I was trying a new place as I was in the area so I called ahead to see if they could accept a walk-in and while they said they could, it felt rushed and like they really didn't have the time. They were going quick that they knicked my hand. when it was time to pay, it was more expensive than what she told me on the phone. She told me I got an extra service when I did not. They offer a variety of nail services, including several options of polish (Dazzle, long lasting polish, OPI, and others). I don't do the no-chips but they offer those as well. Ive been going to Top Spa for many years now, I used to only get pedicures here because I had acrylics but recently I started getting Dazzle Dry manicures which a lot of salons don't carry dazzle dry, its organic polish and my manicures here are always amazing. The fact that Linda & Steph (mother/daughter duo) work together is touching to me. The salon is extremely clean, they are assertive, they usually have nice music playing or a movie on the tv for you to watch. They have 3 nail techs so I never have a problem getting an appt. even if it's last ,minute!!! My sister has started going here as well. There is a parking lot so there's Plenty of parking. I stopped in a couple weeks ago for a last minute brow waxing. After speaking with the owner I believe, she told me the price for eyebrow waxing was $15. When I went in, I was in and out very quickly and she told me it would be $18 at the register. When I questioned her pricing, she told me it was "more work" when it was definitely a normal touch up. I don't have thick brows, I just needed a clean up and she insisted it was more work. I have gone to the neighboring nail salons & prefer to come here because I am never rushed and they do a meticulously good job with my nails. I normally do not do pedicures during the winter, but decided to splurge because of their Mon-Thur $35 mani-pedi special today and was surprised to receive a nice paraffin treatment for the heels of my feet which was very soothing. I have had Sarah do my nails twice and each time my nail polish seems to last longer than usual and I have to wash my hands more than 20 times per day in my line of work. It's too bad there are not more reviews because every time I have been there the customers are on a first name basis with management. I used to go to Organic Spa in Wilmette, but it's like a factory in there and I feel they are in a rush all the time. Excellent customer service. They are genuinely kind, even over the telephone they are enthusiastic! Once you are inside, the staff always says hi with eye contact and smiles. It's cozy and clean. There's always fun tv on, a cute puppy hanging around, and CLEAN chairs. I've had several no-chip manis and pedis and both times, the specialists work slowly, detailed, and thorough. Allow for a couple hours each trip but expect your no-chip to last weeks (and I teach art!!). Another reason I found them professional. While I was there, a lady came in accidentally with a gift card to the other salon across the street. She apologized and left and the owner was so nice to her on the way out. I'm not sure whether or not I like this place. Everyone was so friendly even when I made an appointment the same day. They took their time and the manicure/pedicure turned out great! I am on my second day and my hands are chip free. The salon was relatively clean but it did have a bit of a chemical smell. That is always a bit of a warning sign to me. Also, the pedicure seemed to be lacking something with the massage and was kind of painful. I am 7 months pregnant so I was not sure if my pain tolerance is lower than normal or if it was indeed painful. I was looking forward to a foot massage but I only received a calf massage. My tech seemed overly focused on a skin condition I have (not contagious or anything) that makes my skin drier and red. Part of me wonders if she was uncomfortable. I probably will try this place again to officially make my decision. read more

I stopped in for a pedicure at the suggestion of a friend and left very happy. It's been a while since I've gotten a pedi and my feet were sad and really needed some love. I did not have an appointment, but it was midday on a Tuesday, so it wasn't a big deal. I'd suggest making an appointment because they seem like they get busy. I walked in, picked a color, and the guy got started. He did an amazing job and my feet are now happy feet! The nail technicians here were very rough on my nails when removing a no chip. I tried to go again and they put some nail Hardener on that gave me throbbing pain. They were also very rude when I had to cancel due to an emergency and forgot to call. They also charge an extra 5 dollars to remove a no chip manicure that wasn't done at their salon!!! Never will return again. I gave this place a try since I don't live too far from the nail salon. A gentleman that worked there did a decent job on my pedicur,but my no chip manicure was awful! I requested the nail color to match on both my hands and feet. The colors were not at all what I requested. My toes were a darker shade of pink than the color I had on my nails. My nail also needed to be repaired. He attempted, but I could tell that he clearly did not know what to do or where to start. Once he "fixed" my nail, the following day it ripped! I returned the next day and he was trying again to repair my nail. That was not successful. Also, the nail color obviously was removed due to the filing he performed while he was trying to repair my nail. You would expect the nail tech, any nail tech to paint and fix your nail... Nope. He expected that he finished his repair and I was to walk away. I asked him that he needed to re-paint my nail. He did, but he chose a color that did not match any of my nails again!!!! I was so disappointed. The gentleman finally found the correct color that I asked for. What an experience. I would not come to this nail salon ever again! Ladies, if you do plan to stop by, avoid the male tech. You don't want to walk out disappointed. When I went back in I was told by the owner (Mother) there would be a charge for fixing the repair again and to re-dip the nail. Are you serious after just spending $50.00 and tipping her $10.00. She's the one who did the horrible job repairing the nail not me! After the owner started telling me they're not in business to repair nails I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Who doesn't have a broken nail once or twice in their life. I have had my nails done for over 40 years and I've never heard of anything so ridiculous.
