It's a race shop so don't be surprised when you get here. Came in to have StopTech rotors and brake pads installed on my car. I called earlier in the day, and they were able to fit me in the afternoon. I was greeted by two suuuuuuuuper nice guys that are probably the employee/owners. Easy to miss the place - The garage is towards the back of the car lot. The labor prices are very competitive, and they are quick with the work. I'd highly recommend it based on customer service, price, and technical ability. Definitively coming back here next time for other installs that I may need in the future. read more

They won't upsell you and really tell you what's wrong with the car, unlike dealerships where they tell this, this and this is wrong with your car and then they quote you thousands of dollars to get the car fixed. read more

Top Spec did a great job fixing my 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS. My wife looked them up when she needed brakes for her Rav4. We both felt they were honest and friendly and they also got it done super fast. I took my Matrix in because I was hearing a weird chirping around the water pump and serpentine belt area. Top Spec quickly realized my serpentine belt was split and loose which could have caused a catastrophic failure if I had left go untreated. The process (after new belt, new harmonic balancer and replacement for my split radiator) was painfully expensive but not unexpected given the high performance engine in this car and the number of miles the previous owner put on it. The car is performing much better than it was before my visit and I'm happy to know I will be able to truly enjoy driving this car for many more years given the life expectancy of Toyota engineering and quality work of my new mechanics at Top Spec. I highly recommend these guys. They won't sugar coat the estimate and then screw you with dishonest tricks once they have your car apart. They happily invited me to talk directly with the mechanic so he could explain in detail the work he did and why it was necessary for my car's performance. Great service, honest guys, and very affordable prices!! Last summer my car broke down and I got my crankshaft position sensor replaced at a different auto shop. However, since then my car hasn't been driving as smoothly as it used to, and when the check engine light came on I decided to take it to Top Spec since I was impressed by the amount of positive reviews on here. The mechanic, Chris, was able to diagnose the problem (it was the crankshaft position sensor again) and fixed it all in one day. Even with the cost of an oil change on top of the new sensor, I still paid less than I did for just the sensor last year! My car is finally running as smoothly as it used to, and I'm very impressed with the speed and quality service Top Spec provided. I've been taking my car to Jiffy Lube since I got it and last time I had a horrible experience so I decided I'm never going back. Looked up this place and saw the great Yelp reviews. I was in and out in a half hour. I just showed up, no appointment, and it was still super quick. They inspected my car, changed my oil, and were really nice. And cheap! Every time I go to Jiffy Lube after all the crap and fees it ends up being $50. With the coupon on Yelp I paid $23 for an oil change and and inspection. Can't beat it. This is absolutely the best shop for both OEM and aftermarket work. The staff here is incredible and Chris is the best mechanic ever. Rates are very reasonable and it easy to make an appointment with the staff here. Even the inside of the waiting area is very nicely laid out with cool JDM magazines and a scale model of an R34. Do not purchase a car from Top Spec Auto. One week after buying an overpriced Subaru Forester from them, the car caught on fire while I was driving on the freeway. Top Spec refused to fix the damage to the car until I threatened legal action and were rude throughout the ordeal. On top of that they never asked if I was okay after, and I cannot stress this enough, the car caught on fire a week after I bought it. Excluding whatever the cost would have been for fixing the fire damage, within the first year of owning the car I racked up about $5000 worth of repairs ranging from a completely new transmission to a new battery and alternator. Now that I just had to spend another $1500 on new calipers, I realized I've spent nearly $20,000 on a car that is 16 years old. Top Spec sold me a lemon of a car and once it was sold treated me like crap. read more

This shop is beyond amazing! We've brought two vehicles here so far and will definitely be coming back for any and all future service needs. They get your car in and out quickly with wonderful service and quality. The second vehicle we took to Top Spec was a 2000 truck which had just been serviced at another mechanic. Those other guys said nothing was wrong with my brakes (despite my insistence that there was) and not a week after getting it back my brakes went out. I saw all the good reviews for Top Spec so I decided to take my truck in to Chris. He got the problems fixed at lightning speed and for a great value. My truck is running and more importantly braking perfectly. Already made my next service appointment to get the belts replaced. The first vehicle I had brought in was a sedan with transmission problems that turned out to be a fault with a lot of newer Nissans with continuously variable transmission and Chris was very knowledgable and helpful in explaining what was wrong and how to go about fixing it (it's something only the dealership can do). Bottom line is that this shop is fast, affordable and friendly! I can't imagine taking my vehicles anywhere else! read more

Top Spec is incredible. They're very friendly, they do great work and their pricing is amazing. I have found that they charge about a third of what the dealerships charge. They replaced my clutch for under a grand when the dealerships wanted almost 2k. They just replaced my brake pads for a little over $100 when the dealer wanted over $300. I love these guys. They do my full sinthetic oil changes for by far less than anyone else. They take the time to answer my questions and let me know what needs to be done even if they know I'm doing it myself. It's so rare that you can drop your car off at a mechanics, especially as a women, and leave knowing they are going to do the best job they can and give me the best price they can. They recently fixed my car by merely tightening some bolts when any other place might have told me I needed to replace an entire unit. This saved me anywhere from 800 to 1500 dollars! Had our Volvo towed by triple A Friday afternoon after radiator outlet blew out in the interstate and suggested to take it to Top Spec. Chris was on his way out that night, luckily the tow truck got there in time to catch Chris. He was courteous to take us in and receive the vehicle after hours. The next day they called us first thing and told us that our Volvo needed a new radiator and that our vehicle will be ready that afternoon. They did great work and with fair pricing and also, had a talk with Chris (only mechanic there) before picking up the vehicle and assured me that everything is good to go and with few future maintenance suggestions to do in the future. Not only were they extremely quick and professional with their services, but they also make the effort to form a bond with you as a customer. I felt the entire time like I was informed on everything that was happening with my vehicle and any questions I had were answered quickly and in a way that I would fully understand the work that was being done. I found out the following day I had fried my headlights when my alternator went out, and he had me come right in and immediately made sure that was the problem and went ahead and replaced then for me. Went to Top Spect Auto today for a diagnostic on my car. They got my car right in; test drove and after a few additional questions they got right to work. To my surprise they found the issue with low fluid. Top Spect didn't charge me for the extra 15-20 minutes over the free 30 diagnostic check (mention of finding them on yelp) nor did they charge for the top off of the low fluid. Amazing customer service! During the diagnostic inspection they offered me, my husband and kids cold water on a hot day. All smiles here.
