    Casual-cozy yet unique dining environment

I am a known salad connoisseur, and this restaurant, cleverly named Tossed, far beyond exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, there are SO many options for what exactly you may be craving, whether it be a salad, wrap, taco/rice bowl, etc. Then, as there should be in EVERY "build your own" based eatery, there is the multitude of options one has for add-ins, protein, dressing type, you name it! Service was incredible, considering there was only one man running the show (I believe so), and he was kind, accommodating, and patient as we read through the menu. The special was what my mother and I went for, since we are both fond of a crab cake and the idea of a crab cake salad was intriguing! When I tell you my eyes nearly popped when our salads were brought to the table.....oh my! The salads are served in a serving bowl, meaning they are enormous. Perfect for leftovers! The roasted red pepper, balsamic dressing, slight spice of the crab cakes, and texture of the avocado and edamame paired with it all- a party in my mouth! For the price, you are getting your moneys worth, that's for certain! One suggestion would be to order a single salad and share, but I was perfectly fine not sharing;) I am so glad that we gave this little place on Market Street a test run today! I will most certainly be back!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Corning Museum of Glass. The menu is huge and customizable -- definitely something for everyone (wraps, salads, rice bowls). I ordered a custom salad and got the most ginormous salad I've ever had ($9 for unlimited toppings; I added chicken for $2). My only complaint was that the mushrooms were dirty, but the owner did explain they value organic produce and chop everything in house. Get the house made tzatziki dressing -- it's amazing!!

Wow! The food is great here. I'm confused though. I'm not sure how with reasonable prices, serving sizes this generous, and such high quality food they are making any money! Amazing. The serving sizes are literally bonkers (hand for scale, sorry no banana)

Love the Buddha and Cali bowls here... perfect for warming up during the cold weather. The food is healthy and the owner easily accommodates allergens. The portions are absolutely huge too! I only wish they were open for dinner and on Sundays. One of my favorite spots on market street for a healthy quick bite!

We had visited the Corning Museum of Glass and had heard great things about Market Street. Tossed caught our eye for the type of food and options available. Our party had a build your own salad- with many options for toppings. You could add quinoa for a slight up charge, but my daughter loved it. I got the Cobb salad and they gladly substituted items. The salads are HUGE and delicious. My husband got the California wrap which he enjoyed. We also had one if the homemade cookies available- mmm good! The owner was the person helping us, we believe. He stated he grows some of his own produce hydroponically and uses local farmers for others. We ate outside and he came to check on us once to make sure everything was to our liking. Great lunch and would definitely return.

This was an awesome place. The concept is very different and unique. If you love a great salad and have been looking for somewhere to go, then go here. First thing first, the portion sizes are HUGE. A couple could easily split a salad or anyone else with company! They offer pita wraps, wraps, salads, and a customize your own salad. With that being said, I got a customize your own salad. It came with buffalo chicken, eggs, tomatoes, croutons, ranch, and blue cheese dressing. It was amazing. I got spinach and lettuce for my base. The amount of options for the topping of your salads is amazing! They have just about everything. My grandma also customized her own salad and my aunt got the Pandora box. They offer drinks inside a small cooler. There is little decor but it honestly doesn't need it. The service was quick and great. The salads are delicious. I can't wait to try the wraps.

I will definitely go back, and eat from their food menu, and take pics. I didn't take any pics, because our experience didn't seem to align with all the 4 and 5 star reviews. which signals to me, that our experience may not have been a normal experience. We had never been and had not heard much about it. I checked out their website first. Which is a fun looking website. It appeared to be a diner that also sold ice cream. We pulled in, there were outside tables set up under shaded canopies. Lots of space for kids to run around We noticed the front had a walk up and order Ice cream window. Past that was the door to the restaurant part. The restaurant inside area was small, The menu sounded amazing. Chili dogs, fried hot dogs, they had some interesting hot dog ideas, as well as Hamburgers, fish plates etc. shakes, Ice cream. Very laid back atmosphere. If you have kids, it will be a super, affordable win. It definitely has its place in Lodi, and I do see they are a big success with Ice Cream and take out. Which is what I wish we did. The first thing that hit us when we walked in was the smell of fish, it was a super strong offensive odor. I looked to my right and saw a few people at the table with fish baskets. I thought to myself, that must be where the odor was coming from. But wondered why they smelled so bad. We sat down, ooh'ed and ahhh'd over the menu, but still nose crinkled over the odor of fish. We decided that the kitchen must not have good ventilation either and we were smelling every fish fry they had cooked that day, and maybe even more days. I do not recommend eating inside. Then we noted the flies. We were swatting left and right. I know restaurants have flies, it is hard to keep them out of the kitchen, and they are expected in outdoor seating, but inside the restaurant. Nope! That's even a Big Nope for me. Little miss outdoors. We decided to leave the indoor seating area, skip lunch, and ordered Ice cream outside at the window. Dessert for lunch felt a bit naughty, in a fun way. Yes, I heard it too. I am an adult, that doesn't like adulting. Haha! We ordered soft serve twists. Our rational being that just the soft serve machine needed to be clean. So there was no chance of flys landing on it. We are not weird germaphobes, but once your brain starts down that rabbit hole, sometimes you just cannot find your way back, that was us. We were down the rabbit hole. The Ice cream was really good, ALL of the employees were very nice. We felt no judgement leaving the table and going outside to order Ice cream. While we were waiting for our ice cream, the wind shifted and the odor was just disgusting. This was outside, we took a look around and we found a Porto-potty on the side of the building. Just around the corner from the Ice cream pick up window, and next to that was a Dumpster. So take your pick on what caused the odor. While we were in our car we decided to play a game of what we would do differently, if we owned it. This what we came up with. 1) Deep clean the inside eating area 2) add ventilation to the kitchen and dining area. 3) add a mesh, magnetic fly door. 4) make sure employees are also swatting and disposing of flys. 5) move dumpster to front left side of parking lot. 6) buy a portable- potty trailer, those will need magnetic mesh fly doors on those as well.

This itself says so much about the restaurant. Food is consistently good, staff (including the owner) take the time to greet the customers & make them feel comfortable and service is very quick (Less than 20 minutes) My favorites were and still are falafel and mamoul cookies. In fact, I tried mamoul for the very first time here and got instantly addicted. They're shortbread cookies (made with a special impression) filled with either dates or fig paste. Not overly sweet and made with the right consistency, I highly recommend them. Prices are fair and although they have a dine-in area, last I checked, they allow only takeout.
