I came here because I needed a rush acrylic fill on my nails. They got the job done fast and were even able to fix one of my nails that was completely broken and short. My technician was efficient, kind, and talented. Everyone was extremely nice. I had my young brothers with me and they were able to sit on the couch and watch a movie. The managers said it was okay and helped me to set them up within eyeshot. An acrylic fill cost $25; very reasonable in my opinion. I wanted to get a pedicure here but just did not have the time. Everything was super clean and sanitized. I will definitely be back!! BONUS- They had a bar where you could order a glass of wine or other drinks. What a great way to promote relaxation for busy men and women who are coming in for the spa experience. read more

First time at Lavish Nails for a scheduled pedicure. The tech was very pushy and seemed very annoyed that I did not want gel polish. Finally move on. After we got past that, then proceeds to ask me if I am married and do I have children? I said no to both. Thought he was going to have a stroke! And then said, I am so sorry. Are you kidding me! I scheduled a pedicure, I did not order a Victorian! Do better. read more

First time back in a minute. It was very clean and renovated. Giving upscale and the prices were not bad at all. They pride themselves on quality and being quick! I got the French tortoise nails and they were gorgeous! I left very happy with my birthday nails and they are perfect for fall. Definitely a spot to check out and you can enjoy some wine while they do them. My nails techs name was Sandy! read more

I've been to Lavish twice now. Once for a headspa and nail appt and the next for a nail appt and I couldn't recommend them enough! I had the best experience and the vibe in there is perfect! My nails look fairly decent, but the quality just isn't worth the cost. Several nails were not anchored down and have separated from the tip, so I have to manually dig stuff out from between the gap else it just looks nasty. The tech also cut the cuticles pretty badly, which led to super sore fingers. I likely won't return. read more

The quality verses the price is just way off in comparison to other companies in town. It took the lady literally 10 minutes to do a gel polish change and it was $35. That was not even a manicure..just taking off regular polish and painting on the gel. They are ALWAYS in a rush like they have a quota to meet and the management is always stalking over them as they work. Its truly uncomfortable to watch as a customer. read more

I have been coming to Lavish nails off and on for a few years now. Sometimes when I wanted a good massage I would go to a different salon since the chairs here weren't great, but they did great nails and a good price. Now they have upgraded to new chairs and they are very nice! They also revamped their nail menu with a significant increase in prices. They still did a great job! But the pricing is a bit much. read more

I'm a college student at UK and I went to this place YESTERDAY and spent 120 for a gel mani and regular pedi. Pedi is fine... However, the lady who did my pedi also did my mani. Made my nails way too thin to the point where my nails are weak and part of my nail ripped and looks crooked. I took a file to it and it's making it worse. There is also bumps on some of my nails. Don't recommend. Don't know her name because all she wanted was my $, don't waste your time here!!!! read more

The salon is clean and pleasant. Fastest pedicure I've ever received. I would give 4 stars except my nail stylist was really not in a good mood, didn't communicate well, and couldn't get rid of me fast enough. This was my first time visiting Lavish nails on Nicholasville road. It was my birthday I came in with my picture in hand of what I was wanting it was 7:00 p.m.. A nail tech by the name of "G" without hesitation knowing my request would take at least 3 hours agreed to take on the service. Even after everyone else left for the evening around 7:30 p.m. he continued to work on my nails with great precision and diligence for the next two and a half hours. When I began to apologize for keeping him so long after closing his response to me was"I knew how long it would take when I took on the job." And I will do my very best for you whether you are my first customer or my last. " He was very personable and kind. And needless to say when he was finished my nails was spot on of the recreation. Having going above and beyond making sure I was happy with the job he had done . I would highly recommend "G" to anyone. You can't go wrong with his guarantee of happiness. read more

