We have 2 cars and rarely drive one of them, especially since Covid came to town and my husband started permanently working from home. Our street parking is right under two beautiful flowering plum trees, which is great most of the time, just not so much in pollen season. Add to that the lack of convenient car washes in west Seattle and my car was looking a mess. Just about covered in pollen/moss - I dont even know. Gross. I looked on some local social media pages and Big's was recommended by a few people and I was really drawn to the mobile aspect of their service. Their interior/exterior package seemed a reasonable and comparable price to other detailing services in the area so I booked on their website and was able to get an appointment a few days later. There are some add on extras you can choose so I also opted to pay an additional $9 for extra moss removal because I think that's an understatement the way my car looked. The person scheduled to perform the detail sent me a text the morning of that he misjudged traffic and would be about an hour past the scheduled time. I appreciated the heads up, and since I didn't need the car, it wasn't an issue. He was nice and friendly, and seemed efficient at doing the job. He arrived at 10am and was done around 4pm. I will say that there was a moment of confusion when I did, essentially, the final walk through inspection when he was finishing up and I asked if he did the wax as the car was clearly clean but not that super wax shine and he hadn't and asked if I wanted the ceramic coating (because wax was harder to do and it didn't seem like he could or wanted to do wax). I did say yes please I would and I feel like if I didn't ask about it that he wouldn't have done it, even though it's listed in the services of the package. Everything else looks great and I'm happy with the service. They send out a confirmation text when the appointment is booked saying you can reply to the message with questions and I did reply asking if I needed to provide a hose and extension cord in addition to the outlets and spigot and never received a reply. So instead of having it ready for the detailer I had to go find it when he arrived. Obviously minor, but I would have had it out ahead of time if I knew he'd need it. We will definitely use them for our other car soon! read more

I recently bought a nice 2004 Ford Escape that I am storing outside at my son's home in WA. I live in Alaska and I wanted a good exterior cleaning to help protect it from the rain that is typical in the winter. I read the reviews of Big's online and based on those reviews I decided to spend the extra money and use them for the detailing. I scheduled the service online using their website and that went very well...so far so good. I traveled back to Alaska before the appointment, so I had my family in WA make sure the Escape was unlocked and ready for the 1:30pm-6:30pm service. I got a notification via text that the technician was on the way, on time and that was great. Fast forward to later in the day. My daughter-in-law came home well before 6:30 and no one was there, but it was obvious someone was there and cleaned the car. Later that evening my son checked out the vehicle and found a number of areas that weren't done. The roof wasn't done, none of the door jambs were touched, inside glass wasn't clean and there was an area on the rear hatch that wasn't touched. My son took some good pictures and forwarded them to me. I contacted Mark R. at Big's and let him know about the issues that were found and that I wasn't too happy with the result, especially for the amount of money that was charged. I forwarded the pictures to him and after reviewing them he agreed the job wasn't up to their standards. He also said it was unusual as the technician assigned to the job was one of their better employees. He was very apologetic and scheduled a follow-up appointment to take care of what was missed. The follow-up appointment had to be rescheduled by Big's due to factors out of their control, but it did finally get done and the areas that were missed the first time were taken care of. What was unusual about the follow-up appointment is that it was scheduled for the entire day to be done sometime during the day. That was ok since the vehicle was unlocked, but I never got notification of the technician arriving or even that the work was done. I didn't get one word or follow-up call from anyone at the company asking how it went or if I was satisfied with the work. In summary, the promised service was eventually done, but not without a lot of hassle on my part trying to QC this long-distance and some inconvenience on my family's part. I don't know what the deal is, but based on my experience I would certainly hesitate recommending them to anyone . read more

Jerry came out to work on my car this weekend and man, it looks BETTER THAN BRAND NEW! This isn't my first time using Big's... I am on their text outreach and low and behold I got a text on Friday offering deals for the weekend. It had been a little over a year since my last time having them out so thought, hey, a sign is a sign. I decided also to see if they could accommodate both my car AND my husbands as a fun surprise (interior only) and they were able to get us both in for Saturday. Jerry did a WONDERFUL job! DO NOT hire these people!! You are better off taking your car to the dealership it is from and paying the same amount for them to send it wherever they get it done. The convenience of coming here does not matter when you're paying $500 after tax and tip and I had to continuously point out things and ask such as can you please wipe the inside of my windows? They still have smudges from my dogs nose... Can you please take this piece of tape off of my door? Can you please vacuum the crumbs out of my center console??? I have no idea what he did all day but I went out to my car, open the center consul wiped a ton of crap out showed him and said this is not a $400 detail and he said "I agree". So, I gave him a little more time to try to work on the car then decide to go in and try to call and find out a solution but no one has returned my call I just received a generic text. I checked my email and the detail was supposed to be from 9 AM to 5 PM for eight hours he was supposed to detail my truck this was not a window this was how long it said it would take. So I told him at 3 PM (he said he was done at 2:30) That I have to start getting ready for an event and cannot keep checking but hopefully he would stay and make it right. He got very upset, threw his tools down, and told me to "go tell his boss and write my review". Update- manager contacted me. Apologized. Offered partial refund (did not receive) and to send a second detailer out. A second detailer was sent out to try and fix this but the bottom line is, I will never use this company again and will adamantly advocate AGAINST them. Second guy was nice and all but why can't anyone seem to do their job? They don't have the proper tools and detergents? (My SUV is a 2020. That's as old and any dirt or dust can be so it's not even a big job to begin with) I'm not sure what the deal is but coming from a dealership where we sent cars out I know of many shops that do an amazing job. It's hard to understand why it can't be done mobile but trust me just drop your car off at the dealership it's probably $20 less and oh well you're without your car for a day but it will be sparkling clean! read more

