The chef here is trying to get gold stars. That is all you need to know. I recommend everything, but especially the Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, and the burger. Each thing on the menu is a bold take on a traditional dish that generally is excellent. Since I came to Cartersville so much in the past month, I have explored everything that it has had to offer including Table 20. As a vegetarian, to have options that were so considerate was absolutely amazing. The waiters were always great and this place is so popular during the week. I made it very clear to the waiter that I'm vegetarian and he was great about being really honest about what can and can't be made vegetarian from the menu. I came twice and the first time I ordered the tomato bisque with grilled cheese as well as the vegetarian option from the weekly specials. Both were incredible, but I was unable to finish the main after having the bisque which was surprisingly filling. If you're vegetarian in Cartersville, there is always at minimum, one vegetarian option here and they are unusually a unique dish that tastes incredible. I also recommend trying their cream sodas. I don't know if I'd get it again, but it was definitely a lot of fun to try. They are not as fizzy as I expected so be warned, but the taste is delicious. read more

Our first visit to Table 20 was fantastic. We had a Thai-inspired dish that absolutely knocked it out of the park. It was so good that we made a point to come back just two weeks later while we were in Cartersville, hoping to order it again. Unfortunately, the second visit was a completely different experience. We arrived around 5:15 p.m. and were immediately asked if we had a reservation. There were plenty of empty tables, yet the hostess made us feel like showing up without a reservation was somehow an inconvenience. We were eventually seated, but it wasn't exactly a welcoming start. Then came what was easily one of the most obnoxious servers I've ever had. He spent more time delivering awkward, canned one-liners than providing good service. He constantly interrupted our meal with quirky comments that weren't funny or entertaining--they were just distracting. To make matters worse, when we asked about the amazing Thai dish we'd had only two weeks earlier, he told us it had already been removed from the menu. Apparently, rotating menu items this quickly is common here. We ordered two different entrées. One was decent. Mine was terrible. It was another Thai-inspired noodle dish made with sweet potato noodles (if I remember correctly). The presentation looked like dog food, and the noodles were so overcooked they had turned into mush. Between the disappointing food and the overbearing server, it made for a long evening. Our food also took more than 50 minutes to arrive after we were seated. After three visits--only one of which had been genuinely enjoyable--we decided to take a break from Table 20. Then we saw a Facebook post featuring catfish over Gouda grits with what looked like a corn and cabbage topping. It looked incredible, so we decided to give the restaurant one more chance this past Saturday. This time I played it safe and made a reservation. We were seated immediately, and thankfully we had a pleasant, professional server. We ordered the catfish and the Pad Thai with spicy mushrooms. The catfish was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it was underwhelming. A good remoulade or complementary sauce would have gone a long way. The Pad Thai, however, was one of the worst restaurant dishes I've been served in a long time. The mushrooms were burned completely black--crunchy, bitter, and tasting like burnt popcorn. That burnt flavor had spread throughout the entire dish, making it completely inedible. I asked our server if it was supposed to be prepared that way, even though I already knew the answer. She said it didn't look like that when she had tried it previously. She took a few of the mushrooms back to the kitchen to ask the chef. She returned with a small mason jar of freshly cooked mushrooms that were soft and perfectly prepared--but completely unseasoned. Unfortunately, replacing the mushrooms didn't solve the problem because the noodles themselves had already absorbed the overwhelming burnt flavor. I tried eating a few bites but simply couldn't finish it. When I explained that the dish was inedible because of the burned mushrooms, our server handled the situation professionally. She offered a complimentary dessert, a free cocktail, or another entrée to go. I appreciated the effort, but at that point I just wanted an entrée that was cooked correctly the first time. To their credit, they removed the Pad Thai from the bill. I still tipped based on what the full total would have been because none of this was our server's fault. She did everything she could to make things right. What disappointed me most was that neither a manager nor the chef ever came to our table to apologize or even acknowledge what had happened. A dish in that condition should never have left the kitchen in the first place. The lack of quality control--and the lack of management involvement afterward--was honestly more disappointing than the bad meal itself. At this point, we've given Table 20 multiple chances. When the food is good, it's very good. But when it's bad, it's really bad. The inconsistency makes it feel like you're rolling the dice every time you eat there, especially considering the prices. For us, that's enough. We won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Man what a find. Above average experience overall. Came in on a Tuesday night around 7:30. Place was busy but not loud at all. Great acoustics. Service was great. Didn't catch his name but he's been there 2-1/2 years he said. Only knock, had to remind him a couple of times to refill my water. They no longer leave carafes of water on the tables as a regular customer complained it was unsanitary. A shame. They should just wash the carafes after each use. Anyway... I ordered a burger with an extra patty. No bun, with cheese, onions and mushrooms as I recall. Here were the two oddities. The meal was served with a single patty and the second patty came out 5 minutes later. Made me think they forgot. Also, the 2 patties were different. One was cooked perfectly and moist. The second was cooked a bit more (but not terribly more) but was dry. The asparagus was fantastic. I do recommend though. Cool spot. read more

