I have passed this place several times in the last couple of months and wondered to myself what they are all about. I was hungry this morning and had a little time before I needed to be at work, so I gave them a try. Their menu offered a basic selection of Egg & Cheese and then Bacon, Chorizo, or Potatoes in wither a Taxo or a Burrito. I decided to go with Egg, Cheese, and Potato Tacos, and was I ever glad I did! I had ordered to go and when I got to my office and opened the package my first thought was it looked pretty normal, just a regular taco. My first bite quickly changed my mind and I thought to myself, this is pretty good. When I finished my Tacos... without even thinking or knowing that someone was close by, I said out loud, " Now THOSE were some damn good Tacos". All of a sudden someone said, "Did you enjoy those Kurt?"...lol A humorous moment, but a poignant point made, these tacos had me declaring their worthiness out loud after eating them! read more

Front counter was attentive and willing to help. Ordering was easy, I got the 3 enchiladas with the spicy al pastor and it came with grilled onions and a jalepeno on the side with beans, rice, chips & salsa, and a nice pico de gallo salad. It came with a lot of food and I even saved some for later. I enjoyed the easiness of getting some nice hot enchiladas loaded with meat with hot melted cheese and the rice and beans had good flavor! read more

Pros: Staff is extremely friendly. Cashier was very nice and helpful. Place is kept pretty clean and is open for dine in (woohoo!) Cons: So I got the taco plate which is $7.95 plus tax and consists of 3 tacos, rice and beans. Overall flavor was...meh. They weren't horrible, but they aren't great. The tortillas seemed like they are microwaved and the meat didn't have a whole lot of flavor. If 2.5 stars was an option, that's what I'd rate it. read more

Great, busy taco place. They have replaced BB Bop Rice bowls - and I'm pretty sure they're related, but its just a guess. This is similar to Taco Ocho in richardson if that means anything to you. Tacos are around $2, they have burritos, quesadillas and tortas around $6 and a nice combo with 3 tacos, rice, beans, chips, etc for $8. All in all, quality is great, the charro beans are very flavorful and mine contained more bacon than beans, although I think that was just a lucky surprise. Tried the pastor, barbaracoa and carnitas tacos - all were very flavorful and properly made with lots of meat and thick corn tortillas. A friend had the lengua and said it tastes like lengua, so take that for what you will. They have a very simple menu, I would have liked a salad option. They do serve breakfast and offer bulk breakfast tacos. This is not a restaurant for people afraid of grease. I'll post up a couple of pictures shortly. read more