100% worth it. After a couple years of randomly cleaning the interiors & exterior of my truck, it feels good to have a professional give it that new look/smell again. Easy to forget how clean your truck can look, especially being on construction sites daily and getting used to things being a bit "in progress". Scheduling was easy: filled out an online form, selected some options, and pre-paid. I missclicked upon checkout and, thinking I messed up the payment, I gave their phone number a call. Immediately spoke with someone who confirmed I was all good. Very professional. The guy who showed up, Tate, was timely and got right to work. Got finished up a little early and called me to check things out. No complaints here! 12/10! Nathan absolutely crushed it. Super laid back, yet very professional and a joy to work with. He spent the full day detailing and cleaning my dads truck and it looks better than it did the day it was pulled off the lot. The formula they use to clean the interior and exterior of the truck made it shine like I've never seen before. I got home to review the vehicle and was shocked by how thorough of a job he did. He even successfully removed road paint that had dried to the exterior paint. This was the perfect birthday gift for my dad and he will continue to use Big's for all of his vehicles moving forward. AMENDMENT TO MY INITIAL REVIEW: after my Yelp review was negative, the GM Paul reached out to me and extended a hand to help correct what the initial detailer missed / did not do. We agreed on a date and time for him to come help fix my SUV and he actually completely detailed my SUV. He showed me the car after completion and said that "this is the standard" that the company works towards and it was dreamy. My car looked and felt like it had been completely detailed, every nook had been cleaned. Paul also took the time to write a note to me that he left in my car expressing his appreciation for giving them a second chance. Update 2 (2/3/21): the owner sent someone to address my concerns and they cleaned the missed areas and applied a solution to make the dash look shinny and new again. Thank you! Update: I still haven't heard back from this business despite the owner leaving a note here that he is going to make this right.. so disappointed.. I found this service to be overpriced for what I got in return. About $400 + tips. My car is almost clean, as they missed the very back row of our SUV but it isn't as great as some of the other detailing services I have used. Again, the car is clean but not detailed. The small detail lines around the windows and door were still dirty, and inside the letters of the model were full of dust and dirt. I certainly don't think this job was worth the $500 they charged. Updating my review, since I got a call from the owner doing his best to right the situation, he said he was going to make changes to the website registration regarding required power/water and try to improve their phone handling (I'm a bit skeptical since apparently all of their phone handling goes through a single person, which seems like a risky way to run a business and I think they should try to improve that system a bit, I encourage anyone else that has issues making an appointment to leave a review just so if It is a problem they can actually recognize it and get dealt with properly) My detailer was Carson and he did a really great job, my car has never looked cleaner and it was well worth the cost to get it detailed. I ended up bringing the car to a friends place with a driveway so they could do the detailing there (because my apartment parking spot doesn't have power and water). Carson was very professional/nice and he worked quickly and got everything done pretty fast. Sadly it sounded like Carson may be leaving to go back to school soon but I can attest he did a really great job. I'm raising my review from 1/5 to 4/5 after taking into consideration the effort they made to right the situation and for the detailing job that they performed-- AS WELL AS the promise that they'll get better at handling their business calls and managing their customers. Overall I would use the service again and I would recommend it, with the obvious caveat that I would like a way to get in contact with the business over the phone / email / text within at least 1 business day. I wanted to get my car detailed by them so I called 2 times trying to set something up, they never answered but I got an automated text back with a ticket number telling me they'd get back in contact with me (never did). So I decided whatever I'll just schedule an appointment through their online portal, so the online scheduling asks if you have water or a power connection by your car parking spot/accessible nearby-- and I don't, I live in an apartment building and don't have access to those things. I checked the boxes that said I did not have those things, and added in a comment / additional notes section that I did not have access to those things and asked if it would be a problem-- ASSUMING that they would contact me if it WAS a problem. I additionally tried to contact them an additional time after making the appointment but still could not get through to anyone. Finally the day of my appointment arrives and I get a call at 8:05am confirming my appointment and going through some checklists, including asking me if I have power and water hookups. Which I do not. And they said that I need those things (even though during the online scheduling it did not say I needed them, it just asked if I had them). So the detailing had to be canceled and the guy on the phone was apologetic and told me someone should've contacted me and confirmed the details of the appointment. Fast forward to today (a couple weeks out) and I tried to contact them again to get my car detailed at a friends house and it's the exact same thing. Cannot get in contact with a person, another automated text. I have no clue how their detailing service is because of how poorly run the business side of things is being handled, but for how much of my time they've wasted they get 1 star. read more

