Met a friend here for dinner. Lots of parking in the plaza. We just made it before it started to get busy. We were seated right away. The orders came out quickly. They have a good choice of proteins and veggies. Their broth was pretty tasty. The service was okay. Probably cause it started to get busy. It's probably not my top three but it was somewhere different to enjoy some AYCE hot pot.

ACYE hotpot located within minutes from the SF Premium Outlets. They'll give you a menu and you can mark off all the food you want. Food came out fairly quickly and the staff checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything. I got the tomato soup base and found it a bit on the lighter side. The meat and veggies were all fresh. They also have a sauce and appetizer bar. In addition to the hotpot, their menu also included peking duck rolls and beef/lamb kebabs. Which I thought was pretty good. One thing to note: Tip is included in the bill already. They told us when they gave us the bill.

Top Pot offers an all-you-can-eat hot pot experience for $35.99 during dinner and on weekends, which includes access to a sauce bar and a variety of cooked dishes like Peking duck and skewers. The ingredient selection for hot pot is impressively extensive, and service was efficient. The only reason for docking one star is that the broth lacked depth compared to other hot pot spots, and the meat could've been more tender. The ambiance was decent but not particularly standout.

Came on Friday afternoon, wasn't too busy. I remember coming here years ago and it was meh. Glad I came to give it another try! The hotpot meat quality and selection was okay and standard. Not quite the highest quality or event felt like the freshest meat. Really frozen for sure. BUT what I'm amazed by is the other things that they had to offer. The beef and lamb skewers were surprisngly really good! They're on par with other skewer places in the bay. Definitely loved that it was unlimited. There's also some cold dishes and some hot dishes near the sauce station. Grab your own chow mein, fried rice, and even walnut shrimp. What??? Quality was whatevers for those, but still the fact they offered that! Another great thing that's included with the price is the duck rolls. You get a peking duck wrapped which I for sure have not seen at any other AYCE hot pot spots. Staff was friendly. Our server was like, "I was worried you only ordered so little. Order more!!" LOL And what's a great plus that I noticed was that when they refilled out broth, they actually added more broth. Some other hotpot place just add hot water to fill it up. But not at Top Pot! I would 100% come back here again for the skewers and wontons! And great service!

I came here on a Saturday for their $35 per person all-you-can-eat hot pot and was enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and welcoming, with a great selection of broths and an even better variety of meats, veggies, and add-ins to customize your pot. They also offer a side bar with additional appetizers included in the price, which was a nice bonus and had plenty of options to graze on while waiting for the pot to heat up. The service was attentive throughout our meal, with staff checking in often and keeping everything running smoothly. Overall, a delicious and satisfying hot pot spot that feels like a great value--I'd definitely come back!

    Force tip

The audacity to force tip from a server who did not even serve us! Don't let that guy take your bill. I saw the other server did not do it. I want to decide how much tip I will give. What if I want to give higher tip!?? Beware!!!!! Pls to the owner of this place pls educate your server! He's done this multiple times.

We came at around 2pm and there wasn't much of a wait. We were originally enticed by the AYCE Peking duck, which was alright. The duck was a bit dry and the crepes had a bit too much sauce, but everything else was delicious. The meats were thinly sliced and brought out quickly. The sauce and side bars had good variety as well, including honey walnut shrimp! The skewers were seasoned well and fatty! I'd say the only downsides are drinks being separate from the AYCE, as well as temperatures inside. I don't think the vents were on/functional, so it was pretty hot inside. Other than that, everything was great. Would come back again :)

Went here for lunch with a friend. I love how there are so many meat choices and the service was great. It helped that we went during lunch where it was not crazy busy like dinner normally is. Food was delicious. We went with the Tom Yum Broth and the Pork Bone Broth. Their Tom Yum had that perfect sour spicy flavor, nothing to overpowering like other places. We did have to add some of our dipping sauce in the Pork broth because it was lacking a little flavor, but it was good, we just needed to add that extra to our liking. Their brisket was nice and tender and really soaked up the broth that added that extra juicyness. They also had other things at their sauce bar like Honey Walnut Shrimp, which was really delicious. The beef angus was also good and cooked very quick like the brisket. They had a nice selection of veggies and other sides for our soup. Once they saw that we were low, they came to our table and asked if we wanted more meats. They did that for all the tables. It can be very overwhelming if workers keep coming to your table asking if you want something, it takes time away from you enjoying your food. They really paid attention to their guest and knew the ques when it looked like we all needed help. Water was always refilled. We did have to hunt down our waiter to get more broth, but other then that, they did their best making sure we were all happy. When we asked for our second round, we mentioned that they missed our first order of corn and they gave us extra corn and when we asked for double the order of quail eggs (I love quail eggs in my hot pot) they really did give us a good double amount of quail eggs. Thank you so much. If you are in the Dublin/Livermore area, do try this place out if you are looking for a good hot pot place. Price is also not bad.

Excellent service. Great variety. Bang for buck. Only complaint is portions were too big. Party of two had a hard time finishing everything.

We did get seated by the kitchen, so it was a bit hectic with staff constantly rushing behind us. We got the premium set and the meat quality was great. The vegetable platter that came with the set had a nice variety of fresh veggies. We ordered udon noodles but what we got was broken up pieces of frozen noodles that looked only to be half a serving. Other than that we still enjoyed our meal and were both stuffed. Personally I'd choose the Emeryville location over this one just because it's bigger and you're not sharing a table with other guests as much.

After reviewing a few hot pot places on Yelp, I chose Shabu King based on the positive reviews. I called to make a reservation. On the day of our visit, I was glad to find our table was ready at the appointed time. One of the staff explained that each person first pick a broth type, then you can request side dishes or type of meat(different cuts of beef, pork and there is also lamb). For vegetables and seafood, they have a bar area for each and you can pick from the generous selections of fresh seafood and vegetables. I was really impressed with the variety. For seafood, they have whole small octopus, sliced calamari, fish fillets, clams, mussels, whole large prawns, as well as small crab. They also have a condiment bar for you to make you own dipping sauce. Each person get their own pot, and we enjoyed many helpings throughout the evening. Sometimes it may be difficult to flag down a server, but when you do they are friendly and eager to take your order. I think their operation can be improved by having customers scan a bar code and order online as I have experienced in other AYCE places. Everyone in our party enjoyed their own customized hot pot, and we walked away with a very full belly. Will be back again when I have the craving for AYCE hot pot!
