The woman I spoke to was friendly, informative, & got us scheduled right away. The technician called when he was on his way as promised. The job ended up being more than estimated bc he found a second septic tank that none of us knew about, so I was ok with the increase. I can't expect them to know about something that I was unaware of. After he completed the job, I got a phone call explaining everything that was done as well as the findings & later received a report. The customer service & attention to detail was excellent. I'll definitely use them in the future.

J & K Litton replaced our septic in Nov of 2016. in Sept of 2022, our septic began backing up. We…read morecontacted them to pump it out and thought nothing of it and went about our business. Less than a year later in July of 2023, our septic started backing up again. When this occurred, we knew there was a problem. My husband started texting/calling J & K Litton Septic Services Inc on July 24, 2023, to come take a look. They pumped it out and at first Mr. Litton claimed that it was a saturation issue. After we continued to having problems with it backing up, Mr. Litton told my husband that he thinks the system failed on the side closest to our driveway. He told us that he would need to dig it up to fix it. This was in August of 2023. Ever since then, Mr. Litton has told us that he will be by numerous times to fix it. We would wait and he would be a no call, no show. Then he started providing us with excuse after excuse on why he can't come by to do the work. He's doing a big job near Disney, he's going on vacation, he's having personal issues, the list of excuses keeps going on and on. On October 10th, Mr. Litton came and dug up part of the system near the driveway. He drilled once into the system and nothing came out, he then dug another hole and drilled again a second time. The water started flowing. Mr. Litton didn't close the hole back up. He told us to leave it like that so we could get some relief from the backups. He told us again that he would take care of it. My husband put some boards over the holes as a safety precaution. Fast forward to Oct 30th, after numerous messages back and forth with Mr. Litton, he still hasn't come by to fix the system and there are still boards in our yard covering up the holes. My husband told him with trick or treaters coming the next day, could he please come by and fix it. Mr. Litton agreed to come by. On Oct 31st, Mr. Litton showed up at our property. He and another man stood looking at the hole, had a conversation back and forth and left, less than 5 minutes later, never making contact with my husband. My husband put plastic horses over the holes, and we turned our porch light off so we wouldn't have any children visiting our home for Halloween. To this date, Nov 28, 2023, there are still holes in our yard and our septic is not fixed. Thanksgiving was ruined and now Christmas is right around the corner and with this not being fixed, our family continues to suffer. During the holiday season, our house is the brightest house on our street. We can't decorate our yard like we do every year for the holidays. We also won't be able to have our annual Christmas Eve celebration with 20+ people in our home. We have to run a pool hose outside to do laundry and the smell when the tank gets full is nauseating; it permeates throughout the house especially in our teenage son's room because the septic is right outside his bedroom window. Often times, our family will be taking a shower, and they look down to see the tub filling up with poop and pieces of toilet paper at their feet. Some may ask why go through all this? Why not just hire another company? This man has over 30+ text messages and conversations with my husband saying that he was going to fix it. This man installed our septic system in 2016 and we actually thought that HE was going to stand behind HIS work and repair it like HE said he was going to. Additionally, we sent a 4-page letter to the BBB over two weeks ago. He still hasn't replied to them... J & K LITTON SEPTIC SERVICES INC - YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! DO NOT HAVE YOUR WORK DONE BY ALPHA SEPTIC!!! I recently had to replace my septic system. The…read morecontractor on my Hurricane Irma damage used Alpha Septic. I caught the supervisor diverting the underground electric service to the wall out in front of my property and told him he couldn't "steal" electric from that permitted job as it cost me a small fortune. He said he was doing it anyway because he needed to finish his job that day, and that the contractor, Assist2Build would have to put in a new circuit. The circuit has never worked and is constantly tripping the breaker. The septic pump has an alarm that depends upon the electric circuit, and the pump has never worked anyway, which means my shower backs up after a short shower. How does this happen you wonder since the permitting process is so strict on a new septic system? THE COUNTY CHECKS THE WORK PRIOR TO THE DRAINFIELD BEING COVERED, BUT DO NOT CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE SYSTEM FUNCTIONS PROPERLY OR THAT THE PUMP WORKS. Alpha Septic does not stand behind their shoddy work and can't be trusted on your property (if they are going to divert electric service from another source). Also, they chopped down branches from a gorgeous arching oak and a worker had stolen the staghorn fern off the branch, but returned it when I began furiously digging in the pile of dirt under where the branch used to be. The arching oak tree wasn't in their work area and didn't need to be bothered at all. They could have put their temporary piles of dirt just about anywhere else, but they thought nothing of destroying my landscaping. Piles of gravel were left along the area in the grass that were dug up from the old system. The site was left lumpy and full of roots and litter. It took me several months to get it cleaned up. This was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. How could this possibly happen? It was the contractor paying the tab, and they knew it, because I would have withheld payment until the damage that could have been mitigated was ... but nothing will bring back my beautiful tree. Also, there was a huge, wide, and deep pit left right in front of my shed such that I can't get my lawnmower into the shed or use my shed since the pit is too difficult for this disabled senior to navigate.
