Paul and his team were beyond EXCELLENT. Moving can be stressful, and he helped to guide me with options and even secured the storage unit. He made the experience enjoyable. Not only are his prices very reasonable, the crew came in and very speedily got everything loaded on the truck. They wrapped all of the furniture securely, and were very careful with my belongings. They were all friendly and respectful. I felt like I hired trusted family members or friends to help me move. I will HIGHLY Recommend Paul and his team!! read more

Terrible company, unprofessional. Booked and paid extra for movers tomorrow at 10;30 only to get called last minute that my movers are unable to come and to reschedule. Didn't offer any discount or seemed to really care by the unprofessional service. Never use this company. read more

Had hired to move my furniture from Norcal to SoCal. 2900 flat rate no hidden fees. Jad discussion via text for legal purposes! Deposited $200. Written contract was changed without my consent, stating cash only! Was not informed, they should up 6 hours late . Telling cash for original price or more for card. Since unable to get cash was charged 3495! To bad they couldn't be honest! read more

Scam artists! DO NOT USE THEM! THEY MOVE SLOW ON PURPOSE TO CHARGE YOU MORE!! I hired 3 movers for a 2 bedroom apartment and it took them 9 hours! Even with my boyfriend and I helping in the end because it was taking too long! They were moving very slow on purpose and then when they got to our new place they estimated how long it would take which was a crazy estimation and wouldn't take our stuff off the truck until we paid cash. DO NOT USE!!!! It's a scam! read more

These guys are the best. Everything came in undamaged and perfectly set up. I will recommend these mover's over anyothers. Top Notch!

They overcharged me by dropping my items under a stairway and refusing to move it into my home after giving them a 100 dollar deposit and 860 in cash. The movers took 45 minutes that they charged me and left my boxes and chairs under a staircase outside on the first floor. I live on the 3rd floor. They then asked me for more money to move the items they left on the first floor. I paid 960 dollars for them to be disrespectful, rude and have the nerve to state the bill was correct. Knowing that 105 an hour for 7 hours is NOT 960 and I would never tip for such horrible service. I will be reporting them to the BBB and hopefully no one will have to go through the same thing I experienced. I would give a negative 100 rating for this horrible company. read more

This was a total nightmare of an experience. Beware of doing any business with this company, Alex and his workers are crooks! They solicitated no less than 2-3 times a day via text to the point when I finally told them to stop texting that I would call when we were ready. What a mistake! They quoted $347 for 3 hours at $99, plus $50 for gas, for the total job. They demanded $488 and refused to unload unless it was paid, IN CASH; AND REFUSED TO GIVE A RECEIPT, THAT NO RECEIPT IS POSSIBLE!! We reserved them thinking they would be honest and honor their quote. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY BEFORE CHOOSING THIS ONE! I am 71 years old, and consider this abusive, and dishonorable. read more

Paul and his team were phenomenal. They were extremely professional, on-time, and communicative throughout the process of moving us from Porter Ranch to Dallas, TX. They packed our things with such care and precision that everything made the trip intact, no damage whatsoever. We highly recommend them for any local and long distance moves. Thanks Paul! read more

I've used Top Notch Moving twice and was 100 % pleased! I get stressed moving but was reassured once again today after watching the action with their confidence ! The trio was punctual, professional and fast yet, very careful with glass cabinets, paintings, heavy furniture, huge anvil cases and more. Couldn't expect more. read more

They were awesome. Very professional and polite. They don't just move you, they take 100% pride in their workmanship. Moving was such a stressful time. But once they took over, I felt like I could breathe again! For instance: They moved my precious grandfathers clock. I was too busy to see it go out the door. Yet when I finally saw it again, I had to smile for they'd treated it so lovingly read more

This company is great to work with. They can do your entire move or just packing and loading. They can also get rid of unwanted items. Owner Paul is a true professional and will alleviate any "issues" that may come up. They are truly "top notch". read more

Outstanding work and delivery here. We move from California to Texas and Paul was clear on the quote and walk through. 4 guys moved me out and 3 guys moved me in - efficient, timely and respectful of property. My only casualty was our living room TV arriving with a cracked line. Notified Paul and he worked it out. We came to a satisfied agreement and coverage. I will hire Top Notch over and over again! read more

We used Top Notch for our move recently. I can't say enough great things about Paul and his team. Their price was very reasonable, the movers were very friendly, careful and had a positive attitude. They moved half of our things in to storage containers and the rest moved in to our house. It all went very smoothly and it was a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend using them for your move. read more

They definitely live up to their name "Top Notch". After my mother passed, I had to move her belongings into storage until I could go thru them. The job of personal boxing up her belongings was arduous enough. I couldn't imagine having to move her belongings into storage myself. Paul's moving team was recommended to me and I am so grateful I found them. Communication and scheduling wit Paul was very easy. The movers, Andrew and Gabe we polite and professional. All I had to do was sit back and let them work. They were quick but extremely careful. The whole move took much less time than I had expected. And, the price was very reasonable. Much less than I expected. I am so grateful I found them. I highly recommend them and will definitely refer and use them myself in the future. 5 Stars for sure!!! read more