If I could put down 0 stars I would. I had a very unpleasant experience with Big's Mobile Detail. I had my original appointment scheduled and received a call asking to reschedule do to a software scheduling issue. Sure, no problem. Rescheduled appointment #2 for a couple days out. No show on day of rescheduled appointment. Didn't hear a word until after I had emailed and left a voice mail. Again, scheduling error...ok, I just blocked 6 hours of my day. Rescheduled for appointment #3 for a couple days out. Once again, no show. I've emailed, left voice mail and texted. No answer. They still have my $50 deposit. Save your time and money and use a different company. read more

I would not hire this company, the price of the detailing does not equate to the job that I received. The day of the appointment the detailer showed up late with no company attire or company vehicle. The service on the website says that it would take 3-7 hours and yet the detailer was done in a little over two hours. I went to check my car at the end and it was not completed. There were still places that did not get wiped down or vacuumed and he proceeded to tell me that he was unable to get the stains out of the seats. Once I asked him to finish the trunk he only wiped it down but didn't vacuum it or anything else. The service was NOT worth the price of $417, I received better detailing from other businesses for way less than that before I moved here. The job should've been no more than $75 for what I received. I feel as if I were robbed by this experience. The front windshield was not cleaned and had spots and streaks all over it. Under the seat still had debris and leaves. The seats themselves were not cleaned with any effort. The stains on the seat are from milk and juice from my child yet somehow he was unable to get out (one was from food so I understand if that one didn't come out). I don't believe that he truthfully tried. The doors and the exterior were not wiped down and had dirt on each door. Overall I'm not satisfied with the service for the price I paid. You would be better off detailing the car yourself versus hiring this company. read more

I don't like posting negative reviews but in this case Big's hasn't responded to repeated follow ups so it's my only remaining option in addition to disputing the credit card charge. The detailer arrived as scheduled but it was raining so I asked about rescheduling. He wanted to proceed and offered to come back if there were any issues. After the car dried a couple days later, I noted multiple issues- interior windows dirtier than prior to the detail, water spots on the interior, bugs still on the front, and none of the minor scratches removed. I reached the detailer who offered to come out that weekend but didn't arrive and didn't respond when I followed up. The main office also didn't respond to a voicemail and email I left. 5/24 update (revised from 1 to 3 stars): The owner Isaiah reached out to me after the review and refunded me the full cost. He also offered to come back for another detail but I decided not to take him up on that due to the initial quality and the communication issues that persisted throughout the entire process. read more

I had a car in pretty bad shape, with interior mold in most the carpet and seatbelts from sitting for a few months with a crack in the windshield letting in moisture. Most detailers said they wouldn't work on it without nearly doubling the price. Our service tech was prompt and awesome, dug right into and worked extra hard to get it all. They were able to come out first thing the next morning. They also tackled a nasty back seat of piles of kid-crumbs. I loved working with Big's! From Paul (owner/boss) to Nathan M (the technician who came out) it was a positive, professional experience from beginning to end. Nathan was even a little bit early to my house - wow! And his attention to detail was incredible. My detailing had to be delayed by one week due to an unforeseen issue (it was not something detailers deal with). Paul and Nathan kept in touch and as soon as I got that issue worked out, they rescheduled with me and my car has NEVER been cleaner or better looking, inside and out! I would recommend Big's to anyone looking for anything from basic cleaning to the most deluxe going-over. They are worth every penny! read more

I scheduled a detail online a few days ago to come to me while I was at work. I received an emailed confirmation but it didn't have any instructions (i.e. someone will call you when they are on their way). I called about :45 minutes before the appointment to clarify if they needed me to park somewhere specific. The guy on the phone said that there needed to be water and power nearby. This is where the frustration comes in... NOWHERE online on their website, confirmation email, booking page, etc. says anything about them needing water and power. For all I know, they have a truck with a tank that comes to do the detailing like Stanley Steemer. The guy on the phone was snarky, when I said that I looked online before I booked and didn't see anything. He said "well, its on our website". I went back and looked before I wrote this review. It is not on their website. I scoured the site. He cancelled the appointment, which is good- but, now I am unable to have the car detailed for a trip we have this weekend and I have to look elsewhere. Super frustrating. **updated review** Isaiah contacted me today via email. He was extremely professional and understanding regarding my concerns. He addressed each and I will definitely be scheduling an appointment for a detailing with Isaiah and his company in the near future. **Updated Updated Review** I finally got around to scheduling my detail with Big's.
