I came to Rome Georgia for a visit. It's vmreakky nice town and the courtyard was every comfortable, upscale, and peaceful. I adore this place they have a restaurant and bar. They offer plenty of parking, outside in front and they have a garage as well. Elevators are available to enter the check in front desk and lounge or you can choose the stairs. They have amenities such as coffee and tea. They also have a refrigerator and safe. It's a comfortable and fun stay. I was very relaxed. read more

If you're looking for a place to stay within walking distance to Rome, GA's downtown, this was an excellent hotel experience. The back door from the lobby opens right up to a bridge across the river and next to The Forum (a convention center / event space) and then next to the main downtown strip (Broad St) with plenty of things to do such as shops, bookstores, and restaurants. Hotel rooms were new, clean, comfortable. TV was a little small but mostly full cable selection, ability to watch YouTube, HBO and HBO MAX for free, login required for Netflix and Amazon prime video. Hotel offered parking for free, has a deck attached and outside parking as well. Cannot speak to the food options - did not order or eat anything at the hotel restaurant. Of note: parking in front goes into a lobby, stairs or elevator up to the next floor is required for the main lobby to check in. It was a bit confusing coming in figuring out where to go. Negatives: surrounding area is mostly construction sites for now, so the view out of the window was just a construction zone. I'm sure it would look much better after the construction is completed. read more

I have stayed here several times over the course of 2024. On this visit, I found on my bill a $10 per day parking charge. They have never charged parking before, as the hotel is in a small town with no parking issues. No one told me about the charge when I checked in or when I booked online. I have called three times to try to get it removed and nothing has happened. The last time I called I was told that there were no managers on duty at all this week (I called Dec 23) because of Christmas. How can you operate a hotel with no managers? I am so disappointed, as we have always stayed here. We are going to Rome again tomorrow and while we would have booked the Marriott again, we are now going to the Holiday Inn Express for tomorrow and all subsequent trips to Rome. read more

Nicer than other Marriotts I've been too. Rooms are all very similar but the bathrooms here I found are brighter and better configured. The attached Riverwalk is very convenient when wanting to sample local fare. The only downside was that I requested the room to be replenished and trash emptied daily and that did not happen. Typically wouldn't be a huge issue but my stay was for four days. Also, make sure you ask to be Riverside otherwise you'll at times feel like you're sitting in the middle of the stadium across the street, lol. read more

Newer property and located within an easy walk of downtown where shopping and numerous restaurants are located. Arrival and check-in was smooth and friendly, room was clean and nicely appointed. If I have one complaint...the water pressure was horrible. They have a Starbucks in the lobby so you can get your morning caffeine fix and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the river. I watched these starlings flittering about the bridge as I enjoyed my morning brew. There is a nice riverside walking trail that looks to offer a long path to enjoy the quite nature of this town. Seriously...this is a really nice property in a great location and is also pet friendly. If you're looking for a quiet property...this one fits the bill easily! read more

Nice hotel. Great location. If you walk out the back door to the patio there is a bridge over the Oostanaula river that goes directly to downtown. The room was clean. The hotel is undergoing some repairs due to a pipe break, but nothing that affected our stay. They had a live band on the back patio which is very nice because the weather is getting better. In addition to little bottles of shampoo and conditioner a hotel normally offers, they have larger bottles attached inside the shower, which is much more convenient to use. Beware, beer at the bistro is $6 a pop! read more

We had a nice stay here. It's very clean, staff were efficient, and the room was comfortable. Tables out on the patio were great for dining. It was also nice to be able to walk from the rear of the hotel along the river a bit. I was a bit surprised there were no complimentary bottles of water even for top loyalty status members, and that I was charged parking. Not the end of the world, and the positives far outweigh these small details. read more

Stayed here for one night on business. Very nice hotel. I have stayed at over 50 Courtyards. The setting is awesome with the boardwalk over to the river. The hotel was clean and quiet. The GM John was more than gracious upon check in. The persons at the bistro were very friendly and customer service oriented. This should be a destination hotel not a stop over! read more