WOW!!! where do I even begin? I am a home stager and I exclusively use Top-Knotch Transportation. They have been nothing but incredible. I've been working with them now for almost 3 years and I've never experienced such amazing customer service and genuine care every time I work with them. They have helped me in many difficult situations within my business. They genuinely care, and do an incredible job with moving. They always make sure that they keep my furniture as safe and clean as possible. I wish I could give them 30 stars! Highly, highly recommend! read more

After getting recommendations for Top Notch from two other friends, we had a great experience with Top Notch Moving this last weekend. The price was great, the three young men showed up on time, were respectful, worked very hard and got my house moved in the exact time owner Brett had estimated. We were very pleased with their service. Thanks Top Notch! read more

This was the first time I used this company and I would highly recommend them. Paul came out to give me an estimate and it took less than an hour. The estimate was very reasonable. When moving day came, the movers were right on time and got straight to work. They were friendly, polite and hardworking. They were considerate and careful not to scratch floors or furniture. They got everything to the new place and set up the beds and other items needing assembly. They were careful to ask me where I wanted items and were not annoyed when I changed my mind and asked for things to be moved around again. I have used several moving companies in my life, and I would say I would definitely use them again. Thanks Top Notch!! read more

We have used Paul and his crew over the past few years, but when our house burned to the ground and the only items that were remaining were threatened by the oncoming rain, Paul and his army dropped everything and showed up immediately in our time of need and took great care and kindness with our remaining items. These are not only great movers, but genuinely good human beings who care for others as well. read more

The owner Paul, made moving much less stressful! He couldn't have been more accommodating and all of his guys were absolutely fabulous!

These guys are the absolute best. I've had them move me twice in the last year and a half. They are professional, kind, and they get the job done. If something gets damaged, they fix it, even if they have to order special hinges from back east. Paul and Bret and Katelyn are extremely professional and inspire confidence. Their crews are good guys. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with these guys, which is why when I needed to move a second time, I just called Top Notch, and didn't get an estimate from anyone else. I highly recommend this company. I wish I could give them 10 stars! In fact, I've never left a Yelp review in my life, but these guys are so amazing that I felt compelled to do it for the first time. read more

Excellent choice for movers. Owner Paul Wishner and his team are experienced and easy to work with. They accommodated every one of our requests on moving day without hesitation, making what is normally a stressful and unpleasant experience a little bit easier. Paul even visited my home before the move to provide a not-to-exceed estimate of costs so we knew what the max charges would be ahead of time. Their rates are reasonable, and they took good care of our belongings. Top Notch are reliable, trustworthy, good guys. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

I highly recommend Top Notch for your household move. Paul and his crew were very professional, fast and were very helpful in unloading and placing boxes and furniture. The cost was very reasonable and happened to be lower than quoted. Top Notch is "top notch"! Thanks, Mark & Mary read more

Do not use this company. They showed up 90 minutes late, walked in my house and the first thing they did was ask to use my supplies to pack my tv and paintings (which I had been specific about in the quote), asked me to sign that I received the state law required booklet but had no booklet for me, and starting moving my items without me signing any paperwork. They had no way of moving my nice painting other than blankets and this is an oil painting! I asked for insurance and the movers said they don't know anything about it and would have to call the owner. The owner said the insurance company was closed and he would try to look up some tables and call me back with a quote. After all of this, I called the owner very upset since this was my only day to move and his response was that he got mad at his guys and could do the move himself when they get back to LA with the truck. Which would make the move 6+ hours late and be right in the middle of LA traffic. Avoid these movers, absolutely nightmare experience. UPDATE: I am updating my review from one star to three stars. The owner of the company and his business partner contacted me and were extremely apologetic and tried to make it right. They came and did my move themselves. Yes, it was 6 hours later than I had scheduled and it was a pretty unpleasant experience this morning, but I have to give the owners credit for trying to make it right. And, they completed my move and everything was in great condition. While I can't recommend the original moving men, I can say that if you book the owners, they were pretty great. read more

Very thoughtful, professional, and easy to work with - great value. Made my move a breeze!