I was in Lexington visiting my BFF and we decided to unwind after a long week with pedicures. Lavish Nails did a great job with COVID restrictions. Everyone is wearing a mask...customers and employees. Customers are seated every other table/chair (6 feet apart). Employees are wearing plastic pancho like coverings for protection. As I was waiting on my pedi, I watched as every station was cleaned and sanitized appropriately. I called 2 days prior and scheduled 2 pedicures for 6:00 on a Friday night. We arrived at 6:00 and waited a few minutes before being seated. They were a little busy but had plenty of staff to accommodate everyone. I chose the Milk & Honey pedicure. I was sad to see they didn't offer the hot wax option (highly recommend it if you have the chance to try it!) But the pedicure was very relaxing. They really spent a lot of time on the massage piece and that was much needed after being on my feet all week. I would recommend Lavish Nails. Great customer service. Great job with the pedicure. Very relaxing. I will be back! read more

On the pricier side of nail salons. When I got a pedicure they didn't cut my cuticles and my gel polish came off on some nails within a day. I paid $55. I purchased an acrylic set as well and the nails were not formed with an apex which is extremely important for nails to last long and not break easily. Very flat and rushed as well as certain nails had a completely different shape than others. The nails are already lifting after 5 days. I'm just not the one to NOT pay for the service even if I don't like it. I don't want to be disrespectful but for my first time experience here it was NOT worth the money. :( read more

Been going here for months now and the employees are pretty friendly and the inside is gorgeous. The last two times though I have had to wait 40-50 minutes to get seated and start on my nails. The last guy I had was also extremely rough and cut me around my cuticles. Normally though they are pretty gentle. Previously they were very good with social distancing due to covid. They put little shields between seats and distance people with a seat in between, not last time though. There were people placed in almost every seat on the nail side, including right next to me. They made me feel comfortable with all of the covid precautions at first, but not the last time. Price for SNS w/ tips has ranged from $43-$53 personally. read more

My usual nail tech was out of town and so I tried this spot. I waited forever and they seated someone before me that got there after me. I picked out my color and they said they didn't actually have that color. I picked out another one and they gave me the wrong one. I opted for plain white, and gave her the number. She picked a white in a completely different brand, when I had picked my brand because I know it lasts longer. She was not happy I was getting gel, and not SNS. There is polish all over my cuticles, and did not take it off. The polish job is bumpy and very thin. All of the employees I encountered were rude. She slapped my hand and rolled her eyes at me after I washed my hands because I apparently didn't dry them enough. I am literally going tomorrow morning to get these fixed at my usual salon. I am out $30 when I could have done a better job myself for free. read more

Just had the worst pedicure ever. My parents love this place so I thought I would give it a shot. Went in at 2:30 on a Wednesday, it wasn't busy at all, took me straight to a chair and a tech started on me immediately. Communication is not good here, my tech understood zero of what I was saying. I paid for the mid-level pedicure, milk and honey. It said a 16 minute massage was included. I Had assumed that included massage of the feet, but no. I asked twice if she could rub my feet but she never did, the bottoms of my feet weren't touched at all. No lotion was put on me the entire time either. My feet are super dry and my toes could have used some cuticle oil. I paid $45 basically for a polish change and calf massage. I won't go back. Giving 1 star simply because zero stars would be really mean. read more

This place used to be one of my favorite nail salons in town but the last visit made me feel underwhelmed. I ordered the deluxe pedicure with the hot oil, hot stones and 20 minute massage. I had jeans on, but pulled up to my knees, the oil from the "massage" got all over my jeans. As for the massage, it really was just her rubbing her hands up and down my legs with NO pressure what so ever. The color selection is pretty good. However, the lady doing my pedicure complained that I had glitter polish on and she had to take it off. And then she complained that I wanted glitter polish put on because it is so difficult to take off. Over all, it wasn't the worst experience, but I have had better. I will be looking around for a new nail salon. read more

