I used to love this place but the last two visits have been disappointing. A few months ago they filed into my nail beds aggressively and my nails have still not recovered. At that visit my daughter had her tech actually cut into her nail bed causing it to bleed and it hurt for days. This last visit they quoted us one price and then raised it significantly at check out. I have been going to the same woman for 7 years but she is on vacation for the next few weeks and I needed my nails done. Called around town and everyone was booked and I didn't want to wait. Walked into stella around 10:30am and was told to come back at noon. Came back at noon and my nails weren't started until 12:30. Which is fine, just wish they would have told me to come back at the correct time since they knew they were busy. Got a gel pedi, she did a great job, only part I didn't like is that she filed my old gel off with a dremel and I am used to getting them soaked off. Music was great, service was good and I love my nails. And good prices! Only downside was the wait and how my previous gel polish was taken off. I hate giving bad reviews but today's experience at Stella Nails was just terrible. To begin with, the lady cut and filed my nails shorter than I had requested, so much so, that I hardly have nails now. Then, she did such a messy job at the SNS that all my nails looked like they had 2 shades.. and the worst thing was all the nicks and cuts! No amount of wincing or asking her not to get too close to the skin made a difference. By the end of it, my nails looked stubby, messy and my cuticles were a mess! Another lady had to come and "fix" the work of the first lady ... made the nails slightly more presentable but not much. And all of this took 1 hr and 38 minutes!! Every time I wash my hands or use sanitizer, it stings like crazy. I do not recommend this place. read more

Well..about 5 days ago I went to get my nails done for a special event and when I left they looked amazing . but after 2 days the gel was rubbing off..... and after looking at the design I realized it was messed up. It was $84 in total and they wouldn't give me a refund. DO NOT GO HERE. And the fact I tipped him $14 was outrageous. I've had lots of bad nail experiences and thought I would never enjoy getting them done again. My coworkers finally convinced me to try Stella Nails. This place really showed me why people enjoy it so much. Not only are my nails perfectly what I wanted, my nails aren't sore and my fingers don't hurt. I had an appointment here at 4:15. I come in at 4:15 and there is no one available. When I asked the man at the front desk how long the wait will be, he started speaking to his coworkers and then very abruptly said "pick out your sns color and the gel color." He did not answer my question. I ask again, and he says the same thing. I had things to do today, so if I make an appointment at a certain time, I expect to be taken care of at that time. I waited there until 4:25 and nothing. The least he could have done was answer my question about a wait. And it is over priced. I stopped here because it is close to my home, but I would be more than happy to drive to another nail salon. Hope this helps! read more

This is a great nails place in Lexington. It's very clean and they are using disposable products for sanitary purposes. All of the technicians are wearing masks. My feet are in poor shape because it has been awhile since I had a pedicure - COVID has left me with a lot of deferred maintenance! They seem to have these great gentle tools to clean the nails and leave them smooth and polished. And the best part is you don't get the awful sense that they are chatting about how disgusting your feet are while you are sitting in the chair. I got the deluxe pedicure which left me feeling invigorated and my skin so fresh. They give a great leg massage as part of the service and you sit in a massage chair both of which were very relaxing. My daughter got acrylics so her nails will look nice on her first day back to college. They look great! I was shocked at how relatively inexpensive both services were. I know I'm comparing to California prices but it really was an amazing value. Highly recommended. read more

I was getting acrylic taken off. And the lady removing then went right through my actually nail to the point where I winced in pain. You can see in the photo how far she went through. I told her it was fine and then she precise to also hit my cuticles which also made me wince in pain and she thought it was so funny, she began laughing. Very careless about her work. read more

I just had my first pedicure and gel manicure at Stellas. Elda was my tech and she did a fabulous job. The basic spa pedicure was very nice. The tub was lined with a disposable liner and the scrubs and lotions used were in individual disposable containers. I loved the massage chair and the leg and foot massage was unexpected but so nice. I have had the worst experience with stella nails. I got my natural nails done with SNS dip, as I do every two weeks. My natural nails are very healthy and long and I maintain them incredibly well. I have been getting my nails done every two weeks for 4 years now. I had four of my natural nails break, not just the top part all the way to my skin that is really on my nail. I have never had this happen before and that was within the first three days. I have never been so dissatisfied and I am honestly disgusted with the quality provided by stella nails. read more

It's okay. I went and got a fill-in and the lady was a bit harsh when shaping my nails. I kept wincing as she was hitting live skin and nerves. While the nails and shape turned out great, and the colors as well, the fill in last like maybe a week? Before multiple came loose and popped off. I've had my fill ins for a little over a week and 6 are off already. This is something that maybe shouldn't really happen until past 2 weeks with acrylics. On top of that, the way were using dip power wasn't the most sanitary. Some places now use a brush and apply the dip to it, and then apply it to your nail. Instead here, they physically dip your nail in the powder. This would be fine if they required each and every customer to wash their nails beforehand, but this wasn't t asked of me. I already had sanitized my hands beforehand but imagine not everyone does. Not exactly hygienic if you ask me. It's a more budget-friendly option but you get what you pay for both in quality and service. read more

Didn't care about preferences or requests, overall a terrible experience, save your time and spend a little bit more elsewhere.
