This isn't my usual nail salon, I just happened to be in the area so my friend and I stopped by to gel manicures with halloween designs. The place is big with lots of seats and nice looking decor and lighting. I was having a pretty decent experience until the last 20 minutes or so of my gel manicure when the French tip was being applied. I asked her to redo the tip multiple times because I didn't want to leave with squiggly looking tips, but even after smoothing out 3 of my nails, I didn't get that perfectly straight French tip that everyone desires when they request French tip. from afar it looks fine, but if I stretch my arms out and look at them from 2 feet away I can see some imperfections. Still wouldn't say it looks bad though. As for the spider design, I think she did a good job considering my inspiration photo was on acrylic nails and I got my spider and web design on my natural nail. I would've liked it better if she made darker, more crisp looking strokes for the web and if she could've made the spider's body stand out a little more like in the inspo photo. My friend liked her nails overall, asked the nail tech to redo the checkered design and moon that she got done, but is satisfied for the most part. So why the 2 star review? The nail lady (I don't know her name) basically ruined my pleasant manicure experience by telling me "You need to gain some weight". She was massaging my arms and felt like it was socially acceptable to comment on my weight and tell me what she thinks would make my body look better. I responded to this by telling her I enjoy my body the way it looks now with a smile, because the last thing I want to do on my relaxing Sunday afternoon is debate a manicurist on the topic of my weight, I didn't invite this sort of conversation or imply that I want to talk about such a sensitive topic, so this kind of shocked and bugged me. I was quiet, pleasant and polite the whole time, just wanted to enjoy myself. I'm petite, slim, hourglass body type with most of my fat in my lower body (if you know what I mean), so it could've been jealousy, I don't know. She apparently really wanted to talk to me about my body so she brought up y weight again after telling her I enjoy my body. This time I responded with "As long as I don't lose my butt I'm good" with a smile. Apparently that one did the trick because there were no more socially unacceptable comments coming from her. read more

Potential for a great location and atmosphere. Michelle and Lily are by far the best manicurist and pedicurists I have ever had and were very welcoming. This was my first time back to a salon in person since 2019. I was torn about how many stars to allocate. Unfortunately, they were very busy and severely understaffed. I waited with my feet in the water for over an hour (even after having an appointment). I recognize it's not their fault; after all we are still in a pandemic and it's hard to predict how busy they will be. However, I am sad to report I felt the staff was rushed because other clients were waiting a long time too and management was giving dirty looks. At first I thought the prices were fair but in hindsight I think it was pricey as my polish chipped within one day. I am very bummed because after all, the whole process took two hours. I am unsure if I would return. Maybe by appointment for Lily and Michelle (by name) or after they hire more staff. read more

I went to Topline today for the first time since my original place, Best Nails (across the street) is closed on Mondays. The salon itself was nice and clean. However, Kimberly who did my manicure cut my ring finger pretty bad and my middle finger. My ring finger didn't stop bleeding for about 10 minutes. It's sore and red and tender still (7 hours later). She was cutting my cuticles SO fast I had to tell her to slow down. It was like she was on an adrenaline rush or something. Didn't speak much English and didn't really understand me. Overall she was pretty terrible with her service and I would never go back to her. The salon itself was nice. But I'm pretty disappointed in the pain I'm still in from a gel manicure. read more

I walked in with a horrible gel manicure done only 1 week ago at Luminous Nail Bar in Cerritos. I was horrified! They had at least 4 layers of gel polish and my nails were each a different thickness. I came to finally try this place out and I was ready for just about anything. Tracy absolutely blew me away by how gentle she was when removing my previous gel, and how quickly she did a full set of Gel-X with gel polish. I came here to get my daughters nails done since she's turning 7 tomorrow...we waited a while even if it was mostly empty because I guess the technicians would rather work on gel nails or acrylics...my daughter wanted a simple design.. The lady didn't even want to do the same pattern on my child. She kept saying NO WE CANT DO THAT. She didn't want to put glitter on the top of the purple nails..so I asked "is it hard to do!? What CAN you do!?" The lady did NOT clean her nails, no cut NOTHING BUT TELL HER NO AND ENDED UP WITH NAILS MY KID DID NOT LIKE She kept shaking her head and sighing..Shame. The place is so pretty and it's new. My daughter still tipped her 5 bucks after being charged 15 dollars for PAINT..she didn't get a massage or lotion or anything. The lady almost forgot to put clear coat on cus she left and started working on someone else--then ran back and said I almost forgot..she DID NOT WASH HER HANDS in between-NASTY. How horrible. 10/10 pedicure. as for my hands, came wanting builder gel. they told me they couldn't do that on me, and advised me to do gel x instead. I agreed, as I have gotten gel x multiple times before. the application of the nails was good, but when she started shaping and filing, she ended up drilling my cuticles to the point of them bleeding. my nails are still red and raw. she also somehow made them extremely bumpy, and then charged me $60+ for them. if you are looking to get a gel x set, save your money and don't come here, unless you want bumpy nails and irritated, sore cuticles. read more
