I went in got a pedicure and my nails done. The place is very clean , atmosphere is good . Mov did my nails , he was very patient with me and he is very experienced. I recommend going with him. I came here to get a pedicure. I love this location. They always do a fantastic job. This is a very popular spot so be prepared to wait if you hit them at high times. They have several packages that include drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They do not accept tips via credit/debit card. There is an atm that you can pull from but they also accept Venmo. The lady charged me $75 for a pedicure- extra $20 for a FRENCH TIP... which has less product than a regular polish. Then basically told me I had to Venmo her or give her cash for a tip. Whatever. Not to mention half of my toes are now bleeding and in pain from how harshly she picked at them and cut them super short. Also on a few of my toes the top part does not even have polish on. Not even ONE WEEK LATER... 4 DAYS LATER the tiny amount of polish that was used on my toe has now chipped off. For an $80 pedicure I would at least expect the polish to last 2 weeks. I got my usual, French tip SNS. Was it the best I've ever had? No. They were thicker and lumpier than usual. A week later, the white part had grown past my nail tip, making the SNS set not last as long as they usually do for me. When she was finished, there was a lot of over touch on my cuticles and under my nail. My nail tech was gracious about it, fixing them when I pointed out. I was torn between this place and another after reading reviews but in the end, I chose Spa Nails 1 for their convenient location close to where I was staying. And, I'm so glad I did! The place reminds of my usual nail spot in Michigan--chandeliers, ceiling murals, water fountain, overall Venetian look--but this place takes it a step further with a nice wine bar and so many pedicure chairs. With it being a Saturday, I thought I'd have to wait long for a pedi without an appointment but they were able to accommodate me right away. Tommy did a fabulous job on my nails and the pressure on the massage was perfect. I opted for the luxury pedicure which seems popular (everyone around me got it while there) and is well worth the upgrade price. My nails were perfect when I left and my feet were extra smooth despite the chilly winter weather outside. I would highly recommend if you're in the area or Poot for a new nail place home. Short story: Don't let Lee do your nails. Long story: I stopped by here on my way home from work to get SNS removed and regular polish put on. I was between two polishes when Lee came up and took the one from my hand and told me to follow him. Well, guess that decision was made. He then did a half-assed, shoddy job of taking off the SNS. My nails were definitely sanded down too thin in some spots, and polish wasn't quite removed in others. But no time to worry about that, the show must go on. The paint job was the fastest I've ever had. Which is never a good thing. After "5 minutes" with my hands in front of the fans he said I was good to leave. On my way out the door, the lady in charge told me I needed to sit under the UV/fan dryers. I said that Lee told me I was finished and she said no definitely not. So I sat there for a while. She came to check on me again and I pointed out two of my nails that were wrinkled. She had Lee come over to fix them. He painted over one, which helped. He tried to shave down the other, which did not (you can see in the picture). I sat down to let the new polish dry and never saw him again. The same lady made sure I was happy before leaving (I didn't notice the flaw at that point). The only reason they get 3 stars is because I was happy with the lady who tried to make sure I was getting a good experience. Lee needs to slow down and put some effort in his work. read more

My daughter & I had a girls day out. She wanted a medi/pedi and I had just had one prior so I only got a pedi so we could have matching polish. The inside is beyond beautiful, I just loved the atmosphere. However I will say I don't feel like that had many sns options compared to another salon I use often. If they had a wider selection I would have gotten my nails done also. They worked really well with my daughter and for that alone I leave them a 5 star. The look on her face explains it all! The inside is gorgeous, and there are always plenty of chairs available and enough nail techs there working so there is rarely a long wait (which I cannot say about other nail salons I have been to). The nail tech was a bit direct and didn't smile at all. He tried to put on my shoes after the nails were painted and messed up some of the toes. Instead of taking the polish off, he just painted over the problem. Basically, I feel as though the pedicure I provide myself at home is more worth my money. Lucky me got Sean for my pedicure What an amazing man he is! Great personality, polite, easy going, great sense of humor and made me feel so welcome in a town where I was a stranger. This has been my favorite nail salon for years! I've been to many others but always come back here! They are very professional and have a very streamlined operation going which is relaxing. They've never said no to me as a walk in (I never make appointments). Huge selection of polish colors and no televisions, which I like. Before COVID, they'd always set you up with an ale8 or Diet Coke and now have a bar! Beautiful interior and friendly people. They are doing temp checks now and screening for COVID and have plexiglass everywhere, even on the pedicure chairs, which I haven't seen anywhere else. I recently moved to Lexington and was nervous about finding my new nail spot because it usually takes a couple times to find the right person. Well this time I lucked out. I made an appointment and was paired with Mary. She is the best nail tech I have ever had. I have been getting acrylics for years and she talked me into getting the Sns dip manicure, which I was a little nervous about because I had done it a