I first spoke with Paul over the phone and asked him if he worked on average, like stock level kind of cars. My Dad had passed away just five days prior and left his 2006 Toyota Corolla in the retirement home parking lot. Paul listened to me as I shared about my Dad, what he meant to me and how holding on to his car and driving kept him feeling self efficient. Dad's car had probably been neglected of a decent cleaning for 7-8 years. There were dents around the car and the interior had collected thick dust. It ran great, but Dad should have stopped driving at least 5 years ago. Paul treated this car with care. Not just because he is a pro at what he does, but he knew how much it meant to me that it was brought back to a level of cleanliness and shine that gave me joy when I saw it again. I told him that it was hard to unravel the rosary hanging from the rearview mirror, and he did NOT remove it. It was perfect. I may one day bring a much nicer car to Paul to detail, but how he treated me during a time when I just lost my father, is what really impressed me. Got a new 2022 Ford Escape Titanium in January and noticed that the paint from the factory seemed to get rain spots pretty quickly. Decided to get the ISM 2.0 Coat + Windows and Wheels at Topside to see if that'd make the paint a bit more spot resistant. Boy did it make a difference! Paul did a excellent job and it's was amazing how well the coating keeps off the rain, dirt and pollen. The whole process took about 3 days since the coating needs to sit under heat lamps once applied, but if you have a newer car and want to get it better protected and looking like it should, definitely try Topside. read more

Our 2012 Nissan Frontier has seen a lot of rough country, both urban and wilderness. In 67,000 miles, we'd never had more than your cursory interior vacuum and wipe-down and exterior wash and spray wax. After some serious roughroading in the Canadian Okanogan, it was time to treat our old beast to a detail. Since I didn't have a go-to detail shop, I hunted around on Yelp for some local reviews, and landed on someone nearby with a good rating. The owner Paul was amazing. He was professional, thoughtful, and detail-oriented, asking me if there were any particular spots that needed attention. He and his coworker Jordan spent the whole day with our truck, and when I came back after work to pick it up, it was spotless inside and out and shone like new (no small feat for a truck with more tree and brush scratches than miles). A little backstory: I drive a 2008 Suzuki SX4 that we've had about 5 years. It's never been detailed, rarely even ever gets washed. When my boyfriend and I moved to Seattle about 2 months ago it already had some weird musty smell inside the car and the summer heat was not helping. But last weekend on the way to a camping trip, my dog vomited all over the back seat. Of course we were able to clean it up but the smell was not going away. Got the car in to be detailed the following week and it's safe to say Paul had a lot of work to do! However, I got the car back 4 and a half hours later and it looks amazing! Paul and his crew went above board, to give my aging car all it could get and with a smile. I don't drive a Tesla or BMW. My car was getting quite laughable, dirty and missing a hub cap. Paul and and his crew were like... unexpectedly heroic they located a set of 4 new hubcaps, so instead of replacing the one, they went and found a new set - long story short my car has super cool matching hubs and all for like $50 or less. But the effort they went to shopping around to find hubcaps for a car like mine (2006 Scion Xb, originial owner), showed their stripes to me, I was bowled over by the respect and good treatment. There was no "you should have" and so on, no, in fact Paul said they like "makeovers" like mine was, as a challenge. I have taken both a before and an after pic, I will try to upload them. But the main message? You need to use these guys especially if you live or work in central Seattle. Paul is the best! read more

Paul did an AMAZING job detailing our smelly minivan. We've had this van since our 4th child was born 10 years ago. Between hauling compost and gardening supplies, puppy accidents, and many road trips eating, drinking (& spilling things like milk!) with the family, this van has seen it all. I sheepishly handed over the keys and Paul didn't even blink an eye at the sorry state of mess that was our van. I dropped it off in the evening at the garage he works at in residential north Capitol Hill and was able to pick it up the next day. He also can come to you. Paul must have been working on it all night because I didn't even the van I picked up! He shampooed the rugs so well that they are a light shade of gray which now matches the seat color. They were previously almost black because of so much grime from muddy soccer shoes. The best part is that it smells so CLEAN and he was even able to touch up the paint scratches so well that my kids feel like we have a brand new car.
