Perfect place to enjoy a few drinks. The entire speak easy theme is fun and so cute. The drinks are made perfectly.

Lively and quaint little local spot. They have karaoke and live music on the weekends. The Chicago style pizza was delicious! Our bartender "Indigo" was friendly and attentive. Beware, however, the place is small and loud when they have live entertainment. Having a conversation is nearly impossible. read more

Service was not good.we did not even stay for a drink. As soon as we walked in we received dirty looks. So many choices of places to eat and spend our money. We went to a different establishment. Subourbon is your typical rough dive bar. Although I've seen some good bands on the weekends but the place is very smoky and seating is very tight everywhere. Drunk or high ppl stumbling around and being obnoxious. The restrooms are in a odd place near the stage. I'd like to preface this review by stating this place would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the behavior of the DJ. We flew in from DC and were coaching a baseball tournament at Lakepoint and we love a good dive spot so this place was recommended. The bartenders and staff are terrific-very friendly and work quickly. They have beer pong, pool, and despite my qualms with the DJ he actually mixed well(music was good). At one point I went up to him to request a song and he responded to me 'What the hell is wrong with you?! Don't you see I'm busy?!'--I was obviously taken back by this behavior and then asked why he responded like that. He snapped back saying 'You come up here wanting a song and you don't even think about tipping me?! You know what you're gone'. He then proceeded to get the bouncer and throw my friend and I out. I am a married guy in my late 30's and have never been treated like that, moreover ever been thrown out of a bar. Management needs to reconsider what kind of outsourcing they are doing. There are plenty of good DJ's that aren't jerkoffs like that guy. read more

I was hopeful to have found a place that serves oyster po'boys, but...it was awful. First, they don't take orders by phone, but assured me it would only take 3 minutes to make??? I went inside to order, no one greeted me or asked if I wanted to order. It's dark, closed in, dingy, full of smoke, and not a single person wearing a mask. The po'boy took 15 minutes to make and although their website says po'boys are $9.99, the menu inside says $13.99 and that's what i was charged. It was by far the worst sandwich, worst take out, and worst po'boy I've ever had in my life. I try not to judge a book by its cover but the food tastes like the place looks and smells. Literally stumbled on this little place on accident! I'm BEYOND ecstatic at how delicious the oysters are!!!! They're also SOOO BIG (that's what she said)!! This is an absolute hidden gem within GA, let alone Kennesaw! If you love good oysters, good prices, AND well priced drinks! This is your place! The atmosphere is extremely laid back and very open! A great dive bar with a very friendly staff. They have live music too!! I'm here just enjoying mid-day me time, and it's awesome!! Keep in mind they're literally just an Oyster bar with a great drink selection. However, you can order some food from the pizza (also good) joint next door. The oysters are PHENOMENAL and the prices are illegal to be that LOW! You can go anywhere in Atlanta and pay 3x for a dozen for nasty oysters but this place!!! Never have I been so moved to leave a negative review until about 15 minutes ago. This is actually my first ever negative review. My girlfriend and I have a combined 11 years of serving / bartending between us. Neither of us have been treated as rudely as we were tonight by Jessica at the main bar. Decided to go out to celebrate my girlfriends birthday, checked TWO different bars, and then decided we wanted to spend the evening at SuBourbon. We walked to the main bar to start a tab, and in a celebratory manor we started with two lemon drop shots. When I ordered them Jessica looked at another employee and loudly said, "I wish everyone who ordered shots on a busy night, could bartend for a night." My girlfriend responded, "excuse me?" Jessica repeated herself and we informed her that we are both bartenders and understand how the industry works.... Now might be the time to mention she literally had three bar guests and maybe two service bar tickets, not what an industry vet would consider "busy." Regardless, she continued to be rude to us without any provocation, sarcastically repeating "happy birthday" to my girlfriend after another employee tried to lighten the mood. I was going to pay for the shots and leave, until she said "I don't need your money." There is never a reason to say that to a guest at your bar, especially one who intends to spend several hours incurring a large tab, and who cares about other folks in the industry. We've been at that bar when it's three rows of patrons deep and had far better service. It's very obvious why Jessica works Monday nights. read more

Live music, oysters, shrimp, great beer. Heaven.! No cover charge and the music has always been pretty good. I have had both the oysters and the shrimp several times and they are always excellent. I really love the shrimp. If you order domestic bottled beer like Bud Light or Yuengling the prices might be a touch high but not for some place with live music and no cover charge. I think most of those bottles are about $4. The real bargain is on the craft draft beer. $5 for a 16 ounce pint of Burnt Hickory Ezekiels Wheel pale ale is a great deal. $5 for a 16oz BHB Big Shanty Graham Cracker Stout is unheard of. Most places for that in a 11 ounce stemware glass for about $7. It is a cool new place that has only been open for a few weeks. I think they have a few speed bumps to work out but all in all it's a cool place to hang out read more

Not sure where to start here. I wanted to like this place so badly. I need a good bar with good drinks, and the style was perfect, I had high hopes. I have been a few times now just to make sure I really didn't like it. Biggest reason for the hate - a smoking section. No matter where you sit in the bar you can smell it, some areas stronger than others of course, but you can tell its there. Also, it isn't enforced very well. While bands are playing I have seen several people migrate into the bar by the doorways with their cigarettes. Just ruins the whole evening when you can't breathe and your clothes stink when you leave. The service however was outstanding. Bar was very crowded and we never lacked a drink in our hands. But I won't be back... I can't handle the smoke, last time it was so bad my eyes were watering. read more

Would have been nice if SuBourbon put a notice on their website that they allow smoking. I looked specifically for that and saw nothing. Or how about someone there answering the phone so I could have asked about smoking before taking the drive. Every single time I tried to call, there was no ring, just an immediate outgoing message asking me if I wanted to pay $2 for the call to go through. We walked in, were slammed with smoke and walked out. That's when we saw the small sign on the front door saying they allow smoking. I should have checked Yelp first.
