This salon uses a simpler and faster way to remove old SNS, too, which is much better and less messy than the old-fashioned way of soaking your hands in bowls of solution. Very terrible service on the phone and in person! I called to get pricing and the lady refused to understand that I wanted regular polish instead of gel. Then once I arrived and signed in, the front desk clerk (probably the same person) asked which service I wanted today and I told her o wanted a Fill In and my Polish of choice was regular polish instead of gel. She told me that the current polish on my nails was Gel and I told her it wasn't, I got my nails done in Florida before coming here and I know what I selected. She argued me down saying "If she uses acetone to take it off then it's not gel"..... Ma'am can you just give me the service what I'm currently requesting... smh will never go there again. -55/10 experience. read more

First, I love my nails. Valerie did a great job. The customer service was good. The process to get my nails done was fast in everyone was friendly. That is a big deal. I definitely recommend going to Valerie for nails and I would recommend the shop. My issue was the poor pedicure that I got from Rama. The worst thing was , it looked like everyone else was getting a great service. RAMA did not care about removing the callous from my heels and seemed mad about me asking her to scrub more. The massage was just her rubbing my leg up and down & barely touching my feet. The males in the shop seemed to care about the service they were giving, Rama did not care and left my heels untouched. I told her that I wanted her to scrub more, she half assed it and gave a few careless swipe. She was not happy with me because I asked her to give my toes two layers of regular polish either. I had to come home and finish my own feet. That was not what I wanted to do bc I paid them my $38 plus tip. I did not argue or fuss but if I go back, I would not want her to do my service. This used to be my go to place but the last several times I've gone have been such a disappointment. I took a several month break after 3 bad appointments. I finally decided to give it another try the other day and quickly remembered why I stopped going. I got SNS and by that afternoon I had 6 nails that looked "shattered" under the clear coat. I called and went back in and they "fixed" it. The next day my thumb chipped TWICE. I've never had this happen with sns before and I'm an avid sns wearer. I paid $55 for this manicure and wasted every penny of that. Extremely disappointed and I will never be going back. I'm not one to give up on a business after 1 bad experience but this is the 4th in a row. read more

This nail salon is no longer clean. The customer service has suffered since the retirement of the elder family member and opening of the second salon. Upon a poor quality polish post pedicure, consisting of the polish piled on in areas to hide mistakes drying was delayed after five total hours. Likewise the polish was not down to the cuticle. Upon returning for another polish, I was refused removal of all the polish and polish from start without insisting multiple times and bringing in the owner. Just sad. I was embarrassed. I had to return for another polish and beauty nails acted like I had put them out. No apology on their part. read more

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and funny and talented. I was a walk-in yesterday and asked for pink/orange ombré sns with glitter and showed a reference picture. The salon is very clean and inviting. Many choices for SNS, regular and gel colors. I got an SNS manicure with acrylic tips. It was well-done. My only complaint could be that the tech asked me what nail shape I wanted but did not provide that. I also received a pedicure. Apparently, they only have one level of pedicure as I was not given any other choices. The actual pedicure part was wonderful. My biggest issue of the salon is that my heels were pretty rough, and I have some calluses and my tech smoothed out neither. A cursory scrub with a rough sponge was, unfortunately, not adequate. Would I return for a manicure? Absolutely! But probably not for a pedicure. The prices are very reasonable. read more

In the past I always thought that getting your nails done was a luxury. Then I found myself wanting to go back time after time because the staff at beauty nails do such a good job! I enjoy the self-care so much that I have a line item in my budget now specifically to allow myself the tree of a pedicure once a month and SNS nails every two weeks. The nail technician took a used nail file to use as a spatula to dip into the scrub and foot masque. This against the state board of cosmetology's policy because it contaminates the whole jar for future customers. Then when getting my sns, the nail technician placed a tip that was too small on one of my nails, when asked to put a larger one on she refused. I then told her we weren't a good fit and to remove the product. She agreed, but proceeded to talk about me to all her other coworkers in a different language. Really dissatisfied with my experience. I usually go to Hamburg, either nail envogue or glem nails for my SNS but with it being July 4th they were closed so I called everywhere in Lexington and decided to give this place a try. My nails aren't even, she had to put the tip on my thumb multiple times and it's still nowhere close to my other thumb. Same thing with my pinky. I also hate the polish, granted that part is my fault. When I asked her to reshape to make them match, she blamed it on my nail beds and laughed in my face out of frustration of me asking her to shape them. I went here for the first time since the new owners took over to have SNS nails done. I had an okay experience, nothing great but I wasn't there for conversation anyway. My first nail came over three days later but because of work I wasn't able to go back immediately. The second nail came off the next day. I went back to have those fixed and she rushed through it probably because it was a freebie. The next day three more nails were loose so I ended up being able to remove all of them by myself. I have had SNS nails before and it was a process to get them removed so these were obviously not put on properly. I will NOT be going back to this location. read more

This is my favorite nail salon for several reasons. I usually get a pedicure and sometimes a gel manicure or SNS. Their prices are reasonable and the service is excellent! They always go out of their way to make sure I get exactly what I want how I want it...even when they are super busy. I brought my southern belle to this location. She got her eyebrows waxed here. She commented that it was a bit odd to do it in a chair in front of everyone. She said, "Usually, it is done privately." This is definitely a busy nail spa/salon here in the Tate's Creek area. An array of services are offered here from pedicures, manicures, nails, etc. A typical Asian nail spa that you would find in New York City. The prices are GREAT which would get the place 4 stars. However, the place does reeks of chemicals once you walk in and it has a strong acrylic smell, which can bother some customers. This is not a top-end nail salon, but this salon caters to mostly people that like to get their services done at the last minute. I am sure there are way better nail spas/salons in Lexington but that will come with a cost. A-OK for your basic needs, just cover your nose if you have chemical sensitivity and the service can be decent for your needs. read more

My only complaint was that it took forever. They were a little short staffed and kind of got slammed. But they did what they could - called in some help - and things went smoother! I can really only say this place is OK average prices and a typical nail salon but I seem to be disappointed every time and I tried going back multiple times and it just gets worse every time. The first time a couple of my nails were crooked and a little to short for me(which is fine) the second time the girl was rude she burned my finger with the dremel and seemed annoyed I even said anything and once again 2 or 3 nails crooked. The 3rd time the guy doing them literally sliced my pinky open with a file and also in that visit no one was helpful when I showed them a picture of an ombré nail they made me dig through hundreds of colors with no help to pick a nude for the ombré and seemed annoyed I asked for help. This time and probably my final time before giving up and going elsewhere was the guy doing them put one nail tip on completely crooked and I had to point it out and ask for it to be straighter one index fingernail is noticeably thinner and longer same for one pinky nail. I get SNS but wanted a chrome which I didn't know meant I needed gel over it which he then put on all my nails even though I only wanted the design that needed it on one so now I feel like the gel made the nails lumpy and uneven and lastly they tried to convince me to like something that on their fake design nail looked cute but then when I put it on my finger it looks like party glitter confetti glued To my nail. And then he was clearly annoyed when I wanted him to take it off then the girl next to him started very clearly talking about me and how I had made him remove that and do something else(just because it's another language doesn't mean it's not obvious girl) it's just all around bad customer service beside the one man at the front of the salon he seems to be the only one who even had a good attitude anytime I've been in and he only did my nails the first time I was in so maybe he's great but the 3 others who've done my nails not so much! read more
