Very glad I stepped in here after a flight cancellation at DFW. Plenty of TVs at the bar area, and everything seemed to be pretty clean. Oh yeah - the food! The queso is legit and I absolutely recommend. They said the Trailer Park is their most popular taco, and I can see why. Getting it "trashy" comes with the aforementioned queso. Ok so tacos were good. Better be at nearly 5$ each. But service was quite slow. We ordered queso and chips. Two avocado tacos, shrimp taco and a sausage taco as well as street corn. We specifically asked NO added cilantro unless it's in the salsa or pico. We told the guy we hate cilantro. We're one of those 20% of people who taste soap when eating cilantro. Seriously, it's a thing. Google it lol. Out comes our food minus the queso and corn. We asked about them and he said he would be right out. We had cilantro on our food but minimal so meh. Out comes the corn COVERED in cilantro. Like mixed in. Plus it was not street corn. Street corn typically has mayo, maybe sour cream. Mexican cheese. Lemon pepper and hot sauce etc. this had a TON of red sauce and wasn't creamy and rich and delicious. It was like a condiment. Hubby ate it with chips basically. No creaminess to it. Very dry. Very weird. Did not like it at all. Ok live and learn don't order it next time. Our queso didn't come. Now this was something we really wanted. Probably more than tacos. It's Delicious. However the guy says we didn't order it or pay for it. Our bill was 35$ just assumed it was rang up as that's steep for corn and 4 tacos, right? So fine. We order it. No cilantro. Now this was seriously covered in cilantro and came to us in a to go container??? Why? We're clearly eating at a table. How weird. I had to scoop out a good portion because this place loves cilantro and like I said. It's soap, otherwise the queso is the best thing for the price on the menu. I mean, we will be back because the queso is that good but next time I will eat one shrimp taco and queso. It's pretty pricey for lunch. If everything came out as ordered I'd probably have given this 3.5. You lost .75 with the corn as it's just wrong and .75 on value for product. I always make it a point to visit Torchy's when I'm Texas and once again, it did not disappoint! This location was clean with friendly and fast service. I had the Baja Shrimp and the Ranch Hand tacos. Both were amazing with huge portions. My table also split the chips and guacamole which were GREAT. The chips are served warm and salty we all enjoyed the visit. There are certainly cheaper tacos out there but these are high quality, well made and FILLING! read more

Never come to provide any sauces or refill chips even after requesting it a few times. Today I was told they have a limit of 3 sauces per table. Told the worker there's 8 of us and 18 tacos and you want to limit to 3? He said he'd have to ask his manager and went in the back. Came back out with a basket of sauce but more than half of it was the wrong damn sauce. He then told me if I wanted more I had to pay for it. This Torchy's Tacos location falls right into line with the other locations I have visited, and by that I mean they are pretty damn good! I am sure if you are a Torchy's fan, you caught that reference to their slogan, "Damn Good Tacos". Torchy's Tacos was founded by Chef Mike Rypka. He started the business in a Food Trailer in Austin. It was humble beginnings for what would hrow into the empire of several locations that exist today. My favorite "Damn Good Taco" is the Chicken Fajita Taco, which has grilled chicken breast, peppers, pico de gallo, and cheese. It is really delicious! Along with my Taco, I always get some chips and queso. Their chips are homemade, ALWAYS fresh, and the queao is a green chili queso topped with cotija cheese, cilantro, and their famous diablo sauce. Another thing to keep your eye out for it Torchy's is there Taco of the month. It is a chef's creation and changes every month.
