Delicious food and very filling! Awesome customer service. The owner is so kind and the crew knows their stuff!

My server was Chloe Cobb she was a really good server accept for that one time she didn't give me a axolotl in adopt me but the food was really good and she was a really good server the reason it four star was because the food was really good read more

Hands down one of my favorite fast casual Asian places. I just wish it was closer to us! They have made to order teriyaki bowls that are so good and fresh, the only downside is if you get there during the lunch or dinner rush and have to wait a bit for the rest of the orders. We've had the steak, shrimp, chicken, katsu, and everything is so delicious that I can order my kids full sizes and they'll eat it all. You can choose from white rice, brown rice, or fried rice, or even get noodles. read more

I would describe the food as "just alright". Sadly it was pretty underwhelming even for fast casual. I ordered the chicken katsu with noodles. The noodles were fairly dry and so was the chicken. The restaurant itself was clean and had plenty of seating and the service was good. read more

I've been to this new gem several times and the food is hot, fresh, and delicious. I love teriyaki chicken and soba and this place hits the spot especially in Utah where food can be very mid and pricey! Very clean and easy to order. Provides plenty of sauce and get the fried egg! Yum yum! read more

Nice fast food spot with super tasty oriental food. The tofu bowl with noodles and the veggie spring rolls were excellent. Super helpful folks stacked hot sauces with my order cos I like my food super spicy!! Fast service, reasonable prices and great quality food!! Nice clean restaurant too. Thanks for the great dinner!! read more

Basic teriyaki bowl place. I like that they grill the meat up to order. I got noodles with shrimp and added extra steak. It was heavy on the teriyaki sauce, a little too sweet for my taste. Decent food and pricing. Casual counter service. read more

Great food and great service. I had a very large pick up order and it was ready when I arrived. I received every single item I ordered. One of the cashiers was very helpful and helped me get all the food out to my car. I love how they cook all the orders right there so you can see your food being cooked. The restaurant is very tiny but they do an awesome job at maintaining the kitchen, it appears, and getting everyone's food out to them in a timely manner. I ordered a half bowl with half chicken and steak with jalapeños, extra veggies, brown rice, and noodles. I loved the teriyaki sauce and the chili sauce on top of my bowl. The steak was my favorite over the chicken. I would definitely order the steak bowl with jalapeños, extra veggies, brown rice, and noodles again. I woke up the next day actually craving it. I will definitely be back. read more

Not good at all. I got the shrimp and they're like deep fried breaded dollar store shrimp. They were mushy and place was gross. You get "vegetables" which consists of one carrot and one piece of broccoli. There is much better teriyaki in the area read more

Great customer service!!! Our bowls were delicious! We got chicken and next time I want to try the steak! Also got coconut shrimp and it was really good! We'll be back. read more

Excellent food! Ordered the chicken Teriyaki bowl with noodles and was amazed with the amount of food they provide. I removed it from the bowl and it filled an entire dinner plate. Plenty of meat, would like to see a few more vegitables, but that is not a game breaker. I also ordered the vegitable eggrolls which were also great. The sweet and sour dipping sauce for the eggroll was okay, a lttle bit too sweet and could have had more snap to it (vinegar). Overall the food was a 5 star experience! read more

Well prepared food service. Katsu Chicken Sandwhich had a nice crisp breading. Yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce at your leisure. The Katsu retained its moisture. I liked the slaw they added onto the chicken. Finished with some nice Matcha and Mango Mochi with a cherry and whip cream on top. I'll be back. #tokyoteriyakiutah read more

I ordered it out for delivery. The steak and the combo, chicken shrimp, and steak was inedible. All you could do is chew it and then spit it out. I was supposed to have an order of fried rice and they sent white rice. I'll try another place next time . read more

Food is great! Staff is friendly. This is our go-to for Asian cuisine. Their cream cheese wontons are the best! We can never just order 1. Ordered 4 orders of this but couldn't make the photo because we already started eating it. Meat is cooked well. Never had any issues or complaints eating here. Tokyo Teriyaki - Chicken and Shrimp Bowl, 4 Cream Cheese Wontons - Fast Food Near Me - Midvale, Utah

