I recently visited the Thai while my wife and I were staying in town to visit Leavenworth. I got the chicken pad Thai and it was perfect. I only got one star worth of spice because I am a big baby but the light clean flavor was perfect for me. My wife got the pad kee Mao and she got 3 stars. I didn't try it myself but my wife said it was great. Our waiter was very quick and friendly the entire time. We didn't have much of a wait and the ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. I ordered the cashew nut entree. To go. I ordered it at 7 and it was not ready until 7:50. They were moderately busy in the restaurant but not to the extent that anybody should have to wait more than 20 minutes to get there order. When I complained about having to wait so long, they told me that I was lucky because the table in the restaurant just had to wait an hour for their order. I did finally get my food, but the Chopsticks and napkins I was promised we're missing. A bit disappointed to write this review. We love the food and flavor is always great and we usually dine in, but unfortunately today I made the mistake of doing takeout for lunch. First, upon ordering, I asked if they could separate my salad from my hot food so I don't have to eat a soggy salad and I was denied. The order taker (woman) said they don't separate the salads from the hot food. I again repeated, "so you won't separate it for me, and I have to eat a soggy salad?" she said "we don't separate them." Ok, fine. I didn't think I would have to beg to not have to eat a soggy salad. I pick up the order and it was cold. I get home and the paper (carton) take out containers are soaked and wet, my salad soggy and wilted, my napkins soaked and wet, and food overall was cold. I am not happy about this. It's so unfortunate that this was my favorite Asian/Thai restaurant here, since authentic Chinese food is not local. read more

The Thai is definitely my go-to restaurant in the Wenatchee area. The food is always delicious, the portion sizes are reasonable, and the vegetables are not overcooked. The curry is wonderful, not too spicy, but with just enough zing to it. There is just the right amount of protein to each dish, along with lots of vegetables. Service is always wonderful, and they don't get all bent out of shape even if you ask for the check to be split after the fact when you forget to ask them to do it before ordering. Prices are reasonable. Wait times for a table are short, if you have to wait at all. The building is old, but it is always very clean. Have eaten here for years and this was the most disappointing experience I have had. Though there were only 4 other parties present, service was slow (always has been) and waitstaff was harried, distracted, polite but not friendly. Previously they had two female staff who were gracious and friendly and the experience was noticeably better. My Thai fried rice dish was adequate; my wife said her dish was tasty but did not have enough food, so that was unfortunate. Best for a business lunch as it is quiet with a decent decor, so the long wait is less noticeable since you have something to do. Cannot recommend it to families with small children as the wait with nothing for them to do is painful. Prefer the ambiance here but Mai Lee Thai has marginally better food and service is faster. read more

Very watery bland curry, the chicken was overcooked and dry, and the vegetables were undercooked. The potatoes especially were very hard, almost raw. Curry should be served with very soft vegetables that have been simmered and slow cooked in the sauce. This was an obvious stir fry with curry sauce added on top. Best part was the brown rice. Ordered pork curry. Took one bite very tough & dry.Sent it back got chicken curry it was more tender but still dry. Cuts of meat were like they thin sliced it to make it go further. This is a great restaurant overall, the food is always good sometimes a little light on the protein, but other than that it is pretty good. The only drawback we ever have is that the spice seems to never be consistent on different days on the same meal just different days that we go there.
