Great service, even better food. Zach took care of us! Stop by for the atmosphere. Always a great time

First timer to this joint!!! Bruhhhh if you're new to my reviews... SHAME ON YA. Where you been?!? Lol... but seriously if you follow my reviews you'll know I LOVE TACOS!!! So, when my friend asked Saltgrass or Torchy's ya'll ALREADY know my answer. I ordered the fried avocado, trailer park and another taco. Everything was beyond delicious. But the trailer park came with a caramelized bacon jam to add on top...LAWWWD SWEET BABY JESUS that jam had me lickin' my fingers. I didn't eat the bacon, but the syrup from it Yassss. Sweet & Savory with a hint of tang in combination w/ the grilled chicken and spinach...ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY!!! The fried avocado was amazing as well. The refried beans on the corn shell blended very well with the crisp and warmth of the avocado. All in all I'd definitely dine here again. read more

I enjoy Torchy's tacos overall so when I seen this location on the way home from work, I had to stop! I enjoy the independent a vegan option and the Baja shrimp a pescatarian option, they're usually my go to options. But this time I ordered the 2 independent, 1 brushfire, and queso for $20. I know expensive, right? Well yes, but the ticks are usually soooo good I go back every time. But this time, I was underwhelmed by the flavors, actually I was offended! The brushfire taco was too spicy, so much do that I did not enjoy it and the independent tacos needed more sauce and texture. I likely won't return to this location. Although I will say that the environment is far more spacious compared to other Torchy's restaurants and the staff was quick friendly and attentive. read more

Service at this location has always been pretty decent. Orders are always made fresh and I haven't had anything made incorrectly. Personal favorites are the hillbilly queso and ace of spades taco! Breakfast tacos are also delicious and their Diablo sauce is my all time fave. They do offer grilled options as opposed to fried, there are many secret menu items, they also do bowls for tacos instead of the shell in case you're lower carb. read more

Wonderful l! Absolutely lived up to the hype. The Queso, Trailer Park, Republican and Tipsy Chick were stellar.

This location is absolutely perfect for this Torchy's. Go to any Torchy's location in the DFW and you will get nothing but goodness. So thank you for bringing the love to the Irving/Las Colinas area. I love this spot for the breakfast tacos! They are simple and delicious. With the poblano ranch. You need no other sauce!! Poblano ranch makes me oh so joyful. The bar area is fun and totally great to even come alone on a chill Saturday or just whenever. I am regretting not taking my east coast friends here when they were down here craving tacos. But next time I will know where to take my out of town guests! And just anyone in general. It is a great spot if you want to kick back with a beverage and good grub. They also do HH during the week until 7:00. I love it! I will be back. And soon! Try the chorizo and egg. As well as everything else on the menu. You won't regret it not one bit. read more

If you are looking for a meal that will make you feel terrible about yourself look no further. The trailer trash taco has everything that you want wrapped up on a tortilla shell. I have never felt so trashy. Our night originally started out with the intent on going to a BBQ place. Lines at all of the local BBQ places were insane so we decided on Torchys. The menu at first was a little overwhelming but Claudia stepped up and helped us through it explaining and making awesome suggestions. There is a great chance that I will again visit before I head back to Pittsburgh. I had my eye on some sweet t-shirts there. read more

From NJ, one of the best torchy's I've been to thus far in TX. When you enter, you can tell how clean and organized with signs to guide you which way to order. VERY SPACIOUS, which is one thing I appreciated at this torchy's, as opposed to other torchy's, where I'm elbowing people next to me while enjoying my fried avocado. (no, thank you.) Food: Queso and chips: PERFECT. Cannot say anything else about queso. Cheese, scoop of guac in the middle topped with spicy sauce and some more cheese. The independent: Good, but definitely needs some kind of a sauce in there. It was very dry and hard to swallow without a drink along a bite. I would recommend either using the avocado ranch they have or add a little bit of queso. Also, not something you can save for later, the beans get extra dry and the taco doesn't taste as flavorful anymore. Fried avocado: ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Whether you're a vegetarian or not, this is a must! Add queso, avocado ranch, AND their spicy sauce! Yup, go town with their sauces and you will not regret it! Everybody needs to experience a piece of heaven in real time and THIS IS IT. Drinks: can order drinks at the same place you order food or at the separate bar on the side. We ordered the lime margarita on the rocks, made perfectly because it wasn't too strong but not too much lime either. Tasted better with sugar tho, for a sweet & sour taste. Bartender was a true Aggie with a great personality who made our whole experience well worth it. read more

