Quite possibly the worst fill I've ever gotten in the 15 years I've been getting acrylics. The edges were sloppy, paint all over my fingers. They charged $10 to replace one nail tip and there's a massive gap between the tip and my real nail (pictured). Their tools and surfaces were all filthy. Well well well! As an African American who lives on the West Coast, I have never experienced such racism from the Asian community. This place made me feel very uncomfortable. I was traveling and my feet were swollen from the constant travel. The woman who did my pedicure asked me if I was in pain (which technically would be a valid question) however, I was not in pain otherwise I would have never came to the nail salon They sat me in the back after I was told I could sit in a more private suite. Two ladies started to gossip about me in the native language but I pulled a translator out on their axzzes. This was my first time at Top Nail Salon and I don't think I would ever go back! This used to be my favorite. Friendly and fun, not now. I won't be back. Too many other choices to spend my money. I signed in, sat 10 minutes then was moved to a chair and ignored as they brought 2 other clients and started right to work on them. The last straw was sitting a client in a chair beside me and started on her. I gathered my shoes and walked out. No apologies from staff. The nail tech said I was next- as I got up. No thank you. my daughter and I have very good experiences getting our nails done here. We both go to Diamond for pedi and manicures. She is very good at creating long lasting SNS nails. She is fast and efficient. I can get an appt with her at last minute and she has my nails done in 40 min. max. I have been to several surrounding nail salons and Top nails is about 10-15 dollars cheaper as well. I absolutely love this place! I have always walked out with amazing nails that last and have no errors. This most recent time, the lady doing my nails spent so much time on them making sure they were absolutely perfect and they for sure are. The staff is accommodating and friendly, the only reason for 4 stars is I feel like sometimes they are in a rush and trying to get through customers as quickly as possible so you don't get the full experience, but my nails still look just as good. read more

I stopped in here for a mani/pedi. I was immediately seated and provided a menu of services. I chose the deluxe spa pedi and a regular manicure. Both were good and what you would normally expected. The facility is a little small and it was a little warm when I entered. The chairs were ok. The overall look of the facility is not the best, but I enjoyed the service I received. The lady put a gel top coat on my sister's nails anyways and said it wasn't, but when it wouldn't dry (because it needed the UV light) she removed it and used the SNS top coat like she was supposed to have done. The next day, my sister's hands were broken out and she had to go to the emergency room. We called and the manager Charlie was extremely rude, he said "well come show me what it did to your hands then" and hung up. When we arrived and requested a refund, they tried to cut my sister's nails off with finger nail clippers. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Alright folks. Make fun all you want but I have rheumatoid arthritis and a fake hip so I can't cut my toenails on one side. I go to this salon and they are the nicest bunch around. Mimi, Charlie, and Wi always make it a nice experience and do their best to make me not feel uncomfortable. And honestly, having them massages your feet and calves is nice. So put your I'm too manly thoughts aside and try it. You are pretty much guaranteed to never have an ingrown toenail again. read more

I came here for a pedicure and was told it would be $50. After they were finished, they told me it was $70. The guy who did it couldn't speak English and they told me that he didn't "know". Reluctantly, I paid, despite the fact that I told them when I sat down that my main concern was an ingrown toenail. He didn't understand what I was saying and another lady tried to help until her client arrived and she left. I thought it was fine until Monday, when I wore my regular shoes (I had on flip flops) and it still hurt. I came back, and after they talked about me for 15 minutes in another language, told me that I could get another pedicure if I wanted or see my doctor. (I've never had to see my doctor. A pedicure always fixes it). The manager literally left the building and refused to talk to me. Everyone else said they weren't authorized to give a refund. I had to call the police to get a police report. While I was waiting, I was able to witness them using the same equipment on multiple people without cleaning it. Very disgusting. The pricing was ridiculous for the services performed. I do not mind paying for quality work, but this was anything but. The lady performing my service kept loudly announcing how bad my cuticles were to the entire salon, and laughing with her coworker. Completely unprofessional. I was baffled by how rude she was being. She began to pick up on my energy toward the end of the over hour long pedicure and kept asking me if I was okay. Never going back. The absolute most stressful pedi/sns experience ever! The basic pedi lasted every bit of like seven minutes (if that). I received the absolute worst polish job. My toes look like a five year old did them. When I mentioned it ...she half way ...cleaned them up. The SNS that I received was horrible. The nails are crazy thick and the shape/size are different for each nail. Not to mention, one hand (the nails) actually hurts! I spent $93 dollars on garbage service! I've gotten my eyebrows waxed, manicures, and pedicures of every kind, I have never had an issue. They all do a wonderful job and are very nice. I've been going to top mail off and on for nine years. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT GO!! This was the WORST experience I have ever had in a mail salon. I would not recommend anyone go to this salon. They were very busy but I only waited about 20 minutes. Once she started putting my tips on they were glued crooked so I told her. She continued without taking them off to place new ones correctly. She said she'd fix them. She then cut them uneven and I tried to show her that as well. But she didn't listen and continued. As she filled them, my sails were filed sideways it was terrible. Finally I asked her to stop, she became out of control. Jerked my hands and very roughly with clippers cut the entire nail off down to my fingertips, even cutting my finger once. Her actions were extreme, rude and unsafe. To the point that I told her to stop and get herself under control, I would leave and have them fixed elsewhere. The manager of the salon was just as rude and refused to give me the owners information which I have found on my own and will be reporting this further. The equipment was dirty and not sanitary, passing from one set of nails to the other. Very POOR customer service overall and terrible acrylic nails. read more