We are Bonvoy members and have been on the road from South Florida, making our way towards family in Rome, GA for thanksgiving who, themselves, are Marriott Resort owners and recommended this hotel. We've been staying at different places along our travels and were excited to arrive as Bonvoy members. As a front desk/customer service person, I would have never given a family an unprepared room. At a glance, the room is spacious but it lacked the simple, matter of fact, amnentties that come with your stay. Our reservation was for a family of 4. We walked in late to discover there aren't enough towels. Once that was resolved, we noticed as we prepared for bed that the bath wash dispenser is completely empty. My husband calls and someone arrived with several small bath wash bottles and informed us that they are no longer using the dispensers in the shower. So why not have the shower gels there for us to use? On our departure date, we were headed back to Florida and were up very early getting ready. It was only then we discovered that our room had only half a full roll of toilet tissue and there was no other roll. My husband was irate by this point. When they delivered the rolls, it was almost as if we were inconveniencing them. I spoke to Kelsey on the phone regarding a question on our bill and she was so cold and rude. I ask why? The hotel is lovely and the grounds as great to enjoy but I doubt I'd recommend it to anyone in my family based on our experience. read more

Just had my second stay. While the hotel is modern & in a great location, the housekeeping is abysmal. Had to ask for it and they finally came and brought towels but did not leave coffee, coffee cups or regular cups. The shower had black mold in it. See picture. The orher picture is the sink AFTER they cleaned it. Last time there was pink mold in the shower. The lobby is cute with a nice little cafe but not up to Marriott standards. read more

This courtyard is in a great location and the rooms are very modern with large showers and no tubs. I would stay here every time I come to Rome going foreward. You can walk out of the hotel right at the bridge to cross to downtown and broad st with tons of restaraunts to try something different each night. They also have covered parking under the hotel which is nice to keep you out of the rain. read more

A nice hotel convenient to downtown Rome. Walkable to shops and dining. Our room had a beautiful view of the river. Will was our bartender at the hotel bar. Very personable and I was touched he remembered us the second evening. We had a large group and Barbara, the manager, was able to accommodate all our needs. And loved the Starbucks! The ladies working every morning we're pleasant and fast with our coffee orders. Highly recommend this hotel! read more

This is easily the most disgusting Marriott property I've ever visited. The bathroom has pubic hair all over it . I have had the same room multiple times and the same piece of garbage has been behind the toilet every time . The staff are unhelpful, can't even give you a garbage bag , and all the night staff does is sit and watch tv all night . I have no experience with the hotel rooms, but the restaurant was terrible. Overcooked, bland, and not at all what was advertised for their Valentine's Day dinner. The service was lacking. The kitchen had obviously run out of food and was scrambling to fill in with what they could find in the fridge. Both of our meals were just bad. The only good things were the rolls (which we had to ask our waitress for after we realized our entrees were so disappointing) and the tiramisu (though that was served on a hot plate with melted gelato). We made it clear we were unhappy, but our waitress just shrugged apologetically. We would absolutely not go back. read more

They only provide maid service twice a week. We didn't get it. We had to go to the front desk, because they wouldn't answer when we called, to get a trash bag and clean towels. We cleaned the room ourselves, not something one would expect from a Marriott property. Would not recommend. read more

The staff here is amazing. We were upgraded in our room and we were traveling with our 9 month old daughter. They made sure we had everything we needed. Very kind and understanding. We even got late checkout for no fee which helped us tremendously with our daughter. Will always recommend this hotel to my friend and family traveling. read more

The service at this hotel truly went above and beyond for us. One of our kids lost her beloved stuffed animal. The hotel staff searched the room multiple times before they found it. They even then sent pictures of the dog "helping" at the front desk and "enjoying" a Starbucks coffee. read more

The hotel rooms are hotel rooms... the reactant/bistro is something to avoid. The food was old, cold, dirty, etc. Give me the free thawed breakfast at Hampton any day... any you don't pay $11 for it. Marriott Rome, you can't charge for professionally cooked meals and serve what was on my plate. I discretely offered feedback and did not ask for my money back... and even that was handled wrong. read more
