This company is honest, on time and provided the service we needed quickly and professional. I had called to schedule an appointment for a clogged pipe from our bathroom. I called on Wednesday and they arrived ON TIME on Thursday! He was here for about 1 hour and he used a camera to find the clog, flushed the clog and then removed the hardened build up you find in pipes over time. He was very patient with me as I watched him and asked questions so I could learn more about the "health" of our pipes. I will use them again and refer my neighbors to this company as they were honest, on time and did a great job! I will start by saying I do not have a lot of experience with plumbers. This is our first house and we've only owned it for 3 years. On a Thursday we experienced a problem with water leaking at a steady and consistent rate in our walk-in master shower. I called several companies ASAP and only 2 (Herrell being one) seemed to understand the urgency of the situation. After an issue getting the water to the house shut off, we finally did the leaking stopped until the plumber was able to get there. He arrived the same afternoon, assessed the situation and gave us a couple options. We essentially needed a new valve cartridge as our old one went bad. They don't make the kind we have anymore so a new one is needed. He was able to cap off the water just to the shower and turn the rest of our house water on until he was able to get back on Monday to install the new one. Luckily we have a guest bath with a shower. Our tech Tim, although not overly personable was knowledgeable and able to adjust certain things on the new install I requested. I thought their scheduler was personable which was refreshing after some of the companies I contacted. The rates I can't speak too much on considering our lack of experience but they seemed mostly in line according to other people we spoke with. We called at 9 am to have a toilet fixed. The supervisor called back by 930 to advise us our service window was between 10 am and 12 pm. Our plumber arrived and resolved our issue by 1030 am. I know sometimes it's luck of the draw, but the fact that the receptionist was courteous, was able to give us an estimate ($150-$250) and the supervisor called us back in 30 minutes made all the difference. On a Saturday I had my pipe behind the wall next to my water heater start leaking. It was very obvious where it was leaking from as the dry wall was discolored from being moist. I called Harrell Plumbing and told them this information. The man on the phone said it would be $250 to fix the pipe. I was very happy he came out within an hour of my call. He had the leak fix pretty quick and I was happy with the service. But then he gave me the bill and said I had to pay him cash or check and now it was $325. I asked why he said because he had to reach a bit behind the heater to get to the leak. Then when I asked him if he was going to leave the bug hole in the wall he said yes. I just had a great experience with this plumbing company! My kitchen sink started to have a terrible leak. I have a unique industrial brand faucet in an old house, which can always be a bit tricky. A different plumber said they could come look, but they didn't carry the brand of parts for my sink, so they could come and look at it and then would have to come back after ordering the parts. I thought to myself, I don't want to pay the initial $125 for someone to just look and say yea, your faucet is leaking, and then pay it again when they returned the second time. So I called around and came across Herrell. They carried the brand parts I needed. The customer service rep that answered the phone was very nice and set my appointment for the first available date. And even after I set my appointment for Monday morning, the plumber actually arrived today because he ended up being available and in the area. It was such a pleasant surprise because I was concerned about how much water would be wasted and how my water bill would be impacted by the constant drip over the weekend. Bobby, the plumber who arrived to my home, was very nice and professional. He fixed my sink and explained the issue thoroughly. Also very reasonably priced. We had a shower leaking in the wall. Plumber from Herrell came out and replaced some PVC pipes and capped them until we could get a new faucet. Told us it would be $895 to fix it, not including replacing the wall board and tile. This seemed outrageous to us. Got another plumber to come in, looked at it and determined that the wrong pipes were put in by the Herrell Plumber, he used irrigation pipes. When the water was turned back on, it kept leaking. This other plumber fixed our problem and charged less than half of what Herrell was charging, and replaced the wall board and tile. NEVER WILL CALL HERRELL AGAIN!!! read more

They came out pretty quickly to unclog a main drain line. The guy that showed up was nice and seemed to know what he was doing. It took a while to find the clog, I figured it would since I'd tried to find it myself first. He got it cleaned out and let me know it may repeat if there are roots or a line break. I was able reach Herrell and leave a message on their emergency line about 10:00 p.m. Someone actually called me back within 30 minutes! After explaining the problem (water heater quit and caused a flood from 2nd floor) and letting them know our water had been turned off, they said they would have their front office call the next day. They advised it could wait until morning if we could live without the water. They called promptly the next morning and were able to get a licensed plumber to the house that afternoon. He efficiently replaced the water heater and we were done! Less than 24 hours from the initial flood. I am giving this plumbing company one star because their work was unreasonably expensive. I asked them to put in two simple Moen faucets. Everything was ready for them when they came...there was no prep work . My bill for two hours of work putting in two simple faucets was $655. This amounts to a little over $300 an hour. Unclogged my pipes, but i swear he said he wasn't going to charge me to use the camera to check the blockage, but then of course it was on the bill and when i asked he circled around the question. He also found a broken pvc pipe that would cost an additional $450 to fix, little(lot) steep. the guy was nice enough to explain how i can fix it myself, so that was cool and i'll save about $400 doing it myself. The service was find and the work was done ok. My big issue is the first hour minimum charge $125.00 but really for additional 20 minutes I was changed $75.00 thats a rip off. My other question to this company the two values that were replaced I purchased two @ $75.00 each or a nice mark up. As these two Moen values can be purchased at Lowe's for $39.00 dollars each. If you think about the cost which would be $78.00 and Herrell charged $150 for the two almost a 100% markup. I know you need to make a profit but I really feel I got ripped on this service. Just my two cents on your company. I would look for another plumbing company that's a bit more fair on treating senior with the service and cost. My house built in 50's and difficult layout due to additions but obviously, NO JOB IS TOO BIG for HERRELL PLUMBING. I suspected something amiss when the hot water was not available when needed, even with the timer on. I called The Leak Doctor and a slab leak was found leading from the hot water heater.