Absolutely the best nail salon in Lexington! I have been going regularly for 3 years now. All of the employees are kind, meticulous and take pride in their work. They engage in conversation with the customer and I always share a few laughs with them, which makes the experience more fun! The nail spa is modern and very clean. They are very organized and efficient, and for that reason, there is rarely a wait. They do such good work on my nails, that I have never had to return for a flaw or a chip. But I know should that happen, they are very apologetic and eager to fix the problem. I am a regular for SNS nails and also treat myself to the occasional pedicure. I am always amazed by their work and get many compliments by friends, coworkers and even strangers on my nails! Hannah is particularly amazing if you like SNS or SNS ombré style. However, on my last visit I asked for a service, was denied it, and essentially insulted based upon an employees assumption of my knowledge about nails. I will not be going back. I was there getting a pedicure and suppose to get my nails done as well. I was getting out of the pedicure chair when I slipped fell back in the tub of the chair . I slipped on something in the shoes they gave me. I was in so much pain I left without having my nails done and my toe nails completely ruined. I paid $ 50.00 for a basic pedicure and them to put alcohol on my nails with cotton balls. I went back today and wanted to get my toes touched up. They wanted me to wait 45 minutes for the person that painted my nails to begin with to repaint them, There were 2 other people available. Horrible customer customer service. I will never go back and will let everyone I know to never use you all. I fell due to you all having something g wet on the floor. Now I will happily pay someone else to paint my toes. We called and asked if they could take 2 full sets, they replied with "that's not a problem at all." We got there within 20 minutes of us calling and didn't get seated until abt 15 minutes before closing, which was no problem, until the ladies that did our nails were rude to us. They kept asking us questions like, "where do you usually go?" "Did you call them?" then when we would answer they would talk to each other abt us. They were so rough with my nails tht I started to bleed, my nail tech stopped doing my nails halfway, so I had to wait on my friends nails to get done so her nail tech could finish mine up. We were treated very poorly and taken advantage of bc we didn't know their language, so they talked abt us right in our faces. I understand staying late at work is frustrating, but it's not like we came last minute. Our entire visit we were uncomfortable and humiliated. I really love this place. I've been coming for years for waxing. I would never consider going elsewhere for wax. They are very hit and miss with actual nail services, though. Today when getting a pedicure the woman left exfoliant on my legs all the way to when she had drained water and was about to paint my toes. Also, when initially putting on the exfoliant she put a plop on the top of each of my feet and then wrapped a towel around it. Never rubbed it in or anything. Just a blob on top of my foot that she later just wiped off with a towel. For massaging she just ran one hand up and down each of my calves for 2 minutes. No pushing like a massage. Just caressing my leg. It all felt really uncomfortable and she seemed to not really know what she was doing. She asked me to pay her before I put my shoes on (which is fine) but then she wanted me to pay her prior to waxing and just pay separately for each service. It didn't make a lot of sense. Anyway, very disappointed with todays service. Waxing was great as always. I recommend their waxing to people all the time. read more

Went to top nail because my normal salon was closed. The actual pedicure/massage was okay, but the man doing my pedi was incredibly rude. He first asked "why are your toes crooked?" .... excuse me? When did it become acceptable to point out someone's flaws? I brushed this off until he asked me if I would like my nails done as well.
