Our waitress Christy was very rude. she wasn't polite and was very rude when we were ordering our food. she rolled her eyes multiple times when we asked questions about the menu. she then proceeded to throw our appetizer on our table and didn't even say anything. we hadn't had our food for more than 3 minutes and she was already asking if we wanted boxes for our food. she also did not warn me that my dessert dish was hot and I burned my finger and then she told me it was hot. we were very unhappy with our service and we will not be returning. read more

As we were traveling this weekend we stopped in for dinner, the food was delicious and the service was good. Yes it's the normal Applebees but I can tell you they are not all the same. This store is definitely one od the better ones. read more

Atmosphere - Just like any older Applebee's. Local sports teams decorate the walls. The bar area with high top tables. While the area outside the bar has booths and tables. Food Drinks - Just water. Dinner - Nothing was catching the eye of my wife and myself. We decide to split the Bourbon street chicken & shrimp and I order a side Caesar salad. I received my salad before the appetizer, which I not realize until my Dad's order arrived after I finished. A side salad figured would have come with the meal. The salad was small with the right amount of dressing. The croutons were not crunching, and a little chewy. My wife took all the shrimp which I was probably thankful for that. The chicken was flavor well, but the chicken was over cooked. The grilled onions were the best part of the order. Service - Hard to pay attention to service with such a large group. But side salad served before the appetizer was wrong. Future - No thanks. read more

i have always loved going to Applebee's sense i was little and i have always had a good time. there new appetizers are SO good and they were fast and welcoming. My mom and i were there for under an hour and had amazing good. definitely would recommend!! read more

The upside: there's a really reasonable "pick two" lunch menu, where you can pick 2 choices from a half sammich mini menu, half salad, or soup. A honey mustard house salad and chicken fajita wrap for me, por favor. I don't know whether it's the location's reputation or something about the area around Painted Post, but it was filling up tables and turning them over quickly on a random Tuesday night. My local Applebee's barely surpasses that volume on Veterans Day! I stopped in here on the long drive home from Canada. I'm going to assume that readers basically know what Applebee's is, as a chain. This is a pretty good one. It's very clean and well maintained, and it looked like a lot of the interior (furniture, decorations, etc.) were new. The cleanliness extended to the bathrooms. The booths were comfortable. The server seemed a bit rushed (understandably enough), but she took our order and got us our food quickly, and it was good when it came out. So this review is more on service than it is food, because it's a chain restaurant, most of the food is frozen or the same at every single Applebee's. What's different at every Applebee's? The people who are greeting, serving, and checking on you while you wait for your 2 for $20 meal to come out with that last $1.50 brownie bite. Never would I think that I would be on a first name basis with people at any chain restaurant but without a kitchen to cook at (in renovation mode) and this is the closest place, you work with what you can. So what do we do? We come here at least once or twice a week, especially during football when wings (for LC) is only 50 cents a wing. Great deal. We come for half off apps and drink specials but also the people. The bartender, Ang, is the best. She is so good at her job and super friendly. She greets us all the time, remembers our football teams and even our drink orders. She knows I like the mozzarella sticks and spinach dip when it hits 9pm so I can get the half off special. She chats with us about life and football, asks about how the renovations are going and all around great. It's not just for us either, she has so many regulars that love her and it's great to get her service. We used to sit at tables and now only go to the bar to talk to her. The managers there have been pretty nice too. Before we came here a lot we had an issue with a To-Go order and the manager was so helpful. An older gentleman who was just great at greeting people and making sure everyone was happy. If you visit here, sit at the bar and have Ang take care of you. read more

This has to be the best managed Applebees that I have had the pleassure of eating in. The wait staff were friendly and prompt. The good was well prepared abd nit overly salted. On top of that corporate had really stepped up the game on the kids meny selection. Instead of the same typical fair the kids actually have a nice selection and healthy but tasty choices. We are glad we picked to eat here while visiting Corning. read more