We had an abysmal experience with "Top Notch." Paul came to our home pre-moving day to give us an estimate which was reasonable. We hired him but he was a no show on moving day - instead sending a motley crew of young guys who were sloppy and unorganized. They didn't pack the truck properly so it took them two trips of moving and they still didn't get everything and had to deliver some the next day and we had to deliver some items ourselves. They started at 9am and ended after 11pm - not because the job was large but because they would take a 20 minute smoke break after moving each piece of furniture while they complained and used foul language. They scratched up the wood floors of our new condo, they destroyed the finish on my Theodore Alexander credenza, they failed to put our bed together and they mangled our entry landscaping. They have taken no responsibility for the destruction, but instead have ghosted me despite me reaching out at least five times. My husband and I ended up moving many of the boxes and furniture ourselves because they were so slow and when I would ask for something to be moved, I would get a blank stare and inaction. To top it all off, we learned the next morning that one of the men had diarrhea all over our bathroom. The worst moving experience ever- do not hire them. read more

Wonderful moving company, very personal service. I texted, emailed and called them like crazy with all my schedule changes and requests and everybody was super nice and helpful. Honestly, I was sick of me, but they took it in stride and did 2 moves which both included packing and furniture assembly. I will definitely use them again. read more

This was an absolutely terrible experience. The short story is that we were quoted under $500 to move a three-bedroom apartment into a house. By the time we were done we paid over $1300 and they broke our 60 inch flat screen without remedying the situation. The long story is that we were offered a formal walkthrough and estimate but were not told it was essential. We did not have time that week so we were not able to have the formal estimate. Big mistake. They initially brought three movers and a full size truck. One of the movers never came inside the house and another mover spent half his time stopping to talk with us about his personal life. After loading almost everything we own into the truck, they told us to meet them at the new house. They called 15 minutes later, told us they were taking lunch and that they had to hire a fourth mover at our expense or else it would take 13 hours to complete. Upon arrival the 4th mover proceeded to smoke cigarettes for 15 minutes in our driveway and then helped himself to a bag full of avocados off of our tree without asking. We then had to continually tell them to keep working in order to reduce the enormous expense we were incurring every hour. We had to work just as hard if not harder than their movers all day ourselves to make sure it all got done. At the end of the day we were too exhausted and didn't know what else to do so we paid them the $1300. Days later we plugged in our 60 inch flat screen and found out it was cracked. Paul and another owner came to our house to inspect the television. We still did not argue about the massively inflated cost or the fact that we had to work all day ourselves including loading and unloading their truck. They agreed that their movers must have been the ones that broke it and that they would fix the situation. They asked us to give them some time to figure it out. Their solution weeks later was to buy us a refurbished television and deliver it. Since our rate tripled and the television was less than a year old we asked that they replace it with a new television. They then offered us $350. Again, less than a year ago, we paid over $800 so we declined. They then told us that they were going to give us $450 as a final offer. We told them we would think it over. A week later they sent us a check for $300 with "settlement in full" written in the memo line. They also told us they were doing us a favor because California insurance law states that they only have to pay us $0.60/pound for every item so the television was only worth $30.42. At this time we asked our credit card company to see if they could reverse the charges. The credit card company declined because they do not cover broken items and the movers did move our things from one location to the other. Because we went through this route, Top Notch told us they were offended and cancelled their settlement check. We ended up paying over $1300 and lost an $800 television. I knew $450 was probably a low bid, but I never expected to pay $2100 to move from a 3 bedroom apartment into a house 5 miles away. This company disgusts me. Especially the owner, Paul. Hire this company! I had 2 companies scheduled on the same day to come give me estimates. The other guy didn't show, saying he forgot. He did an estimate over the phone that was really high.Paul from Top Notch did show however, right on time and was very professional. The quote I received was reasonable and "binding". I was told I would not be charged more than the quote, and if it took less time, would be charged less. Moving day came and the crew was supposed to be there between 8 and 9 am and they showed up at 8:03. Awesome!!They were super friendly, and super fast. We just got out of their way and they took care of it all. They were so helpful, I was not expecting that. They even made a little cardboard shiv for my dresser so it wouldn't wobble, they fixed the control panel on my treadmill because I had put it on wrong, and they gave me a chair they had been donated as my couch would not fit into my new home. And they finished 3 hours earlier than the estimated time. AND KEPT THEIR WORD. I was only charged for the time they were there, not the full estimate/ quote. So refreshing to actually get the excellent, fun, friendly, professional service of these nice people and a company that keeps its promises. I will recommend you to all I know!!!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Paul and his crew. This last Sunday was the Rising From The Ashes Benefit Concert and Dinner for the families who had their loved ones taken from them at the Borderline Shooting and those who lost their homes to the resent fires. Paul and his crew made rounds picking up and storing furniture donated by so many families in our community who were willing and able to give over the last 2 months and will be delivering this furniture to these families over the next week or so as well. I can't say enough great things about this family owned business. I highly recommend them! Thank you for being so giving Paul! read more

If you're moving don't bother with any other company. From Paul, who came to the house to actually look at what we had, to the movers--Brett, David and Joseph--they were great. Moving is horrible but they made it as painless as possible. They took several pieces of heavy furniture we didn't want anymore, which saved time and hassle. Very fair quote compared to other companies, and final bill was actually--gasp!--MUCH lower than estimate. Very good people...give them your business. You won't regret it. read more