Street tacos, best I've tasted so far. Three tacos, charro beans, rice, tortilla chips, grilled onion, lettuce, tomatoes, onion and cilantros. A few wedges of juicy limes. All tacos fully, fully and plentifully stuffed with meats! Lengua - Juicy, yes! Fatty, yes! I need more, definitely yes!! Tongue was not overly or under seasoned. It was also super tender, very buttery texture. Barbacoa - Juicy and fatty, yes! A little bit too salty, but with enough lime juice, deeeeeelicious! El pastor - Juicy and fatty, yyeesssum! Super impressed for fast food but not surprising from the guys who've given us b.b.bop and LA Burger. The place looks pretty much the same as when b.b.bop was there, save for the wall art (a cool mural has been added with a nod to its predecessor) and an obligatory string of x-mas lights. As for the food: I told my husband that it "tastes the way Mexican food is supposed to taste", and that was before telling the owner, Mauricio, that I grew up in El Paso, to which he said, "I'm from El Paso, too!" So there ya have it. It's authentic in style and taste. I had the enchilada platter for $8.49. It came with 3 enchiladas, traditional Mexican rice, refried beans, a side salad of lettuce topped with fresh (and delicious) guacamole, some grilled onions and a grilled jalepeno. Nice touch. Everything was really good but next time I'll get the charro beans instead. My husband had those with his barbacoa quesadillas, which were insanely delicious. Street tacos without the mess. The line is manageable, the service is quick, and the food is delicious. I like the very open seating and clean tables. (CLEAN BATHROOM +1 star). The open seating is spacious - no poking elbows with your fellow patrons. The menu is simple - not overly complex - just good offerings. My favorite was the barbacoa - has really tasty smokiness and texture; filling, layers of flavor with just the right amount of salt. It has the gnash that makes you smile. The al pastor is the other favorite - tender, dense, touch of spices - just right and authentic. The chicken tacos were interesting. Breast??? It works! Typically you think dark thigh meat - but the breast was spot on - again moist and tender, seasoned just right, and even one taco may be enough! It really is the healthier for you - one would think 'eh, it's going to be dry' but it was really tasty. Aside from the tacos, the original sin are the nachos. Wow. I mean, wow. No Velveeta sauce here. It is truly a light creamy monterey jack and cheddar mix. Dare I say Mexican 4 cheese??? Regardless, this is a hefty size, so bring out the Thanksgiving dinner sweats. And guess what? Use the chicken as a topping - chicken breast! A healthy alternative. Another a few mentioned - fresh guac. Not the pre-made Costco frozen stuff. A great compliment to any meal. I was also tipped off with regards to the special salsa - now here's a special treat. Cannot understand why people give this dump good reviews. They probably have low standards. First of all, it's dirty. Take a look at the floors and bathroom. The bathroom smells of mold, they have a mold problem behind the cheap plastic walls covering it up. The place smells like a cheap cafeteria too. Staff are bored and border line rude. I love this place!. Today I had the Ensalada de Pollo. It comes with a slightly sweet cilantro lime dressing. It is a vinegarette style. That enhances all of the flavors.it is served with a small side of guacamole and chips. There are also lime wedges as a garnish. Normally I get the taco plate which has 6 different meat choices. Not a lot of tasty places open at the start of my long work day so I was thrilled to see something of such quality on my daily commute. Not being a huge breakfast person to begin with, I decided to go with the burrito as a quick, easy to go meal that I can chomp down without it being too messy. I really wasn't expecting much but it was really delicious. It was the perfect size; just big enough to tie you over until lunch but not too big to where you start to question why you got it in the first place along with other bad life decisions. Eggs were cooked nicely, blending perfectly with the chorizo and cheese. What I really liked was the tortilla, which was so much better than your typical fast food kind. It was nice and soft and I didn't feel like my burrito wasn't 95% dry tortilla skin. The red sauce was good but the green sauce was just perfect. Can't wait to come back here for lunch. I read the reviews and was really excited about this place but I wasn't expecting an additional run to the bathroom as I had to quickly move from my cubicle to the restroom and then try not to make too much noise while I moved everything along so they wouldn't call the ambulance. I guess the food was tasty as I was eating it and I'm sure they made it look good on my plate but as I'm writing this review I'm starting to feel beads of sweat form on my forehead as I recall my after the restaurant experience. The lunch crowd increased notably between my first and second visit, and I suspect that trend will continue. The three taco plate is a perfect meal - mix-and-match 3 of the tacos, side of beans (charro or refried), rice, and taco toppings (pico, lime, diced onions, grilled onions & jalapeno). I'm not as much of a fan of the carnitas or the al pastor as I am of the barbacoa. It's juicy, flavorful, and has a wonderful smooth texture without being offensively greasy or fatty. While the queso isn't worthy of a letter home, it'll hit the spot and is of a perfect serving size to be an appropriate sharing side. I'll certainly order it again. The stark, functional interior is quite cool and is the furthest thing from fussy, but be prepared to turn up your Miracle Ear if you're dining in during the lunch rush - it gets a tad noisy. read more

