Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!

The tables looked like the lunch rush had just came through and were not wiped all the way clean. Now one thing I never seen anywhere else was they had cleaner/sterilizer at every table with a roll of paper towels. Maybe they assumed each customer would clean the tables themselves or it was to make it easy for whoever was cleaning the tables. They have a normal amount of options for a burrito shop. What they don't have is salsa with the chips. I know places like Chipotle and Moes (Chain places) have the salsa bar. Most other burrito places I have been that are not chains will give you a small container of salsa or queso being an additional charge. We both got steak burrito's and I should have tried something else so we could review two options. The burritos are bigger than what the chain places offer. Flavor a little different. My wife said something was off with the steak I just thought it was over salted. It was very soft and was in an almost gravy looking juice. I have been to some places that ask every option and places that stand there and wait for you to tell them. This was a little of both. Not as many options as a chain restaurant. The staff seemed pretty friendly and we didn't have any issues with anyone. The food was at best ok. Great for the area it is in. All in all an ok experience. I will probably try them again with a different selection.

We tried the 1/4 lb platter. With fries and potato salad. The pulled pork was amazing. Great flavor and very tender. The smoked sausage was as good as any smoked sausage I have had in upstate NY. The chicken was also very tender and had a good smoked flavor. The ribs had a lot of flavor and were not over cooked like some places do. The brisket.... Was brisket.... Maybe it wasn't made today which is fine. It tasted more like a roast than a brisket. My wife and I differ on our opinions of BBQ houses. I like to try the meats before I put any sauce on. My wife like it covered beforehand. This place doesn't smother it but does put it on before I got a chance to try the meats. The potato salad was ok but not bursting in flavor. The pieces in it are cut fairly large. It was ok. Fries are fries. A little over salted. But they did have malt vinegar. We might try this place again.

I wondered if it had really been barbecued. I didn't finish it. The ribs were okay, but not enough to make up for the brisket. The only part of the meal I really liked was the broccoli, which had been cooked with bacon. The plate below, with ¼ pound each of ribs and brisket, cole slaw, small corn muffin, and broccoli, was $47 including tax and tip. Price, service, and atmosphere were all acceptable, I have no complaints there. But the food was not good enough to bring me back.

For the fries I went to the condiments counter to get some salt and add it myself. Turns out there were no salt packets there. There was ketchup so I added that instead. Last year's experience shows they were a dismal failure. I felt like they owe me an apology for screwing up so much. This year thither I went again. This time the kitchen was crowded. Can't say they're understaffed this time. They had a new set of employees working in the kitchen and an older man running the register. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and it was very good but not fabulous. The fries however came out superb, were perfectly salted, and were cooked light brown. They were awesome. I got a strawberry lemonade too and thank god it was not watered-down this time. Everything about this meal was properly made. Even tho I didn't need additional salt I went to the condiments counter to check if they had salt stocked there. Sure enough there were packets of Sea Salt there. This year at this Wendy's location they are executing much better and I sure hope it stays that way.

The bar was empty aside from one guy sitting at the bar. As we walk in we heard the bartender say "f*cking, of course." She then proceeded to stomp around banging things. A server was standing in the dining area And I asked "are you not open, we can go someplace else." She told me "no it's fine, we're open til 8:00 don't worry about that" and gestured at the bar. We sat there until 6:00 listening to her swear and complain that we'd walked in, with no one coming to bring menus or anything. My kids even were like "whys she mad dad I thought they were open." And "why haven't they come to take our order?" We finally just got up and left, as as we did the bartender was just standing staring at us the server who'd told us to come in was sitting playing on her phone, and what looked like the kitchen guy was sitting on a bar stool staring at us to. I thanked them for their hospitality and we left. Definitely wouldn't go back to that unfriendly place.

What's different at every Applebee's? The people who are greeting, serving, and checking on you while you wait for your 2 for $20 meal to come out with that last $1.50 brownie bite. Never would I think that I would be on a first name basis with people at any chain restaurant but without a kitchen to cook at (in renovation mode) and this is the closest place, you work with what you can. So what do we do? We come here at least once or twice a week, especially during football when wings (for LC) is only 50 cents a wing. Great deal. We come for half off apps and drink specials but also the people. The bartender, Ang, is the best. She is so good at her job and super friendly. She greets us all the time, remembers our football teams and even our drink orders. She knows I like the mozzarella sticks and spinach dip when it hits 9pm so I can get the half off special. She chats with us about life and football, asks about how the renovations are going and all around great. It's not just for us either, she has so many regulars that love her and it's great to get her service. We used to sit at tables and now only go to the bar to talk to her. The managers there have been pretty nice too. Before we came here a lot we had an issue with a To-Go order and the manager was so helpful. An older gentleman who was just great at greeting people and making sure everyone was happy. If you visit here, sit at the bar and have Ang take care of you.