We got the Faroe Islands Salmon (4.5/5) and Crispy Rainbow Trout (4.5/5), which both were outstanding! I primarily ate the salmon. The sunchokes, golden beets, and squash with the salmon were amazing; they melted in your mouth, and the fennel and orange flavors were a nice touch (5/5). The tarragon cream was an excellent sauce; the only reason why I am not giving it a 5 is that the salmon itself was a little plain. The service was good but a little slow (4/5); the guy who brought out our food was really funny! The interior of the restaurant is also pretty nice (4/5). Overall, we are excited to come back and try more items, especially since they have a rotating seasonal menu! I am pretty confident they'll get a 5! read more

Phenomenal. One of the best burgers I've had. You can definitely tell they use a high quality of the meat. Burger sauce has a horseradish flavor that pairs really well. Asked for medium and was cooked to perfection. I had the Cheeto topped mac and cheese with corn and black beans. It sounds crazy but was amazing. Incredibly delicious! I had the fried chicken sandwich (the Cluckin' Good Chicken), upgraded to a club (pickle, onion, bacon, cheese, sambal mayo). It was a huge portion (see photo), and I knew it was going to be a challenge to eat. But it was worth it as the flavors were fantastic and I was bowled over since I mistakenly expected just an ordinary sandwich. And the side of hand-cut fries were prefect: crisp and flavorful. My wife was equally impressed and had the Apple Pie Salad and Pumpkin Soup and found both delicious. Service was good and we never had to wait for drink refills. We had an outstanding experience at Table 20. From the moment we sat down, our waiter Nick went above and beyond. Our son has celiac disease, and Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and proactive, personally making sure everything was clearly communicated with the chefs so we felt completely comfortable and confident. The atmosphere was very relaxed yet attentive we never had to ask for a thing because Nick was always one step ahead and made sure we had everything we needed. On top of that, he took the time to recommend things to do while we're visiting, which was such a thoughtful touch. We don't live in town, but the downtown area is absolutely amazing, and after this experience, we can't wait to explore it more tomorrow in the daylight. We have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed. Tasty meals with fresh ingredients, staff was friendly and efficient, and a nice atmosphere. Great for when you want something a little more upscale/get sick of the chains yet it's priced reasonably. It was a Thursday evening and it was quite busy, but we were able to sit at a table outside with no wait. It was a little hot, but the light breeze was nice. The food was delicious. We had the sourdough molasses toast with honey butter to start and then the Smashburger special (triple pepper) and pesto rigatoni. The thick sourdough bread was hardy, toasted perfectly, and prepared so nicely with the honey butter, which was not overly sweet at all. The sauce on the burger was really good and the fries were seasoned well with salt and pepper. The pesto was buttery and creamy. No complaints at all on the food. Service was solid. The menu appears to be unique and change often, but I cannot imagine anything they offer would not be good. Be aware that if you do sit outside, the train is loud. Very loud. read more

What can I say but disappointed on the wait time (for the food) and obvious frustration on the hostess who kinda helped us get seated. Ok I walked in here with my family. Place was a bit hot, lighting was nice and cosy. Looks like great place for a date, intimate and private vibe. From being seated to when we actually got our food was a 58 min wait for my chicken sandwich, a soup the wife ordered and a little over an 1hr for my son's kids order. The soup was good to be honest but the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through which made a bit hard to fish out. The chicken sandwich was delicious with olt and the spices on it. Fries were just normal. Kids meal nothing special as far as grill chicken and fries. I had high hopes for this place and really wanted to like it. The sandwich and waitress is what really saved it from a one star but the wait time is crazy. The waitress did her best with what she could control. read more

When he returned with drinks we were ready to order both appetizers and dinner and he actually asked us to wait to order dinner. That was kind of strange but we chalked it up to the kitchen was busy. Dinner was a long wait to get but was very good. I wish the menu had described the meal a little better as my chicken marsala was served still on the bone and I don't like to eat chicken on the bone. Husband ordered something that sounded like a burger but ended up being a fancy Philly cheesesteak. Atmosphere was calm and played nice music. We have been there 4 times; once before we moved to Cartersville, twice to spend a rather large gift card bought for us by a relative, and once with a group. Because of the exposure over a full year with only one of our four visits truly voluntary, we are certain it is not for us. Nothing was horrible but nothing was well above average either. Neither my wife or myself cared for the wine selection. The food was just OK, and three of the four visits the service was very slow. We really wanted it to be good but it missed the mark entirely. We may try again later, things change often when staff turns over. For now, it's off our list! I am giving it a 3 star rating. For me to spend that kind of money it needs to be at least a 4.5. read more

I'm a regular here and the staff are wonderful. Limited menu but most of the things on the menu are good. Burgers? The best in the area, actually one of the best burgers I've ever had. ($13-15) Salmon specials? Good too. ($22). Appetizers ($7-11), mixed really, some are good and some I can't even eat. So definitely take recommendations. Deviled eggs are good, avocado bruschetta also good. Soups, depending on the choices they have. I tried the carrot ginger soup (~$6), very creamy, thick but unique and good. I would not recommend anything about this restaurant. $166. 01 for 2 dinks and 2 Ribeyes - of course we were aware this was market price, but the menu stated nothing about it being covered (drowned) in brown gravy, mushrooms and onions. We tried to eat it, but we took it home to the dogs as for the price we paid for it- I was not leaving it there.
