    Casual-cozy yet unique dining environment

I am a known salad connoisseur, and this restaurant, cleverly named Tossed, far beyond exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, there are SO many options for what exactly you may be craving, whether it be a salad, wrap, taco/rice bowl, etc. Then, as there should be in EVERY "build your own" based eatery, there is the multitude of options one has for add-ins, protein, dressing type, you name it! Service was incredible, considering there was only one man running the show (I believe so), and he was kind, accommodating, and patient as we read through the menu. The special was what my mother and I went for, since we are both fond of a crab cake and the idea of a crab cake salad was intriguing! When I tell you my eyes nearly popped when our salads were brought to the table.....oh my! The salads are served in a serving bowl, meaning they are enormous. Perfect for leftovers! The roasted red pepper, balsamic dressing, slight spice of the crab cakes, and texture of the avocado and edamame paired with it all- a party in my mouth! For the price, you are getting your moneys worth, that's for certain! One suggestion would be to order a single salad and share, but I was perfectly fine not sharing;) I am so glad that we gave this little place on Market Street a test run today! I will most certainly be back!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Corning Museum of Glass. The menu is huge and customizable -- definitely something for everyone (wraps, salads, rice bowls). I ordered a custom salad and got the most ginormous salad I've ever had ($9 for unlimited toppings; I added chicken for $2). My only complaint was that the mushrooms were dirty, but the owner did explain they value organic produce and chop everything in house. Get the house made tzatziki dressing -- it's amazing!!

Healthy and sooooo many options, something for everyone!! Just an fyi they do not wait on you, you go up to the counter to order, then they bring it up to you.

Wow! The food is great here. I'm confused though. I'm not sure how with reasonable prices, serving sizes this generous, and such high quality food they are making any money! Amazing. The serving sizes are literally bonkers (hand for scale, sorry no banana)

Love the Buddha and Cali bowls here... perfect for warming up during the cold weather. The food is healthy and the owner easily accommodates allergens. The portions are absolutely huge too! I only wish they were open for dinner and on Sundays. One of my favorite spots on market street for a healthy quick bite!

We had visited the Corning Museum of Glass and had heard great things about Market Street. Tossed caught our eye for the type of food and options available. Our party had a build your own salad- with many options for toppings. You could add quinoa for a slight up charge, but my daughter loved it. I got the Cobb salad and they gladly substituted items. The salads are HUGE and delicious. My husband got the California wrap which he enjoyed. We also had one if the homemade cookies available- mmm good! The owner was the person helping us, we believe. He stated he grows some of his own produce hydroponically and uses local farmers for others. We ate outside and he came to check on us once to make sure everything was to our liking. Great lunch and would definitely return.

After making my takeout order she talked with me for 20 minutes about her family, business (has operated this restaurant for 53 years!), and travels. On top of that, she made everything with one hand while wearing a cast from surgery from last week. Such a neat character, restaurant, and amazing food.

The food also felt very healthy. It wasn't heavy at all. It was a little bit on the pricey red but still, it just felt so homey so organic and overall the ambience made the whole experience.

Noticed the soup at that time and wanted to give it a try as well as other offerings. The place was very nice and clean so we ordered and sat at a table near the far wall. The cashier was pleasant but seemed geared more towards locals as we felt a bit awkward in our asking about the menu, especially the soup. After placing our order we looked over a few table games located in the corner, could not decide on one, which was ok since our food quickly arrived. I tasted the soup and commented that it was excellent to the cashier and asked if they made the soup and got an awkward, no I don't make the soups, Johnny makes them. I was blown away from the flavor, consistency and presentation and just wanted to know if it was made in house. The soup was incredible and better than many fine dining variations I've tried across the country and abroad. The Haddock was fried perfectly with a light crispy coating and delicious coleslaw and perfectly cooked fries with just the right amount of tartar sauce. The Bacon Jam Smashburger was equally as excellent as the jam really stood out and completed the burger presentation. Lastly the Brussel sprouts were nice prepared, and spot on in flavor and presentation. These too were flavorful, and perfect. This entire dining experience was a joy and an experience we were not expecting, even commenting the next morning on how well executed the menu items were presented. Johnny's food would compete well again many high end gourmet establishments I've been too at much higher prices. This place is absolutely a true food Mecca and offers a wonderful dining experience! Thank you for the skills presented on the menu that carried over to the food we enjoyed!

This itself says so much about the restaurant. Food is consistently good, staff (including the owner) take the time to greet the customers & make them feel comfortable and service is very quick (Less than 20 minutes) My favorites were and still are falafel and mamoul cookies. In fact, I tried mamoul for the very first time here and got instantly addicted. They're shortbread cookies (made with a special impression) filled with either dates or fig paste. Not overly sweet and made with the right consistency, I highly recommend them. Prices are fair and although they have a dine-in area, last I checked, they allow only takeout. And, their timings are suitable for lunch and early dinner, so plan accordingly.

The baba ghanouj is light and fresh, unlike store-bought brands that can sometimes taste metallic or bitter. Add the meat pie for a well-seasoned update on the pasty we grew up with (apparently the Cornish pasty is a protected food in the EU, like champagne or asiago, who knew).

Definitely a spot where you could linger for a while. Food-wise, we ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken (breaded in crushed Cheerios--yes, Cheerios, and yes, surprisingly delicious!), the bánh mì, and the crispy chicken sandwich, which ended up being the star of the show. Every bite of that sandwich was perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and satisfying. We upgraded our side to the greens, which came topped with some mysterious orange ingredient--maybe a grated carrot dressing? Whatever it was, it was scrumptious. We also ordered a side of pickles, which were surprisingly affordable and so flavorful that they disappeared fast. We didn't try any drinks, but the menu had plenty of interesting options to choose from. One of my favorite parts of the experience was how family-friendly the place felt: while we waited, the kids grabbed a new-to-us game (The Enchanted Forest) from the board game shelves, which made the time fly by. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, and overall we had a fantastic experience. If we lived closer, this would be a regular lunch spot for sure!

The service was fast and great. While I am vegetarian and my spouse is gluten free, we are always pleasantly surprised when we both find delicious food. I loved the general tso's poboy with cauliflower and tofu. I wish there was more cauliflower since my 1 year old took many of those pieces. My spouse got something with "pulled pork and quinoa" and he said it was very good too.