Food was bland. The strawberry lemonade tasted like it had been there for a month. Tasted like rotten strawberries. The fried rice tasted like white rice with vegetables in it. The karaage chicken was dry and had no flavor I had to douse it in the teriyaki sauce and still could hardly eat it. This is the furthest from Japanese food I've ever had. I joked to my husband we were actually going to Arby's and after eating there I wish I wasn't joking. read more

This spot is out of my way but I play golf nearby so lucky for me I get to have lunch here today. As soon as I walk in I can smell the delicious food being prepared on the grill. All the various proteins and tofu (chicken, shrimp, steak, tofu, shrimp ,salmon and Buddha (cabbage, carrots and broccoli... I know, not a protein). You can have them served on a variety of carbs... white, brown amd fried rice, noodles or vegetables (cabbage and carrots). Sized as Half and Full. I ordered a full steak on fried rice for $13.50 ( combo comes with miso soup amd a fountain soda) pot stickers (4 for $3.50), sesame balls with red bean (4 for $3.50), I know, it's a lot of food but I had a review to write. First bite... sesame balls with red bean! Careful, they are warm and love the glutenous chew, texture and sweetness from the red bean. I'd order these again. The pot stickers were next. Perfectly fried with a very good filling of chicken amd ginger. The dipping sauce is soy sauce with rice vinegar. Yes, fresh, hot and very tasty. I would never grow tired of them. Very good. The steak bowl is served hot off the grill and so good with the tender well seasoned grilled steak and veggies on a bed of friend rice. I should hace gotten a spoon. I couldn't get enough of it with the chopsticks They have yum yum sauce, red chili sauce, sriracha and teriyaki sauce to go. They also have jelly drinks in the side fridge. Yea, this is a very satisfying meal and the staff is very considerate and helpful. I like this place a lot. Come support your local small businesses. Let's gooo read more

Food was tasty, but a little pricy. We enjoyed our bowls - beef & shrimp, spam & eggs. Quite fresh, hot, & tasty. Also enjoyed the sesame balls. Counter staff were friendly. Ambiance was casual, clean - pickup, to-go, short seating type of vibe. read more

The food here is terrible. Got it to go, took one bite, and threw it in the trash. We ordered the steak, chicken, & shrimp bowl expecting it taste like an average rice bowl. It was the worst rice bowl I've ever had from anywhere, I would give it 0 stars if I could. It tasted like the meat & sauce were old. Normally teriyaki sauce is sweet, but this sauce had an odd salty taste to it. It tasted the way that a hamsters cage smells. I agree with a previous review, just go to Arby's next door. read more

The staff members were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and bright. I loved the little plants at each of the tables. The food was also good. I will say it was lacking flavor in my opinion, but it was still good. You're going to want multiple teriyaki cups if you're getting it to go. The bottles of teriyaki sauce at each table is very handy if you're planning on dining in. read more

Tokyo Teriyaki - Chicken and Shrimp Bowl - Fast Food Near Me - Midvale, Utah

Pretty straight forward situation here. They have a limited menu, primarily Teriyaki Bowls. You can have chicken, steak, shrimp, tofu, salmon or just veggies, which they call Buddha. If you want to have a "combo" of those items you'll pay a bit more than any of them individually. I got Steak with Fried Rice and included the veggies. It was good, basic Teriyaki Bowl. The "fried rice" is not what you'd get in a Chinese restaurant, it's just a very basic white rice that has been fried, no extra ingredients like egg, ham carrots, peas or any of that, just fried white rice. They do cook the meat to order, so expect a short wait for fresh food. Biggest issue for me is that Umai Japanese is just across the street, their Teriyaki is just as good, and they also have Sushi options. Nothing wrong with picking either one if you just want a little Teriyaki but Tokyo doesn't have the creamy white sauce and Umai does. read more

