I contacted 4 detail shops through Yelp to get quotes for my wife's 2018 CX-5. I was asked 9 questions, and then given a quote. Here's the quote from MRG: "Here is my price estimate: Price Estimate $290 flat rate" I accepted the offer and we scheduled for 9 days later. The detailer arrived at my home on time, but right off the bat said, "oh you have a dog, there is fur and mud, it will be $50/hour extra." I protested the last minute price change and he offered "well I can detail it for the quoted price but it likely won't get fully clean." I then reached out to the scheduler to make sure this was correct and they confirmed that is how they operate. Ultimately I declined to do business with MRG. Given how many 5* reviews MRG has this is super surprising to me. And yes my car was dirty, and there was dirt on the rear seat... thus the need for a cleaning, but in my opinion nothing extraordinarily gross (pictures attached). Now please allow me to editorialize a little bit: 1) If they noted this 'dogs extra' charge up front, so be it. But they did not. 2) If my car was excessively gross with filth, so be it. But it is not. 3) Pretty sure my twin toddlers were much messier than my dog. 4) Something like half of American households have dogs. It would be really simple to ask people if they have a dog or not as part of the estimation process. 5) Here's what "flat rate" means, from the dictionary: "A charge that is the same in all cases, not varying in proportion with something." So I guess the flat rate is not flat after all. 6) I have written 364 Yelp reviews over the past 12 years, and I'm very reluctant to give a 1-star review, having only done so 8 times previously. Great mobile detailing service with fully competitive prices. Mathias and Ryan came out this afternoon to work on my truck. I got their Diamond package, which is every possible little detail all in one service. For my size truck, it was $300+tip. Their website is well done--you can easily see their availability and book them through their calendar online. They showed up right on time, asked for the keys, water, and an outlet, and away they went. I went back inside to work (working from home these days). They worked about 3 hours. I heard them pause to chat for a few minutes, but otherwise kept at it non-stop. Harder than I have the energy to work on washing a rig. Everything sparkles now--glass, paint, tires, wheels, bumpers, all trim, everything inside is immaculate. It is such a great luxury to have your vehicle looking as close to perfect as it can. They carefully set everything that was loose in my truck aside, under cover. They gathered up all their things and swiped my credit card on their phone (they also accept online payments, he said). They're really nice kids, doing a great job with something that is a nice treat. And for a few of my buddies, almost a necessity. I enjoyed chatting with both of them and am already planning to schedule them again for our other car. It still surprises me how much more I like my truck when I see it shiny and clean. read more

MRG provided an interior and exterior detailing service for both my husband's car and my car back-to-back at our home. I can confidently say they live up to their 5-star rating. Chatting with them via email was seamless - they were kind and responsive. Sam arrived right on time at our home and was very professional. They spent 3 1/2 hours on each car, and it was so nice to have them conveniently in our driveway while we were working from home. I couldn't believe they stayed for over 6 hours and the experience was just so easy. My husband and I were very impressed with how new our cars felt and smelled. Simply, they did an amazing job! I got my 2005 Toyota Tacoma detailed by Ben at MRG. He spent 5 hours doing an incredibly thorough job on my truck. It got it cleaned inside and out, engine compartment and even got the cloudy headlights restored to their original condition. All for $310. Incredible value. Good service however the ceramic coating was not evenly applied. Missed areas are very apparent during rain or snow and high humidity

We had an old, small 4-door Toyota sitting outside in the Lynwood area for months without being used. Big mistake. Mold decided to take ownership of the vehicle and it wasn't messing around. We had MRG come out and go to town on the car. They put three people on it and in all they worked for over four hours. They basically stripped it down inside - took out the seats and everything to find every particle of mold no matter where hidden. In the end, the inside carpet looks new and the seats look incredible. Pricing wasn't nothing for all the labor and expertise, but reasonable for the work product. Honestly, I'm blown away by how good of a job they did. I thought the car was a lost cause. read more

I'm very impressed with this guy. He came to my house on time and cleaned the inside of my car and wax outside so good, it looks new. He cleaned my mats, under the mats and seats, and the inside of the sunroof. Top to bottom everything is cleaner than expected. He was pleasant and professional and reasonably priced. I messaged MRG about removing some decals and buffing the fenders and bedsides of a 2017 pickup I just bought used. They came back almost immediately with pricing and had availability the next day (a Sunday which was super convenient for me!). He showed up on time and was very polite and spent over 2 hours removing decals and polishing everything nicely. I could tell right away he is extremely attentive to detail and very meticulous about his work and I'm really glad I didn't try doing it myself. Some of the deeper scratches from the previous owner didn't buff out and he said he didn't want to do too much and burn through the clearcoat which I really appreciated. I had him come back a few days later and detail the girlfriend's 2011 Subaru inside and out. He polished the foggy headlights (extra charge) and they seriously look brand new, I wish I had before/after pictures. He also did a fantastic job on the inside (her car was really bad from our dog). He even emptied out the contents of the center console into a bag and detailed the inside of it which we weren't expecting. Overall, well worth it and extremely reasonable prices. Thanks! read more
