This new Taiwanese place inside the food court area is not bad, but wow, wait time can take 20-35 minutes after you placed the order at the kiosk in front. I kept looking around at other food stalls and still didn't get my order yet which made my lunch anxiety go up a bit. I was afraid the uncles working there wouldn't call out my name or number and would just leave the order at the counter, which yes, did happen by the time it was ready. I watched the entire time. Lines were very busy afterwards. Saturday vibes are a bit more exciting inside the food court compared to weekdays. I had the $19.50 Miso Salmon bento box meal. Salmon wasn't as good as I expected because it was hard and dry in texture. The purple rice was hard too (not enough water maybe). Veggies and two included sides were good tasting and portions were generous. It did feel like they just dumped everything in the bento box without making it look good in the tray. Uncles are hardworking though. Interesting vibes. This is very convenient for Taiwanese bento boxes and snacks or soup noodles. I'll try it again next time, but wow, the wait time definitely surpassed me.

Miso salmon bento with braised pork and a braised egg. Delicious

Nice new Taiwanese bento place in the pacific pearl food court. I tried their take away miso Salmon bento with braised pork and a braised egg. Food was delicious and generous. I especially like the red rice they have, I wish this was a bit more of the standard. You order and pay on a POS tablet, I had a few people ahead of me, food took about 15 mins to be prepared. Busy casual, bustling food court if you want to dine in. They have a 20% discount on weekdays.

**New establishment, new menu, new ownership** Truth be told, I came here to eat at the last establishment and wasn't aware the ownership had changed in only a few weeks. I decided to try this new place since I was already there and was short on time. At first I was skeptical, but the bento box I ordered at Taiwan Street Bites was really tasty! I ordered the miso salmon bento box with 2 sides. I chose the eggplant and scrambled eggs with tomatoes as my sides. It also came with some sautéed cabbage and purple rice, both of which were yummy!!! I especially loved the rice. The amounts for each item were admittedly small, including the fish, but everything was so well-flavored and there were so many items that altogether it was very filling! I am so glad I tried this new place, and I look forward to trying other dishes. The only reason I knocked off one star was the people behind the counter didn't speak one word to me when I was there... and I stood there for quite some time to try to figure out how to order on the kiosk. I was the ONLY customer there as this was mid-afternoon between lunch and dinner. Two men were just standing there. Not one word to me. I thought maybe it was a language barrier but I can speak some Chinese too, so it can't be that. Other than the "chilly" service, the place is great.

Taro and Crispy Pork Rib Soup

Food was great, but the wait was disappointing. I placed two orders at 12:25pm and didn't get all of my orders till 1pm. The railroad bento came out first around 12:55pm, then the taro and crispy pork rib soup around 1pm. A 30 minute wait. Thankfully I came on a Sunday as if this was a weekday, I wouldn't be able to wait this long as I need to get back to work and would have asked for a refund. I think the kitchen staff were short handed. The foods by all means were delicious. Taro was crispy, the pork ribs were tender, and I enjoyed drinking the soup. Everything that came with the Railroad Bento were delicious too. But the wait was not acceptable, needs to be improved. This food hall is definitely not as crowded as when it was first open. I came to check out this stall that I haven't tried and was disappointed on the wait.

Braised Pork Bento with tomato eggs and century egg with tofu as sides.

Really happy to have another Taiwanese option in the area, especially since there aren't many around. This spot is inside the food court by Ranch 99 and seems like it may be connected to a Taiwanese restaurant that used to be in the Tri-Valley (iykyk). We ordered the braised pork bento, gua bao, beef noodle soup, and squid thick soup. The braised pork bento was the standout out of the four. Very generous portion and it even came with purple rice, which was a nice surprise. The braised pork came in two large pieces and was tasty. The gua bao was also great for the same reason but with one piece of pork, plus the classic toppings (crushed peanuts with sugar, mustard greens, and cilantro). The tomato egg we ended up picking as a side for the bento was not for us since we prefer a softer, ooey gooey style, but the century egg with tofu was decent. The beef noodle soup and squid thick soup were nostalgic and decent, though more average overall. Beef noodles had a fair amount of beef (5 or 6) but despite the noodles and soup being packed in a double layered bowl, the noodles were still a bit mushy by the time we got home. It was inevitable so I don't blame them, but I personally don't love the type of noodles used. Squid thick soup was flavorful and also came with 6ish nice and plump fish paste (?) covered squid pieces but the soup itself was slightly salty. Prices overall were fair and portions were good. We waited only a bit at pickup but nothing out of the ordinary. The only major downside was that many bento items tasted like stale oil, so hopefully it was just an off day. Looking forward to coming back and hoping they add more Taiwanese snack items in the future. Hoping for fried stinky tofu!

