My wife and I often go here for brunch and it never disappoints. Their shrimp tacos are delicious that goes with a spicy sauce that perfectly compliments the tacos. The birria burger with bacon is my wife's favorite! Better come in hungry because they have big portions. Their service personnel are always very attentive and make sure everything is taken cared of. Saw Tostados on Check Please; finally went to try it out. Yummy stuff, so much wonderful food. I had the tacos-yummy; my companion had the carna asada Benedict. Again, lots of good food. Beans and rice could have been warmer (came cold) but they were soon 98.6. My eyes kept wandering to what others were ordering-some sort of Mexican pizza was at another table-then I saw other dishes passing by! Oh my, will be back for more. Tostadas needs to change their name to Te Tardas & here is why I came across a post on @Missfoodiebayarea IG about Tostadas, so we decided to take my dad there for his birthday celebration. I called ahead to confirm they could accommodate our party of 12, and the host assured us they could. The ambiance and comfortable seating were the only positive aspects of the place. Our server took our drink order promptly, and our drinks arrived after about 10 minutes. The mango drinks came out wrong, water tasted and smelled like chlorine, aqua fresca ordered without ice, came with ice. Extra tostadas for the salsa's s near came after asking at least three separate times. We placed our food order and patiently waited. While waiting, a group of four behind us asked their waiter for their order, but they left 15 minutes later without getting their order taken. Despite requesting refills, drinks were not replenished, and an additional alcoholic drink arrived before the refills. Our food started arriving slowly after a 15-minute wait, with plates coming out one by one for some of us: *Family member 1: Nachos with cold chicken, which was reheated but ended up dry. *Family member 2: The breakfast sandwich was soggy and left untouched. *Family member 3: The fajitas tasted like ketchup, missing shrimp, and took 20 minutes for 5 shrimp to arrive and the rest of the fajita was cold. *Family member 4: Breakfast burrito lacked flavor. *Family member 5, 6, 7: Didn't receive bread with their breakfast meals. *Family member 8,9: Food arrived 40 minutes later than the rest. *My Dad: His 3 steak tacos arrived over 1 hr later. An hour into our visit, the manager, Jose Antonio, came to our table from the kitchen, acknowledging the hiccups and asking about our experience. We expressed our concerns, highlighting the need for quality control. He explained that the assigned waiter was inexperienced. This was ridiculous to hear from the manager who oversees the front and back of the house. It felt like the waiter was setup for failure and no other waiter helped. After speaking with us for about 10 minutes, Jose Antonio "the manager"approached my dad, who pointed out the poor treatment on his birthday, emphasizing an empty spot on the table. The manager apologized but took another 20 minutes to bring out the three tacos my dad had ordered. Waiters can over to sing happy birthday to my dad. The manager had 3 dessert brought out for my dad. It was expressed that my dad couldn't eat that or he would end up in the hospital due to him being diabetic and STILL more dessert were brought to him. Despite an $82 discount from the manager, our experience was so unsatisfactory that we had to go to another restaurant for a proper meal. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for special occasions like birthdays. @Missfoodiebayarea must also be held accountable bc she is promoting subpar restaurants for personal gain this is unethical and dishonest on her part as well . It's important for influencers like herself to maintain their integrity and provide honest recommendations to their followers. Misleading practices can damage trust and credibility in the long run. What's worse is in this day in age where everything is now more expensive makes you wonder is she's all about her followers or her pockets? read more

Delicious food. I had birria tostadas . HUGE PORTIONS. BUT I also had to call the waiter back over because we "forgot" to order our house Margaritas (we weren't asked if we wanted a cocktail) . The SMALL margarita in an old fashion glass was $16.50. Almost as much as my $18 tostada. WAY WAY WAY to high priced for a HOUSE Margarita. Also I wish they had "typical" chips and salsa. Instead they bring full tortillas and you have to break it up yourself. read more

My husband and I visited Tostadas Campbell last Friday and had a great night! The food was delicious, ambiance was fun and our waiter Robert O was awesome! The place was busy but the hostess was able to seat us upon arrival and without reservation. Robert had great energy and was very knowledgeable of the menu. I'm not a big drinker but he recommended a fun tropical cocktail, Passion trocenira that was presented with a fire flame! So fun! For dinner he suggested the Trampo pastor that was amazing! The complimentary salsas were really good, so I hope that translates to the rest of the menu. The only downside was that one of our party ordered shrimp tacos and they came about 10 minutes after the rest of us got our food which meant that we all sat there with our food getting cold waiting for hers to be served. I really like the concept of Tostadas but service at most of their locations is poor. This location in particular service is super slow, I have been here a handful of times and always wait a long time for orders to be taken and even longer for food to come out. After today we probably are not coming back. There are a few things on the menu that are consistently good but most are hit or miss. The chilaquiles are absolutely delicious Their birria tacos are also very good. Camarones a la diabla are also good. Their breakfast entrees are definitely better than lunch read more

I have to say I was very impressed by this location. I'm a big fan of Tostadas Downtown, so I decided to give this location a try. I had the Guacamole as an appetizer and it was just as fresh as I expected. I had a Bacon Birria Burger as an entree and it was just like I expected, juicy and savory. My go to drink at Tostadas Downtown has always been the Cantarito, and I think everyone should try it at least once. It's life changing. And to top it all off my waitress Tanya gave me excellent customer service. I will be back soon. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I heard about the other locations as being good. This experience I will not try again or other locations. Campbell location looks nice. The quality of food for what they charge is not there. If you have a plate for over $40.00 I expect it to be higher quality food and cooked to order. I ordered a steak medium, it came out well done. The tray was sizzling so hot the oil was popping as if making bacon on high heat. It popped all over us. Service is slow and took a while for us to get any staff attention. The menu was large and a bit confusing of what you are to expect. I left with an impression that this was suppose to be nicer restaurant. However I don't care about how it looks as much as service, quality of food and my experience while dining. Manager took care of the meal, I just don't see myself going again. She called the downtown location and was told to "Google the Campbell number". Based on this response, we will pass. We are in San Jose and there are million great Mexican food options.
