    Toms Place Cartersville Ga.
    Jim B.

I went here the 1st time two years ago. Great for Pool and knocking back some beers meet friends. Good bar food. drink specials are killer. I have a Cheese Burger and fries most every time. I like a grilled burger. Lots going on here. Raffles and Live Music. I have seen many bands here and I gotta give it to Road House, Blue Roads, and No Sweat. Best bands I've seen around the metro. I like the feel of the place. Friendly lots of TVs, Pool, Darts, Corn hole, Free shooters on certain nights. If your looking for a place to make a regular stop in with friends I've been to both Sixes Tavern and Tom's Place and Tom's is number 1 for the friendly fun and old school feel and best bands. Sixes is pretty good too but I like the bands at Tom's.

Small, dark, lots of neon and wood give this place a true dive bar vibe. There is a small bar at the back that seats 10 or so. Outside there is a nice sized patio with a stage that almost always has some live music going. There is a kitchen too. You will find your typical Cisco bag bar food. Deep fried this and deep fried that. Food is fine. Definitely gets the job done when you have had a few beers. And it's pretty damn cheap too! Service was decent. The girl behind the bar was prompt but definitely leaned towards the regulars which is fully to be expected and honestly somewhat appreciated. After all they are the ones in there putting cash in her pocket day in and day out. This isn't a place I would recommend going to specifically grab a meal but if you are in the area and thirsty for a cheap beer and maybe listening to a guy strumming his guitar, it's not a terrible spot.

I recently went out with my friends and we immediately get in line for the bar, my friend orders a beer first and he is with his girlfriend, who doesn't drink, but still wanted to come out for a good time. The bartender yelled at her to order something off the menu and she said I'm not going to drink. The blonde bartender immediately tells her to "Get the f*ck out" for no reason at all other than the fact she didn't want to order a drink. I then come up to the bar in order a drink for me and my boyfriend. I have both of our valid IDs and she looks me in the eyes and says "I'm not gonna serve you either. You can get the fuck out." We are all around 25 years old so I don't know what her problem was, I told my boyfriend what happened and he calmly asked her why she wouldn't serve me and she yells " I don't have to serve her and I don't have to serve you all of y'all can get the fuck out. I can choose who I wanna serve." I am truly bewildered by this experience and will not be going back until that bitch is fired.

We had a group of us and everything was very good. We started with the fried green beans and queso dip plate. Both very good. The Tennessee whiskey burger was great and cooked perfectly. Service was friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. The standout was the Reuben sandwich, which was nothing short of outstanding. Thick, tender corned beef, perfectly melted Swiss cheese, tangy sauerkraut, and a rich house-made Thousand Island dressing, all pressed between buttery, toasted rye bread. Every bite was balanced, hearty, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best Reubens I've had, sports bar or otherwise. Add in a solid beer selection, well-made drinks, and consistently great food across the menu, and this place earns a true five-star rating. Whether you're here for the game, the food, or both, this sports bar delivers on all fronts. I'll definitely be back.

At her recommendation, my husband had the blackened salmon and asparagus. He normally doesn't use the word "delicious" but he said the salmon (and that bourbon dipping sauce) was delicious. I had the calamari and clam chowder. The calamari was VERY tender. Rhonda said there would be LOTS of clams in the chowder. Wrong, Rhonda! There was a TON of clams in it!! I highly recommend Main Street Coastal!

Some of the best food I've had in quite a while--and the price will knock your socks off compared to Atlanta. I started with the steamed mussels, and they were easily some of the best I've ever had. The sauce was incredible, and they serve it with garlic bread that's perfect for soaking it up. For my entrée, I had the Main Street trout, a nicely prepared filet that was very flavorful. The seasoned grilled vegetables on the side were outstanding and really brought the whole dish together. Another thing I like about Cartersville--free parking everywhere, which is a nice change from Atlanta. The downtown brick area is beautiful, and the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. They also offer a military discount, which I always appreciate. Honestly, a meal like this in Atlanta probably would've cost double what I paid. Shoutout to my server Savannah, one of the sweetest and most attentive people you'll meet. She made the experience even better. Easy five stars. I'll definitely be making the drive back again.

Unfortunately, this has to be one of the worst, if not, the worst Hooters I've been to. From slow service to cold food, the entire experience was a disappointment. We visited on a Friday evening around 7:30-8:00 to listen to live music on the patio. As we walked through the restaurant I noticed it to be pretty busy along with a full bar. The patio, however, was dead with only two other tables besides ours and two serves assigned to the area. We waited a solid 15 minutes before we were greeted and asked for our drink order. From there we waited about another 10 minutes to get our drinks with one person in our party waiting even longer. We placed our food order when the drinks came which consisted of wings and curly fries. After 50 minutes and one of us going inside to ask out our food, it showed up, cold. On top of that we were missing part of the order. Our server apologized and informed us she had just had surgery... not sure what that means but apparently it means our food gets to sit in the window. I know there are bad nights. Walking to Mike's place the first thing that hits you is the smell of the roasting meats in their ovens. The sweet smell of roasting ham and the smell of garlic and spices on the roast beef kicked up my appetite. I ordered a sandwich called the Ferdi. I think it's the best sandwich I ever ate! Served on a soft hoagie roll and stacked with ham, roast beef, shredded cabbage, pickles, a creole mustard and debris.