It was pretty good. It's located at the Pacific Pearl Shopping Center near the San Francisco Outlets. It's in the Pacific Food Hall. The food was pretty good. If you're familiar with Taiwanese bento, you get rice, a vegetable, a main fish and two side. Service is essential self-serve, cafeteria style. Just place your order on the touchscreen. Grab a seat anywhere. There are several different eateries here. I took a few pictures of the menu and what I ordered. I'd consider coming back here.

    Thick Squid Soup

Can't get enough of this place! Again, everything was perfectly flavored and fresh, including the clams with basil. The stir-fry pork tripe with sour cabbage was also delicious -- will ask for more sour cabbage next time. The pork chop bento box was packed full with plenty of food for a hungry teenager. The pork chops were crispy and yummy and so were the sides.

It's in a food court- there's no ambiance. New ownership. New menu. No more Cantonese food. It's now Taiwanese food. Maybe same chef as before. Flavors seem pretty good. Need to explore more of their options.

    Pork belly bun

Delicious pork buns! Came in to try one & had to come back for more . The service is a little slow but honestly worth it. 10/10

    腰肝麵線。

A very nice place to serve truly authentic Taiwanese local food。在東灣很難得可以吃到這麼好吃的台灣小吃。炸醬麵很道地。腰肝麻油麵線也很道地。還有賣各種台灣便當。價錢嗎?還算合理。

Mom's Go-To Healthy Food Partner…read more I'm a self-proclaimed "super lazy" cook with a very active son who eats 4-5 meals a day. Honestly, just figuring out what to feed him every single day used to leave me completely stressed out. We eat out about three times a week, and we usually reserve one day on the weekend for a big, indulgent feast where we don't worry about calories or nutrition. For the rest of the week, however, I try to keep things as healthy as possible. That's why "Bentonlicious" has been such an incredible partner in my child's growth for over a decade. When the owner first started her group-buy service more than ten years ago, I became a loyal customer right away. The reason is simple: she sells exactly what she cooks for her own kids. Of course, the fact that my son absolutely loves "Auntie Jessica's" homemade meals is a huge bonus! A few years ago, Bentonlicious opened a physical storefront, which made me rely on them even more. On school days, my son eats three meals at home, and it used to stress me out so much that I would stock up on Costco frozen foods just to survive. Then I had a lightbulb moment: since I was serving frozen food anyway, why not replace the processed stuff with Bentonlicious? Now I buy their freshly packed frozen wontons and hot bentos, then freeze them for later. This has become my ultimate "lazy mom" healthy survival hack! As for food safety and quality, you really don't need to worry. Just try it once and you'll immediately understand why I trust them so much. They're a truly conscientious business!

I wanted to showcase my Taiwanese heritage for the dinner and was excited that Mama Lee's was available to cater. It was hard to decide from the variety of their catering menu because so much of it reminded me of my childhood favorites. I ordered the following, and of course it was way too much, but folks were excited to take home leftovers: - Popcorn Chicken - Pork chop egg fried rice - Chicken cutlet egg fried rice - Qua Bao - Veggie Chow Mein - Crispy Fried Tofu Sticks (with garlic dipping sauce and pickled cabbage) - Seasonal Veggie & Mushroom The popcorn chicken, egg fried rice, and veggie chow mein was the kids' favorites, along with the winter melon lemon tea, which David and Marysa threw in for being their first customer in Pleasant Hill. The adults enjoyed everything that was offered, and were excited to try many new dishes for the first time. Overall, the flavors were reminiscent of my memories of eating in Taiwan, and that was a huge plus! Communication was easy, and the day of the event, they sent pics of the food. Not only did they include delivery over $350, the food was brought in piping hot & they helped set up the food. I am excited to work with David and Marysa again for next year's dinner, and I would highly recommend Mama Lee's catering for your next event!!

My friend and I heard the same thing! However, when it came time to pay, I was charged full price. When I brought it up and even pointed out the worker, the staff claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. At that point, I just let it go but honestly, it didn't get any better from there. Every dish we ordered was bland, lacked flavor, and wasn't consistent at all. To make matters worse, I noticed something concerning near the cashier. They were refilling the water jug using what looked like a used plastic container that didn't appear clean or sanitary, which was really off-putting. Overall, this experience was disappointing from start to finish, both in terms of service and food quality.