Today is my son's 13th bday. He asked to go to Applebee's. Starting out everything was fine but after our appetizer came it took 30 min for main meal and we were forgotten about after we received it. No drink refills not dessert..no boxes..etc. It was horrible. It was not busy and there were 2 waitresses handling a total of 5 tables. Our waitress came after another saw I was visibly upset and said she had been "extremely busy". I spent 65.29 on my son's 13th bday to receive horrible service. This is the 2nd time in a row. I've eaten here once or twice a year, over the years. Went again yesterday and, as always, was pleased with the cleanliness of the place (including women's restroom), friendly staff, good service, and good food. A busy lunch, but we were seated right away. Six of us, three couples all asking for separate checks, and that was not a problem for our waitress. Food took quite a while to come, but we eat lunch out weekly and like to take our time. My choice of the fairly new Shrimp Scampi Linguine was an A-1 choice! Large portion, lots of shrimp (I mean, LOTS!). Will order again when I go back, but probably the smaller portion with a salad. Didn't realize it was also on the special lunch menu which allows you to pair two choices for smaller portions and lower price. Well, as I said, it was very tasty. Shrimp done just right--every one of them. Loved the sauce. Linguine cooked perfectly. Gentleman I was with had the Double Glazed Baby Back Ribs which came with fries and cole slaw. He was very happy with his meal, as were the other four people in our party. Everyone had something different and not a complaint in the group. BTW, Applebee's chili is chili peppers, beef and tomatoes. No beans. Beans are not a part of original chili recipes. read more

Great experience with catering from Painted Post Applebees! We ordered catering for a family dinner and everything was great. The whole experience was very good. The food was delicious, the portions were huge! Leftovers for all! Our special requests were done correctly. They included plenty of condiments, plasticware, including serving utensils, cups, everything we needed. I would definitely do it again. The two stars I gave Applebee's happened to be for their food. Now it's pretty much standard food that you would expect there so not exactly a lot to rave about in terms of differences from other restaurants. Unfortunately the last two times that my spouse and I went there, the service was poor. The first time we were in a hurry and the waitress spent a lot of time chatting at the other table although we had told her we needed to get going. The next time it just took forever to get our food and there were not a lot of customers there. I think management may need an overhaul. read more

Passing through the Painted Post area, we stopped at this Applebee's as we have often retreated to this chain when we wanted solid food in an area where we did not know the restaurants. I am writing this review not because of the food which, as I mentioned, is always solid, but because of the service and the more than fair way the manager resolved a misunderstanding about the pricing on the menu. The misunderstanding was just as much our fault as that of the menu wording, but it was resolved favorably by the manager. Cheers to a good staff. read more

This is the best Applebee's we have ever visited. App lenders are not all of the same quality. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious. And the prices are excellent. Had supper here while we were in town for the marathon weekend. Everything we had was cooked perfectly, tasted really good and the service was great! We stopped here on our way to canada. The service was alright, nothing to write home about. The portion sizes were really small, my wife had the jalapeño shrimp with rice. The shrimp were slightly larger than a quarter and there was only seven of them. There was a lot of tomato and a minimal amount of other vegetables. My wife has a small appetite, and this is the first time she ever walked out of an american restaurant not full and carrying a togo box. I had the cajun steak and shrimp, the got the temperature right on my steak, but again only 4 shrimp the same size as earlier stated. The beans and rice were old, you could taste the water they dumped into the rice to keep it from drying out the beans were starting to wrinkle, as they so when there left out too long. I don't recommend this Applebee's. Maybe try one of the small local restaurants, or save 30 dollars and grab some fast food. My wife argued this was a one star, however i am giving it a two becausey steak was cooked correctly and our food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. read more

The food was good but the waitress Christina M. was not. It was the first time in 5 years we have had a bad waitress. She wasn't friendly in the least bit, she acted like we were bugging her and lastly didn't even say have a good night or thanks for coming in. If we weren't so displeased I wouldn't even be writing this review. We usually love Applebee's because it's so clean and the food is so great but this particular time the waitress ruined that. I am wondering why this Applebee's would deny anyone alcohol when they come to this restaurant to celebrate their 21st birthday? I came in on a Wednesday afternoon (I work nights, so the only thing I could do to celebrate my birthday was to go out to lunch to Applebee's with family and the intention of buying my first legal drink) There was a whopping two people sitting down to eat in the entire restaurant, and when I told the waitress it was my birthday and placed an order for an alcoholic beverage she asked for my ID (keep in mind, not everyone's renewed license comes in the mail BEFORE or EXACTLY on their birthday) So I gave her my old license (the only one I had and I even had my interim license in my hand to prove that I was waiting for a new one in the mail) and she looked at the "Under 21" and said that she couldn't serve me. She didn't even look at the 10-15-1993. She said it was Applebee's policy to not serve when their license says "Under 21" which is odd because it has been a week since my birthday and every other place that I went has gladly accepted me just by looking at the birth date on my license. (I still haven't gotten the renewed one in the mail, either.) This was the worst experience I've had at this Applebee's - needless to say I was completely crushed that I wasn't going to be able to celebrate my 21st birthday even with only a simple drink. (It still means a lot) I regret not asking for a manager or walking out on the spot because it would have been nice to have had that experience of buying my first legal drink for myself on my birthday. read more
