Hilton Hotel Feedback (04-29-2025)…read more This Hampton Inn hotel met my requirements for this business trip. However, this Hampton Inn, as well as two others in the Kennesaw GA and Cartersville GA areas, are showing a very disturbing renovation trend: the removal of the Guest Laundry Facilities. The information that I received from a "live" hotel manager is as follows: Hilton Hotels' Hampton Inns are removing Guest Laundry Facilities because Hilton Hotels wants Hampton Inns to cater to short-stay guests whom they assume will not miss the Guest Laundry Facilities. Other Hilton brand hotels like Hilton Garden, Homewood Suites, Doubletree, Home2, etc. will cater to long-stay guests and will retain the Guest Laundry Facilities. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SHORT-SIGHTED AND VERY BAD IDEA. --- Even short-stay guests need to know that there is a convenient, on-site Guest Laundry solution for: dirty travel clothes from long road trips or family vacations, sweaty exercise clothes from the on-site fitness room, wet soaked chlorine-smelling swimwear from the on-site pool/jacuzzi, and those unexpected food accidents OR bathroom (#2 or "pee") accidents!! --- Each of these three Hampton Inns are in the state of Georgia. However, for my next business trip (to another state), I have already requested a non-Hilton brand hotel, because my preferred Hampton Inns in this other state do not list Guest Laundry Facilities under "Amenities" on both the Hilton mobile app & on the main Hilton web site links. --- My strong, common-sense Recommendation: RESTORE & RETAIN Guest Laundry Facilities for ALL Hilton brand hotels. --- OR ELSE: Loyal Hampton Inn Business & Leisure Travelers will likely choose to avoid the risk of staying at a hotel that may not have on-site Guest Laundry Facilities. --- For "US" Business & Leisure travelers, we do not mind paying an extra $5-$10 dollars per night to cover the cost of having on-site Guest Laundry. To us, it is like "laundry insurance" that some of us hope we will never need. AND ... just one more thing ... (as Columbo use to say) ... This Hampton Inn did NOT even have a plastic laundry bag & laundry send-out paper form to fill out ... for sending dirty laundry outside for cleaning! --- These plastic bags & laundry order forms are traditionally hanging in the closet, and are clipped to one of the clothes hangars. --- Closing Remarks: It is already bad enough that so many Hampton Inn hotels in many states have renovated their rooms ... replacing chest of drawers with metal wire shelves; replacing traditional nightstands with hanging shelves w/o drawers; replacing customer-friendly clock radios with non-adjustable alarm clocks; and installing bathroom sinks with faucets on the left or right side, instead of keeping the faucet in the center of the sink. PLEASE do not compound these short-sighted renovation/policy changes with the imposition of "traveler anxiety" about "what may be missing" from the next Hampton Inn that "US" business & leisure guests have to choose. . Please Communicate this Feedback all the way up your managements' chain of command. . Thank You For Your Attention to my Feedback & to my Comments. . Sincerely, . A long-time Silver & occasional Diamond Member Hotel Guest. .

However, the room was very unimpressive (3 stars?) with single ply toilet paper ! we ate at the Woodlands grill which is overpriced, with a very limited menu & a mediocre meal. We went to a concert there so ate an early dinner, after went to the Biergarten for a drink & a snack. got an expensive drink but zero snacks. Geesh, sell peanuts or chips for hungry folks late evening. The whole place seemed so overpriced without the value. Won't be going back!

Oh, feral cats living under my porch, fed by an employee two buildings down at the Town Hall. Calling and visiting the front desk, they were friendly and apologetic and sent bottles of wine, but wine does not stop mosquitos biting. "Engineering" never showed up, I presume because they don't exist. 12th consecutive year here for an annual golf tournament. Something has changed and their room care has plunged. Literally an insect infested room with no response beyond "here is some wine and we're oh so sorry". If you come here, bring Deet to spray on your body and bug killer to spray around the perimeter of the floors. Oh, mosquitos on the toilet as well. Gym weight equipment was essentially non-functional as all thepoarts had loose bolts and pulley/cable links broken. Barnsley has started to become a dump. I'd bet Private Equity now owns some or all of it and has pulled their usual "strip away expenses and maintenance and no one will notice", as decided by a 24 year old finance major. Yeah, people notice. I wont come back.

We stayed in Gen. Corse's Suite which had a super comfortable king size bed, a giant jacuzzi garden tub, heated bathroom tile floor, television, and more. There were so many thoughtful touches, like handcut flowers in a vase, a personalized note from the owner greeting us with our keys, corkscrew, ice bucket, and wine glasses. We had the privilege of speaking with Lynn, the owner, and she was so helpful and friendly. The inn was clean and beautifully decorated. Everything is within convenient driving distance. We will definitely visit again!

The location canNOT be beat - right across from the lake with great access to hiking trails and fishing holes. Even just walking and "setting" along the dam was so nice and breezy. Porch setting with a great view of the lake was relaxing. The beds are comfortable (if a bit high for this 5'3" short-legged lady) and the homemade quiche for breakfast was super creamy, with some berries for extra fiber. The owners served breakfast and though did *NOT* REQUIRE masks for Covid protection, they did wear masks and also showed off their extra-disinfectant machine and other anti-Covid preparations that they were taking. VERY affordable for us ~ $130+taxes and fees for 1 Friday night during Covid, I'm not sure if that was a lower price due to quarantine but it was a definite value from our perspective. I highly recommend this stop to people who want to spend time in Cartersville or at Lake Allatoona or are just passing through and want a non-hotel experience - you will love it!!