Not sure how I ended up with such a sour experience when everyone seems to have a better time than I did. I am very disappointed and will not be returning. New to Lex and coming to this salon for the first time, I was expecting the "luxury" feeling and to get a little of the pampering that they tout on their website. Ooof that did not happen. Maybe the woman who did my nails was having a bad day but she was rude and surly immediately. I hadn't picked my color yet and she was pissed right off the bat. When I asked for Bubble Bath (a pretty standard OPI color), she said we're out. Didn't offer to help me find something similar because I was unfamiliar with all the other brands they carry. So I stood there trying to find something I liked and every color I picked she said they didn't have or didn't seem to want to give me, I'm not sure. She was annoyed I didn't want extensions and couldn't believe I asked her to shorten my nails. My favorite part was when she asked what shape I wanted. In all my years of manicures, asking for soft square is pretty common. Her response to soft square...NO. Just no. She gave me square. She then proceeded to finish my manicure in about 20 minutes. I felt totally shoved out the door because I wanted a straightforward no-chip manicure. Not relaxing, not enjoyable. I give an extra star because while it was super rushed, she did apply the polish I chose perfectly. My tips to others: not the place to go if you want a relaxing elegant experience. The upselling began immediately - add extensions, SNS doesn't actually come with a manicure - only the polish application. I overheard almost the same conversation next to me as the customer kept telling her manicurist, "no I don't want extensions and can you shorten my nails because I sit at a computer for work all day." Clearly they are instructed to push the upselling. The manicurist also started very pointedly putting away all the crystals and extras on her table because I wanted a simple no-chip manicure. SO UNPLEASANT. read more

I've been here quite a few times and have always had a great experience and left the salon with a smile. However, today was the complete opposite. I asked for SNS french tip nails. I got this same thing about 8 months ago and they were the best manicure i've ever had in my entire life, so I thought this time would be no different. I was wrong. My nail artist wasn't mean, but I could tell that they made quite a few mistakes and didn't bother correcting them because it would have taken them much longer. I held out hope though thinking I just needed to trust the process, but I wish I would have just stopped them before it was too late. It was painfully obvious how weird the colors looked, how curvy my nail shape was, and how extremely thick the nail was. I don't know how my nail artist could have looked at that and charged full price for it. I wish I would have complained, but maybe my nail tech was new and I would have felt awful for saying something. I will say, if they are letting apprentice nail artists do nails there, then they need to let the customers know before they get their nails done by them. There is a risk of disappointment from customers. read more

most overpriced nail salon i've tried and unprofessional service. won't go again and don't recommend

I haven't been to Lavish nails since their remodel and coming in feels like the best spa experience. My friend decided to join me and was a walk in. We both got pedicures and I got an acrylic gel manicure. Customer service is spot on - they've got headsets to communicate and everyone is doing their best to make sure you are taken care of. I ended up getting the Milk & Honey Pedicure (with a drink included) and Lavish ensures your massage is exactly 16 min with a timer and everything. After, I got my manicure done and they are exactly what I wanted. Plus, if you give a 5 star review on google you get 10% off, and they deserved it for sure. See photos for details. Color: 94 Gel. Busy salon with plenty of staff and long waits. Nothing new for a popular nail spa but I was disappointed that they were rated #1 in the area but are actually mediocre with a high price tag. The nail tech kept telling me a coffin couldn't be done on shorter nails so I let him do it on a longer cut. I realized HE couldn't do a symmetrical coffin. I kept pointing out the canted side of the nail he over filed and then asked him to fix it. Of course he got an attitude. He also said he had a match of my my gel nail polish for my pedicure but it was similar not the same. All in all it cost $80 for a full set with gel and a basic foot wash with polish. It was my birthday- so I agreed and so I wanted to treat myself, before I knew they were just "okay". It took 3 from the time I sat on my pedi chair till my nails were done... 3 HOURS!!!! I have been going here for a while now...probably a year or longer. They have always done a good enough job, sometimes better than other times. Lately however, there has been a drop in quality consistently in both the service and the attitude of the staff. The last time I had my SNS done was about 2 weeks ago or less. It usually lasts at least 3 weeks or 4. This one was the worst because the nail tech cut me twice, bad enough that I had to wear a band aid over that finger for 3 days...after I told her she didn't need to do my cuticles. Then the nails started chipping and the so called chrome started coming off almost immediately. Now it's been less than 2 weeks and I called to see if they could fix one nail which is the worst one and the guy on the phone starts gaslighting me about how SNS is only supposed to last 2 weeks! I'm pretty sure I'm not dumb and I have been getting this done for a while now! You just lost a regular customer! Thanks for patronizing me!! read more