Tacoria has been one of my favorites for a while now. Great menu options. Great flavors. I've had the burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and the nachos. All have wonderfully flavored, quality meats. Steak, chicken, pork, it's all so good. The portions are very generous. Their sauces are great. The guac and queso are phenomenal. My favorite item is the charro beans. Apparently these guys don't know how to execute their morning procedures. They opened closer to 7 AM rather than the posted 6:30 AM business hours. My tacos were ready at the window but the cashier was somewhere in be back getting her coffee ready. So my food sat there for awhile getting cold and soggy. Our plane just landed from California and we were HUNGRY! We stumbled upon this 5 month old business and were pleasantly surprised with...well, EVERYTHING! The carnitas are ridiculously good. I really wanted some breakfast tacos. I'd dropped my wife at DFW so she could catch the red-eye to a conference in Lost Wages, which meant I was about 2 hours late for breakfast. Cosa Rico was slammed and I left with remorse and asked Yelp what was close and good. Tacoria Tacos. The good - the place is clean, well lit, and attractive. The staff are very pleasant. They make their own salsas, and they are very, very good. The OK - the breakfast tacos were, well, not very exciting. I expect to be able to tell which is the chorizo taco by taste. Ham too. I could tell which was the potato taco. I'll try 'em at lunch some day and try other tacos, but for breakfast tacos, next time I'll wait at Cosa Rico or even Taco Naan.. The flaming awful - WHAT IS that sludge in the coffee dispensers? The coffee was supposed to be unflavored, but the echoes of endless fills of crappy flavored coffee were pretty obvious. The coffee was very acidic and harsh. I love me some good coffee - I didn't finish this. TOTAL FAIL! Next time, water, OJ or a coke. read more

I gave it two stars because the Taco fillings were generous plus tasty. Everything else, I was not thrilled about. We specified on one of the orders to exclude any avocado/guacamole. I happen to have one of the dumbest food allergies (avocado) so I cannot eat it. Anyways, they dumped it on both chicken enchilada orders and thought that it was okay to scrape the guacamole out of the container. Any food allergy is bad; just imagine scraping peanut butter off a slice of bread and handing it to someone who is allergic to peanuts. Yes, food allergies are that bad. They fixed the order. The refried beans were extra soupy and someone forgot to add the salt. We ordered queso dip and chips. The queso too, was very watery and had globs of cilantro. It wasn't blended well. If I'm pulling clumps of cilantro out of the dip, something's not right. The saving graces are that this place is cheap and that the taco fillings are crazy generous. The chicken and pork tacos were good. I'd probably only recommend those. The enchiladas were dry and flavorless this time around. read more

I had the Taco plate which was pretty good. I had the beef fajita, chicken and Carnitas Tacos. I would recommend the Carnitas and Beef Fajita over the chicken. Charro beans were very good but I was not a fan of the rice. Price was ok as for what you get but for the same price point I am not sure I would select them over a Chipotle. They also might consider putting the soft drink syrup, paper towel boxes, ladders and other supplies in another location instead of the dining area and hallway to the restroom. read more

Tacos are good and they have alot of interesting menu options...however that's not the reason why I'm giving them a 2 star. The company I work for used to get food from there all the time but we stopped because the wait staff are jerks, the lady up there always acted like we were inconveniencing her and her tone she would use with us was terrible..very bad attitude. To my company and myself, customer service goes a long way. My first reaction to this place was bad customer service when the lady at the register insisted they had no cilantro that was already mixed with raw onions as I starred in the kitchen looking right at it. Not sure why she didn't want to give me any. Luckily the food made up for it. We had the 3 taco combo with lengua, barbacoa, el pastor and beef fajita, beans, rice ans chips. The lengua was some of the best I've tasted. It was tender and good flavor. The barbacoa was good without being to greasy. The beans were delicious and seasoned well. You get grilled onions, and jalapeno. On the down side the pastor and beef fajita were bothe a lil underwhelming. Both were not seasoned well and were dry and forgettable Someone warned me against the el pastor but since its one ofy favorites I had to learn the hard way.
