Awful service, crappy cars Purcahsed a Soul from Tom Dolan in September 2025. The dealership provided a report showing the enging in excellent working condition. I checked the carfax and for any open recalls or suits with the model. These were all clean. In less than six months/15,000 miles of driving the engine spontanesously quit. Two seperate mechanics confirmed there were no oil leaks, no sign of buring oil near the exhaust pipe. There was no reason the car should have gone from a full oil compartmetn to dry in less than 2 weeks. Engine is a complete loss. Overall, the service center is pretty good, very professional, customer service is excellent, and the expected upselling from service advisors is minimal compared to most. Extremely Disappointed with Tom Dolan's Kia Reno and Kia's Customer Service I purchased a brand new 2025 Kia Sorento and within just two months, the vehicle overheated. The cause? A rock had penetrated the radiator, causing the coolant to leak everywhere. I had to have the car towed to Tom Dolan's Kia Reno. I own a 2018 Kia Rio. Great car however on the 19th of Dec I had an engine problem. The car began bucking and the check engine light came on. I just happened to be near Dolans Kia on Virginia St in Reno. I pulled in near the service area and went inside. I was met by a male and a female sitting behind computer screens. I told them about my situation and all they could say was "GET IN LINE." I was the only one there. My husband and I purchased our Kia Forte in 2021. The staff was courteous and attentive. We were allowed to test drive the car and then we discussed financing. We felt we received an excellent deal and that the staff was upfront and honest (we did our own research as well). They also gave us a discount as my husband is a military veteran. We also opted for the prepaid maintenance (oil change, inspection, and tire rotation for an additional $26 per month on our car payment)...more on that later. While we were completing the paperwork, my blood sugar was low. I commented to my husband that I needed to find some sugar. Instantly the Finance Manager offered me a candy bar free of charge. Turns out they have free snacks and drinks for their customers purchasing cars or waiting for their cars to be serviced. It was a nice touch. Each time I have brought the car in for service the staff has always been very nice. My only complaint is that even if you make an appointment and they give you a time when it will be ready, the car is rarely ready on time. It makes it hard to schedule your day around a car maintenance appointment. This last time I arrived a few minutes before my 7:00am maintenance appointment. I was promptly greeted and checked in by Aaron. He made the process easy and efficient. I made a complimentary cup of coffee then the shuttle driver arrived to give me a ride to work. I dropped the car off and was at work by 7:30am! I was told the car would be ready by 8:30am, but it was closer to 10:00am when I received the notification that my car was ready for pick-up. It wasn't a big deal because I was working, but just a heads up for those dropping off their cars for service. The shuttle driver, Dan, was very personable and gave me his business card to call him directly when I was ready to pick-up my car. He picked me up within 20 minutes of my call, I was checked out quickly (no charge as maintenance was prepaid plus a free car wash), and I was on my way. Called today 12/7/23 for a recall and my check engine light. The service department representative said the first diagnostic appointment available is in March. I said my check engine light is on and you cannot get me in until March even though all you have to do is plug it into the computer which takes less than a minute? She said that's correct. I called the factory and they said there is nothing they can do. The next closest Kia dealership is Roseville. Buyer be weary of Kia in this area. If there is a problem, the dealership is not willing to get you in a reasonable amount of time even though they would schedule a service for next week. I have owned four Kia's. I took my Kia in to get serviced for several recalls. The trim above one of my windows was slightly loose which I mentioned to the person who checked me in. When I picked up my car I noticed the following day that the trim was missing. They did hand wash my car with a brush after servicing it so I suspect the trim got broken off while it was being washed. When I asked about it, I was told that no trim was found and that it probably fell off somewhere on the road. I highly doubt that was the case because the trim was still attached pretty securely. I'm also disappointed that they don't return calls very well. What's the point in giving me their phone for questions if they don't call back. I was considering buying another Kia specifically a sportage from there but now I think I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

Everything was professional and friendly and not too pushy , I thought there was a good vibe down there with a few of the young guys working at the dealership. We were new to the Kia brand and I found out about the Kia Stinger GT2 and wanted one and Pasha kept in touch with me and basically reserved one for me......... a couple months later he called me and told me my car had come in and we bought our second car from Tom Dolan Kia in 3 months. Both times we dealt with the same guy in the finance department (can't remember his name) but he was really personable as well , we were talking football both times I was in there and I felt like I bought both cars from a couple friends of mine, nice to see young men with enough personality to engage customers and be genuine and while focused on doing their job be able to make people like them and have fun doing what they do. Most dealership experiences I've had in the past were all business and forgettable as far as the people were concerned, if I bumped into theses guys around town I would definitely shake their hands and be happy to see them. Let me start by saying I'm a first-time car buyer, and I had researched for the last two weeks through varying car sites. I wondered over buying used vs. new, and what was important to me in a car. I went to several dealerships in the Reno area until finally my family and I made our way to Dolan. We wanted to look at a 2018 Kia Forte. Ben rushed over when we first pulled up. He's incredible, bordering on godlike. You know, like those people that you're friends tell you'll get along with right away, yeah Ben fits every checkbox of being a remarkable human being. He immediately grabbed the car so that I could test drive it. Let me say this about Dolan; they have an excellent course for test driving. It felt like I was in a commercial. Ben killed it. He answered all my questions (which were weird), and I fell in love with the car almost immediately. Ben has a great balance in between being a car salesperson and someone who also knows which cars would fit the consumer. He supplied us with information based on what he looked for in a car and didn't look too scared when I took a turn too hard. Overall the difference between him and everyone else we had seen earlier that day was he was genuine. My family decided to think about it and left. I wanted to pick up my sister to get her in my final two cars. We decided to go back to Dolan. First, Ben once again rushed over, he got everything ready so that we could take another drive with my sister. It was another fantastic test drive, and I was prepared to talk about taking my Kia home with me. Ben made the process easy. Who knew filling out files could be fun, overall it was a painless process since Ben is very engaging. At closing time we got to see Baylee for financing, he is just as passionate about the consumer as Ben is. Baylee wrapped us up letting us look at possible add-ons, and we got some additional insurance on our electronics which lowered our interest 3 percent, he's wicked good. I can't praise them enough, nothing was more satisfying than seeing my mom wrestle with insurance and crunching numbers to finally going outside and seeing that ridiculously large bow on my car.