I came here with a friend who recommended I give it a try. I got the combo bowl with steak and chicken, mixing both rice and noodles. It took a bit to come out, but it was only because it was being made fresh to order. I really appreciated that and the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I also recommend trying the yum yum sauce they have on hand. Additional pro tip - add the egg! It was well worth it and added to mix of flavors. read more

Sometimes, you just need some comfort food. Teriyaki is one of mine. In Seattle, Teriyaki spots are everywhere. In Utah, they're few and far between. Luckily, Tokyo Teriyaki is nearby, in Midvale, UT (one of their newer locations) and offers big helpings! We got a couple of the half portions, of shrimp and steak, miso and some cream cheese wontons. It was delicious! Go check them out! You get a lot of food, for what you pay for. If you want to try a few things, the combo bowls, are the way to go. It's also fun to watch them cook! Their cream cheese wontons are nothing to brag about, but their miso was good. Request: Please provide more shrimp, in the combo bowls. Thank you! read more

Sometimes you're just craving a good teriyaki chicken bowl and this place hits the spot. It's not the most authentic Japanese food but it's a fun and filling fast food teriyaki joint. My kids loved it and the menu is simple and straightforward. The owner is attentive and talkative, and she was glad our kids were polite and we cleaned up after ourselves. I'd probably get takeout here next time but they do have some tables to eat there. Very popular at lunchtime. read more

I noticed there aren't that many Teriyaki bowl shops in UT. I came across Tokyo Teriyaki on instagram and decided to give them a try. Their prices went up (I took a photo of the new menu). Overall though their portions are generous and well worth the price compared to other places in UT I have been to. I like that they don't skimp on the protein because most places will cheap out on that. They made a mistake on one of the bowls I ordered and when I went back in, the manager was really friendly and immediately made the correct order for me while still letting me keep the wrong order. The beef is a little on the fatty side, but their shrimp and chicken are good. Will come again on days I am lazy to meal prep read more

Excellent food. We loved that the meat was made fresh to order. We ordered the steak and chicken combo with brown rice and got an order of pot stickers. First off, the pot stickers were some of the best. Perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp on the outside and a fair amount of filling on the inside. The pot sticker dipping sauce was also delicious. We would order these again and again. The chicken and steak were delicious. Of the two, we preferred the steak as it just had more flavor--fat adds flavor. The brown rice was also very good and better than most restaurants. Generally, it seems like most restaurants don't invest the right amount of time to get their brown rice right. They try to cook it like white rice and it will come out too crunchy. Not here! The brown rice was cooked to perfection. read more

Not bad. I enjoy chicken teriyaki and search it out at food courts and stand alone spots. I came in during their second or so week open. I went with the full sized chicken teriyaki bowl. The chicken was good but some pieces had been cooked a bit too long. Instead of crispy on the outside and tender in the middle they were cooked crispy throughout. The teriyaki sauce was a bit more gravy like than I am used to. Definitely less soy than your typical mall teriyaki. Not bad though. Portions were OK. I didn't find the full sized bowl very filling I suppose. Service was friendly and prompt. One thing I really dislike is the POS system they use. You know the kind with screen that asks for a tip at the time of purchase. I read another yelper describe it correctly, "tip shaming". I haven't even received my food or finished my meal and you want a tip? Lame. read more

No real disappoints here. I wanted teriyaki and Panda Express was not an option I wanted to explore. The food is cooked fresh right in front of you. All the flavors are there, good portion sizes, and quality product. The service was not super fast, but yeah it's fresh so I was good with a short wait. read more

Tasty relatively healthy fast food option. I had a half bowl with brown rice and shrimp. The shrimp was tender and not skimpy, about 10 pieces. They also have tofu as a protein option. Very lightly seasoned with a light sauce. You can add your own teriyaki and soy sauce. Bowl and soft drink a little over $10. Would come again. read more

Horrible! Buy a frozen Japanese meal in the freezer section. You'll be happier. I keep asking myself why I just didn't drive 100 yards further to the Arby's drive through. Unless you enjoy poorly flavored steak and average noodles and a teriyaki sauce that is pathetic. Two tiny meals for $32. Still kicking myself. read more