My group placed an online order for pickup via the DoorDash app last night. From the seamless online experience to the pickup, everything was a breeze. We ordered 9 tacos and a chips and queso. Online, we were quoted about 20-25 minutes for the pickup. When we arrived, we were early, so we waited. When I went to get the order inside, the pickup was on time as described on the app. All of the food was prepared correctly. We have some food allergies, so it's imperative that the food is made right, and everything was perfect! They gave us all the sauce we needed for the tacos! Overall, this was a perfect experience! We have ordered from here a couple other times as well, and it's always been correct! I'll for sure be back again. 100% trailer park trashy is the way to go! It's by far my favorite of all their tacos. read more

Great food, great location, great customer service, and Huey and the whole staff were friendly!

They're getting rid of the cactus pear drink... I don't think I can deal with that type of negativity. No but seriously, that was one of the best drinks I've ever had. You need more flavors like that! It's unique to your brand and goes amazing with your food. For the record, your food is great, but I'm devastated by your decision to replace the tasty drink with some other name brand nonsense. Love you. Mean it. But we're beefin now. read more

Had a mixed experience at Torchy's. I think my biggest grip with these tacos is the price. The price is quite steep for what you are getting as you can get similar quality for a lot less at other places. The first taco I had was the trailer park (trashy) and it was very filling, but fried chicken with queso just felt too heavy and kinda gross. Next I had the baja shrimp which I thought was really good! The cabbage, pickled onions, and shrimp work really well together! Last, I had the Mr. Orange and I was a bit torn on that one. The salmon itself was tasty, but the taco overall lacked substance and was dry and felt pretty weak considering that it costs over $5. A lot of my issues with these tacos would be forgivable if the tacos were not so expensive...but for the price they charge, I would expect a premium. read more

You really can't go wrong with Torchy's! Its a local favorite and a favorite for anyone that is visiting. The quest is fantastic. The elotes are amazing. I love that they are not doused in mayo like traditional elotes, but pack such a great flavor. Being vegetarian taco options are more limited than for others but my all-time favorite is by far the fried avocado, where I sub fried avocados with fresh avocados.... deliciousness! I taco is really filling, especially if you have queso or elotes. read more

I have been excited to try Torchy's food ever since I saw they were opening in the old Applebee's location. I had a craving for some queso and the reviews said their's is the best, so I gave in to my hankering a few days ago. An employee greeted me warmly when I approached the counter. I let her know that I had never eaten at a Torchy's and we both joked about how shocked we were- lol! She explained the menu and also stated that they are known for their queso. I, of course, ordered the queso, the Independent (fried portabella mushroom) and the Baja Shrimp tacos. She gave me a lighted buzzer to let me know when the order was ready. Had a seat and waited. And waited. And waited. I was really surprised how long it was taking. For some reason, I thought they had a salsa station so I asked an employee. The older woman did not speak a lick of English and had to ask a customer nearby what I was saying. Sorry, but if you work in an American chain restaurant, the employee needs to speak English. Just my opinion, but how can you give good service if you can't understand the customers? The buzzer did not buzz, but an employee did arrive at my table where I was waited and rattled off the tacos that I ordered. I looked at him and he realized the queso and chips were not in the order. He left and I waited. He returned with the rest of the order and I asked if the sauce was on the shrimp taco or is it supposed to be in a cup since only one cup was in the bag. He returned with the same sauce as the other but I was running late and didn't want to wait AGAIN for them to get the order correct. Got home and was, honestly, a little shocked how small the queso dip was--it seriously was the size of a cup from any other restaurant. $6 for a cup. I will say, though, that it was as delicious as people have raved! Creamy queso with cilantro, guacamole and a nice spicy kick. The chips were crispy with just the right amount of salt. The portabella taco was somewhat of a let down because the only thing I tasted was the beans. Mounds of mounds of beans. And a slice of avocado that kept falling out of the taco. Bummer. The Baja shrimp, on the other hand, was incredible. Crispy fried shrimp, nice and crunchy, with the heat from the chipotle sauce (not sure if this was supposed to go with it or there was a sauce specific to the taco since I received two of the same.) I would most definitely order this again! All in all, a good first visit. If it hadn't been for the nice female employee at the counter, I would have rated it lower just due to the multiple errors and the Spanish-speaking only employee who couldn't help me. Looking forward to trying some of the other tacos! read more

