I felt like I was not given a good offering from the staff at this sports bar. Last year I paid the…read moreridiculous price to get all the Indianapolis Colts games. This year I didn't want to pay over $200 for the programing. So, I live near Sixers Sports Bar and arrived , 30 minutes before kick off. The place was pretty crowded. There were some seats I was able to find a place to sit down at the bar and it took maybe 20 minutes before I could get anybody to come to that bar and stand behind it and ask me if I wanted a beer or a drink and I ordered a beer so I said I would like to see the Colts against the Baltimore Ravens. Could you bring that up on this TV here in front of me and she had no clue she got the remote control and she was fiddling around with it and she goes. I don't think we have it and I asked her well. Could you get somebody that really knows how to use this equipment and see if they can do better and find the game so she disappears for a while. Another 10 minutes comes by and the game started now and I have my $4.50 draft beer in front of me and some guy fiddles around with it and he goes. No we don't have it. It's not on our system here and I said well. Do you have the ticket he goes? No, we don't have the ticket so they have like DirecTV something like that. But a place that big considers itself a sports bar doesn't have the Indianapolis Colts which is being televised live by CBS Sports in Indianapolis where I was born and raised. So I left and went over to a place that I saw some games last year that for some reason I couldn't get locally and it was modern sports bar on South Tennessee. Guess what? 2 minutes. I was offered a beer 3 minutes. They had the game right in front of me where I was sitting. I was invited to sit down with a Cleveland browns fan who was watching the TV right next to mine and I got to make a new friend which I thought was nice. Now at sixers nobody gave a crap whether I sat with anybody or what you know they had other things to deal with I guess, so I'm not going to give them a real high Mark. In fact, I was really dismayed that they treated me the way they did and couldn't even provide one of the main NFL early 1:00 p.m. games I got it at as much smaller place and a much friendly or crowd.

We had dinner here for our anniversary and were delighted to be seated by the windows, which lent…read moregorgeous views of the golf course greens. For our appetizer, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which had a crumb crust that gave way to the most bewitching layer of bubbly layer underneath. It arrived piping hot with a generous plate of crostini, and by the time we were done, we barely had enough stomach space for the entrees to come. My husband enjoyed his burger well enough, though the accompanying fries were unfortunately cold. I cobbled my entree together by combining a Caesar salad and an appetizer - the burrata caprese and fried green tomatoes. Both were perfectly executed, and the mound of fresh burrata cheese was extraordinarily fresh (perhaps made in-house?). Even though we were here on a quiet weekday night, it seems that reservations are mandatory for all visitors. For larger parties celebrating a special get-together, there is a beautiful screened in porch that seems like it would seat 8-10.

The shining star in this entire restaurant isn't even the food but was the manager Juliette. She was absolutely incredible. She remembered us when we came in the second time and knew exactly what we wanted to order. As a vegetarian she made sure that she accommodated my dietary restrictions and recommended items that she really enjoys and thought would be good for me to try. She went above and beyond to make the experience so special. Vegetarian Recommendations: * Sweet potatoes: these were incredible. They are the perfect combination of crispy and soft while being perfectly seasoned * Fingerling potatoes: these were roasted to absolute perfection * Brussel sprouts: really tasty but it was simply too much on a plate * Fried green tomato: A secretly amazing appetiser without the bacon which has a really lovely and light flavour that made it easy to digest especially with the lemon aioli * Baby beat salad: this is something you absolutely need to get. This salad was light and delicious with the beats

My mother got the pork belly grit bowl, and it is a HUGE portion with tender pork belly, creamy grits and two eggs cooked to your liking. My father and I both ordered the burger rare & medium rare, but they came out medium well. While it was still good, a $17 burger should be cooked to temperature, which is why the food received a 4 star rating; the waitress apologized and offered to have it remade, but I'm the kind of person that does not send food back to the kitchen. I'm a little surprised that a manager didn't come around to check on the table after the feedback was given. Higher end restaurants usually receive a visit from one, and considering the order was a little off, I would think that definitely warrants it. The interior has a very clean and classy look, bright white walls and linen table cloths, decorated with vibrant artwork created by local artists. All in all, we will return if we visit Cartersville again.
