the bad pipe ... all while my old, senile dog continued to get in his way. It was a difficult arrangement but he was very understanding and helpful. Since my weird pipes were not cooperating with the wall saw and Jim didn't have the specialty tools to continue the leak search, he sent another truck over that did. They were at my home in no time and fixed the leak that day. Huzzah!!! Jim also gave me the information of another great company that could come out to detect any mold that might have manifested from the leak. (I'm glad he did because it turns out ... there WAS mold. Ain't nobody got time for that.) I wouldn't have thought to check it because this is my very first leak. Thanks, Jim for looking out. Anywho, I can't thank Lapin Services enough for their help. Just before Christmas, my son bought an older house, which among other issues, contained polybutylene pipes that needed replaced in order to insure the house. After looking at the online reviews for plumbing companies, we chose three of the highest rated companies and requested estimates. Though there was no significant difference in price between the companies, due to the patience and thoroughness with answering our questions and the kindness we were shown by their estimator, Lapin Services immediately became the frontrunner! Their estimator, Jim, arrived on time and with a friendly and helpful demeanor.  We told him what the home inspector said we needed, and Jim examined the pipes in a few areas in and around the house.  He explained what we should expect during the repipe, the length of time it would take to complete the work, the approximate number of holes they'd need to cut into the walls and when we could expect the permit to be filed and the work to commence.  He was thorough and explained the repipe process in a way which was easy to understand!  As promised, we received a written estimate of the cost via email the very same day and the price was fair, so we chose Lapin Services. Kim, from the Admin & Permitting Dept., was wonderful!  She communicated with our realtor and provided us the paperwork we needed to fill out and have notarized at closing in order to have the permit pulled quickly and kept us up to date about what was happening and when we could expect the final inspection.  Kim became my "go-to" gal for any questions that came up! Amazingly, even though the house closing unexpectedly ran into the late afternoon, which delayed us in getting the paperwork to Kim, she was able to schedule the work to be done the very next morning!  Bryan and Ryan showed up right on time, first thing in the morning, and immediately got to work!  Both men were kind, polite and extremely hard-working!  I'm not exaggerating a bit when I say these guys worked fast and HARD!  They didn't dawdle, goof off or waste any time at all!  They were polite and professional and remained completely fixated on the job at hand!  Not surprisingly, they completed the work much faster than we had anticipated, cleaned up after themselves and the work easily passed the county's final inspection! I won't go into detail but let's just say things were a little rough with communication, timeline, damage, and potential unforseen extra cost. Terrible workmanship. Extremely unprofessional. They were very quick to come out and give us a quote on replacing our drain field. They seemed knowledgeable. They left the job half done with broken electric lines exposed. Initially they told us they repaired the lines. What they did do is bury the lines with dirt Not repaired. Very dangerous. We placed numerous calls and emails to no avail. We hired an electrician to come out and make the repairs. We are still waiting on the completion of the job. I had another company yesterday come tell me that A) I need the system pumped B) I have drain field issues due to high water levels C) the drain field would cost around 5k to fix/replace if need be so. I was not a happy camper last night. Lapin was recommended to me by a close friend, and Chris came out same day and found that my filter was clogged (not even checked by company A). That was my one and only problem. As soon as he pulled the filter, the water levels went back to normal, and he charged me the bare minimum. I don't even need a pump out for another 2-3 years.
