We showed her the tag marked 29.99. She acted exasperated and said she would have to get the manager who was five feet away. The manager came up and we showed her the tag. With a rude attitude she said it wasn't 29.99 and peeled off the tag. No apology for the mistake. From the comments below it sounds like the same manager. We have 5 teenagers. If this is the type of people they hire, the way the train and conduct business, we will no longer shop at any American Eagle store.

Wore my jeans for 3 hours and the waste band stretched from a size 8 to like a size 12. Tried to come exchange for a size 4 or 6 since I had not washed them and only worn them for a few hours. Asked me what I was doing and when I said waiting for a movie to end she said I should go to Barnes and Noble. The clothing looked nice and high end. I can't help but think she made an incorrect assumption that I didn't have money. I was actually interested in finding a party dress and some classics but she was so rude I won't go back.