couple times in the past and they broke easily. I am so happy with my sns manicure. They are strong and look very natural. Mary's attention to detail and talent is incredible and her pedicures!!! Are awesome. This place is amazing! I walked in and they had fun music playing, the staff all seemed so happy to be there, and so nice. They immediately got me in, handed me a glass of wine (for $6) and then preceded to do my pedicure and nails at the same time. For some this may seem like a bad thing(they are trying to get you in and out as fast as possible) but for me it rocked! I hate getting my nails done because it takes forever but I love a good pedicure, so that was perfect! The Decor is beautiful, they keep it so clean, everyone is in matching scrubs with their names on it, they have walkie talkies to stay in communication (I.e chair four needs a glass of wine, or hot towels ready for chair 6). They have timers on all the chairs so when they say "includes 10 min massage" on the menu, you know you are actually getting a full 10 min. My first and ONLY time at this place - $37 for the wrong color, a few gloopy looking nails?!?! I show the nail guy my color and he selects it from the wall. After a quick file and sanding of the top of my nail and cuticle treatment, the gel process begins. Here's where I take issue: 1. On my first nail, the first bit of color goes on - I tell him it's not right. He says after 3 coats it will get darker. 2. As he goes back and forth between hands on the color, my left and is never in the UV for the 60 seconds it should be. There's even a timer on the device. I tell the guy after he does this on the third coat, but he still takes the device away from my hand after just over 30 seconds to cook the top coat on my right hand. 3. After all coats are done, I show him the color I selected (which matched the bottle he picked) and how my nails are not the same. He is surprised, agrees it doesn't match, and says he'll get the manager. 4. Instead of getting the manager, he puts the bottle back on the shelf, takes out his tablet, and charges me $37. I asked if he was getting his manager about the wrong color, but he walked away with my debit card. I follow him to the front and ask if he is going to get his manager as he hands me my receipt to sign. 5. His manager was at the next station and asked what the problem was. I explained and showed him the color issue. The manager first says I should have let the tech pick the color from the wall - when I confirm the tech did pick the color himself, the manager says the tech did it wrong and didn't do the black base coat he was supposed to. 6. The manager says I can stay so they can fix it. I express two concerns - I don't have time to stay for a second session and I don't want to damage my nails. He tries to convince me it's not damaging and to set an appointment, I told him I'm not happy with those options. 7. I ask if anything else can be done, but the manager is firm that I can set another appointment. I asked why I would want to do that when I didn't have a good experience on my first one and was charged $37 for something I didn't request AND wasn't happy with. 8. The manager said there's nothing I could do about that, so I firmly told him the one thing I could do was to never come back. read more

My friend and I came in and the lady who did her nails was extremely rude, talking about my friend right in front of us, then proceeded to do them wrong. Came here because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews on yelp and google but my time here was not a reflection of others' experiences at all. -Made an appointment for pedicures for me and my mom. We arrived 10 min early so we could look at colors. One of the nail techs immediately came up to us and followed us around, asking repeatedly if we were ready yet. We felt pressured and ended up choosing colors we weren't satisfied with. -I asked my tech if she could do an ombré style on my big toes, I showed her a photo. She said yes, told me the green I chose was $5 extra (no signage indicating it was extra) and the ombré style would be an extra $3 and then proceeded to do the ugliest attempt at ombré nails that I'd ever seen. It was just splotch. If she had said she wasn't familiar with the technique I'd be more than ok and would have asked for something else. She just wasted both her and my time. -I then asked her if she could just paint my big toes solid gold because I didn't like the ombré attempt. Idk what's standard practice at nail salons but I thought she'd erase the initial polish before repainting with gold- I was wrong. She just painted over my toes. You could still see some green under the gold. -I asked her if she could erase the big toes and just repaint because I could still see green. She said no. She said she would just add another coat. It's really clunky and thick now. I decide not to argue any more. I walk out. Accidentally smudge my toe getting in to my car. -I'm so frustrated at this point but decide I'm going to go back in and ask them to fix my toes one more time. Talk to the front desk, they return $3 for the ombré, and I finally get the chunky nail polish removed and my big toes repainted. Nail tech is clearly displeased at my many requests. -My mom also bad finished before me and the tech basically kicked her out before I was finished. Maybe this is a COVID protocol, but they didn't explain it as such. They knew we were together. I don't get pedicures often, but often enough that I know that it is supposed to be a fun and relaxing experience. I'm feel so disappointed that I have to give 4 out of 5 stars from this one experience. I took my mom and nana to get our nails done right before Christmas. All was well, we even ordered some mimosas, but when it came time for me to pay for our service my nail tech (who apparently is new) yelled at me to get up and pay. 3x. Not once but 3x. Even after being harassed to pay I'm still offering to leave a tip and can't? Their solution was for me to use their ATM in the back to withdraw cash.