I was completely blown away by the experience I had at the Grand Opening event. I have been to Torchy's all over Texas and this was honestly one of my favorites. Sassy vibes all around with the "Tacoholics Anonymous" and "You Look Damn Good" signs! Plenty of indoor and patio seating and a modern feel. I ordered the Brushfire (if you love spicy you'll love this one) and the Alabamashake. The Street Corn is delicious and is a must. Guac and queso are also phenomenal. If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to try the Lil Nookies, which are little fried balls of cookie dough. Be sure to complement your meal with a ice cool margarita or cocktail like I did. As a long-time Torchy's fan, I've learned a few things, like the fact that there is a Secret Menu. Ask for it, your taste buds won't be disappointed. And never ever forget your sauces. My personal favorites being the avocado and chipotle sauces. You're welcome. read more

Breakfast tacos. Chips and salsa. Queso. I love all three of those there, especially because the breakfast tacos are served all day here and they're essentially cheesy omelettes in a flour tortilla. Top them off with some of the green tomatillo salsa and it's absolutely delicious. The vibe is pretty cool too, and there is a bar with TVs and a good amount of seating. You can order online and pick up at the pickup window in the back. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast tacos are super reasonably priced, and it's a great fast-casual-sitdown-chill spot. read more

We ordered takeout from Torchy's after having a huge craving for the Democrat barbacoa taco during shelter-in-place. Sadly, they had a limited menu at the time and weren't serving it, so I tried the Republican without cheese and added grilled onions and a crossroads without cheese. I'm allergic to dairy and couldn't find the ingredients for their sauces online, so I called and they let me know the dairy-free sauces are their tomatillo, roja, and diablo sauce. I liked my tacos and would definitely get them again, BUT I am really craving the shredded barbacoa. The online ordering process was very easy and great for customizations. They gave me an exact time to pick it up instead of a vague 10-20 minute waiting period. When I unwrapped our tacos at home, each taco seemed a little crushed and crumpled which was a little annoying because it mushed the tacos a bit. We also got a side of the rice which was definitely flavorful but tasted super good with a dash of the diablo sauce. read more

Torchys Tacos is in no way "authentic" Mexican food l. Their only claim is that they have 'DAMN GOOD TACOS". Their tacos are delicious. Huge and stuffed with all kinds of goodies. Their queso is hands down the best queso I have ever had. I think it's probably best in the entire world? Too dramatic? The guacamole is delicious too. Super creamy and addicting. I would personally recommend the Dirty Sanchez. They have a full bar with specials running daily. Parking is ample. If you don't like tacos, they also have a salad option and burritos to choose from. Like Torchy's claim, they have damn good tacos. You will not leave disappointed and you will want to return trying more. read more

Would give Torchy's a five but it be nice to see every taco under 4$. I understand they are so great, but I want to have more than 3 when I go. Spending $20 before buying a beer on my tacos alone sucks. I love to be generous to my bartenders too, so when I leave Torchy's with a $30 tab with no beer for lunch it's a tragedy. Haha I'm kidding slightly, but it's the spot of my favorite bloody marry in the world so far. SPICY SPICY If I was giving a review on the bar it be a 5. Also, not all of your locations have bars and I typically go there for the bloody Mary's then get tacos after. So have been let down by Marry's absence a few times. Thanks for reading! (: read more

Queso here is AH MAZING! I normally am not a big fan of queso or tortilla chips, but that's because I hadn't tried Torchy's! We ordered delivery thru their site last night...we paid...got a delivery time...but it never arrived!? We called a half hour after the delivery time given & they informed us that they don't deliver & it should've routed us to Doordash but it didn't! So just a heads up so this doesn't happen to you! We had to go pick it up. The food was pretty good. It tends to be on the spicy side so we ordered the queso without the Diablo sauce and it was excellent! I got the Wrangler & the democrat. The wrangler is a breakfast taco & it was very good...the brisket was perfect! The democrat has barbacoa and 95% of it was so fatty, gelatinous & chewy I couldn't eat any if the meat! Very gross & the rest of the fillings were pretty bland too. Definitely needs some work but the queso & wrangler were delicious! read more
