Alma did such a great job making me feel comfortable right from the start! She was friendly, professional, and explained everything in a way that really put me at ease. She was also super flexible with scheduling. I wasn't sure if I'd get off work in time for my 6pm appointment, but she was kind enough to give me some extra time to confirm, which I really appreciated. Alma is just so amazing! She is so friendly, her studio is immaculately clean and I never feel uncomfortable. I've never been one do waxing, I've always shaved...everything...everyday. I did try sugaring for a brazilian once and it was terribly painful and took her over an hour, this coming off a recommendation from a friend. I told myself never again. Then I met Alma as a friend, she convinced me that I should try the hard wax, which is practically painless and much quicker. My first appointment I scheduled pits, brazilian and lower legs. Not only was she done in under 30 minutes, but it didn't hurt at all. Now I have a set schedule with her and I am never going back to shaving. Even though she is a "bit" of a drive from where I live - it's completely worth it to me. Alma is the absolute best and I love the location, so close to my home. Finding a good waxer is a challenge sometimes, especially finding one that is close. I was able to get an appointment right away before leaving for vacation. She provided a very comfortable experience, very fast and considerate. I was a little nervous because I haven't been back for a wax in a while but her procedure was less painful than what I was use to. She distracted me with conversation and I was able to relax and get the procedure done. The salon was very easy to find, on the 2nd floor. Alma is literally the best and believe me I've had my share of bad/rough waxers. I've been going to her for a little over a year now. The wax she uses isn't like the typical hard wax it's much gentler and it makes it as painless as a waxing can be. I had my first visit with Alma yesterday. It was for a Brazilian wax and I must say, it was the LEAST degree of pain I've ever experienced during one of these things. Alma was super-friendly and gregarious and naturally disarming. Alma explained that it is likely the 'hard wax' vs. soft wax as the reason for less pain; but I'm pretty sure it was Alma herself and the 2 tablets of acetaminophen that was the reason for less pain. The location was easy to find, with plenty of parking, her office was clean and professional. The only thing was I thought the service was going be $45 but it ended up being $50, maybe because she 'popped' a few in-grown hairs? I'm not sure. But 5 stars are still in order. I have a follow-up appointment in 6 weeks and I don't feel quite so frightening of the pain anymore. Thanks, Alma! read more

It was so easy to make an appointment. I hit her up on Yelp messaging and she responded quickly. At the 11th hour I asked if I could add lower leg to my Brazilian and she obliged. The time flew quickly since we were chatting. Alma really knows how to handle hard wax. When an esthetician finishes (read: doesn't rush) the task at hand and follow up with the once or twice over to make sure you're baby bottom smooth, then you know you've found someone who is excellent and takes pride in the quality of their work. This was my first time ever getting a full Brazilian wax ($50) and I am for sure returning to her! She made this experience so pleasant, though unpleasant because of the area she was waxing. She talked to me about the wax she was using, which is hard wax and how much gentle it is. The experience itself wasn't as bad as I had imagined it to be. She took care of me right away and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole procedure. She talked to me throughout the whole thing which I love because it distracted me from the pain. As far as where she is located, I love how close by she is to me, I have friends who go to far places for waxes, so to have her be so close by and to do such a good job makes me happy.
