Edamame was overcooked and dry falling apart. Roll I've always loved not even close to original :((('( so much overcooked rice and rolls loose & too big. Unfortunately, I won't be back. Service from main waitress annoyed & barely a smile ... as usual. @ least the sushi used to be good ! Broken, ripped seats no great ambiance

Idk what went down with this order, if the chef was in a mood, but the lack of care is wild. Not to mention seeing tobiko bits on my roll (after mentioning I have a shell fish allergy, so usually that requires more intentional prep and serving) and not sure that really was taken into consideration? Update: Tried it and there were fish bones in my roles lol Trashed it cause didn't want to take the chance of getting sick

Teriyaki chicken sushi!

We arrived shortly after 4pm today thinking we would have plenty of time to get to a 5:30pm game at Simpson University. When we arrived we were the only table seated in the other room. After ordering 10 minutes later the waitress tells us that you're out of Sesame Chicken and sold the last one an hour. The waitress didn't know that when we placed our order? How do you run out of Sesame chicken? I ordered chicken teriyaki sushi on the regular menu and they looked like appetizers, barely had any rice. They were sooo tiny! When we were leaving we noticed other sushi's were of "normal" size not where you could put the entire sushi in your mouth! Very disappointing as our friends had high recommendations!

Special roll the Zig zag.

Service was friendly and welcoming. The food is mediocre, but still good. The ambiance was alright, but there were some loud customers. Overall okay place.

After a wait that seemed like an eternity (despite talking to staff twice) we got the worst Japanese food we have had in years.

We ordered from the Lunch Special menu, which was from 11AM to 3PM everyday. The entrees came with Soup of the Day, Egg Roll, and either Steamed Rice, Pork Fried Rice, or Chicken Chow Mein. We ordered the Chicken with Snow Peas with Steamed Rice for $11.75, Vegetable Bean Curd with Steamed Rice for $11.55, and Beef with Oyster Sauce with Chicken Chow Mein for $12.55. The Soup of the Day was Hot & Sour Soup. The soup was really good, delicious, and not spicy at all. The Egg Rolls were crispy and too oily. The dipping sauce for the egg rolls was good. All the dishes were descent, but way too salty. We were told you can request the dishes to be light on the salt. We wouldn't mind returning next time as the flavors were good, but we would request the dishes be less salty.

Let me tell you!!! As someone who lives in the Bay Area, I get real excited when I see good prices like here, especially from Asian restaurants where normally every entree other than an appetizer is about $15-$17. You can't find good chow mein for under that price where I live in San Jose. This restaurant was fresh and delicious, flavorful and overall everything you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. The place overall is quiet and soothing, a nice atmosphere to just sit and have a decent meal in peace. They even got some classical music playing subtly in the background, like a spa. The staff are very polite and welcoming, mostly women in the front, very kind and sweet. They smile a lot and refilled our drinks without us asking. Everything we had ordered was splendid. Chow mein was firm, not soggy, sauce stuck into the noodle, full of flavor, didn't even need to add soy sauce. Had a nice "wok hei" flavor to it too, for those that don't know it basically means savory and smoky like how Chinese food should taste. Garlic chicken was delicious and not too spicy at all, just some chili flakes. It didn't really have a garlicky flavor but more of a sweet, sour and mild kind of flavor. Great portions and a nice balance of veggies, sauce and meat. Nothing here tasted bland. The broth of the sizzling rice was perfect, not too salty and for once they actually put the toasted rice on the side so it doesn't get too soggy within the soup. I love this place, if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely be back, maybe even during the night when the bar is open. I've never been to a Chinese restaurant that had an open bar and tv which I thought was pretty classic. They closed my favorite local Chinese spot in my neighborhood and I've been all over the bay but this place up in Redding is the closest to it, very happy we came across this on yelp. It was worth turning around 10 minutes just to try it. We had ordered the lunch special (11am to 3pm) combo plate with chicken chow mein, chicken with garlic sauce, it came with an egg roll and your choice of egg flour or sweet and sour soup. My hubby got shrimp fried rice and I had ordered the sizzling rice soup because I came across another review that said it was the best they've ever tried. I had to get me some, it's a childhood classic for me and I agree it's the best. Also we only paid $41 plus tip for a lotta food. I rate this place 12/10!

The restaurant closes 9 PM and we were lucky enough to reach before that as we entered. The ambience was amazing. The hotel was quite big enough and the sitting area was also very pretty. Me and my daughter and my husband selected up place. We ordered a dinner plate unknowing of the fact both the quantity of the food and as we were hungry enough so we ordered one plate of kung pao chicken, which comes with egg drop soup and one egg roll along with a plate of half chicken needles, half pork fried rice or boiled rice, optional along with the compound chicken and we ordered another plate of sweet-and-sour chicken along with the same combination of fried rice or white rice and half chicken noodles along with a soup and one roll and my daughter ordered a plate of chicken noodle noodles. The food was served within five minutes and seeing the quantity we got scared because it was huge. I would recommend you if you are with a kid or if you are three people please go for two plates as it's really huge amount of quantity we couldn't finish it at all. We had to box it and when we really ordered three box Ambience was really quiet. And I really like the service as they were gentle and friendly.

There are plenty of parking in this shopping center. The restaurant is very clean and airy, quite a huge place. The price is very reasonable for all the foods that they have. There is everything for any taste, it's like the Newark Buffet near our home. We got the senior discount automatically which was nice, enough for 2 drinks. The soup bar is excellent, seafood soup, hot and sour, wonton soup they're all good. The sushi bar has all the pre-made sushi which are ok. Every buffet, I would try every dish a little to see what I like, I did like the chicken wings, the scallops, salt and pepper shrimps, actually, all the fried dishes are great, hot and tasty. The hot foods come out very quickly as soon as the trays look low on food. I tried all the soups and they're quite delicious. The service is very attentive and quick for a buffet restaurant, everyone is quite pleasant. The dessert and salad bar are plentiful with fresh produce, jello and I love the almond cookies and coffee cakes. It was a hearty meal for us after a long day hiking in the Burney Falls loop. To pay him back I asked him where he wanted to go for lunch, he said that Chinese buffet. OK, I know what place he's talkin about, the Grand Buffet, On Hilltop Drive just off the 5 off of East Cypress exit. East to find and lots of parking. Looks like it's been over 2 years since I was here. The price for lunch now is $17 bucks plus tax and some tip. We get there and the place looks about the same as the last time I was here. They have these big Koi fish that seem to be an attraction near the front. We get seated and drink orders taken. We got here close to opening at 11 am. so all the food was nice and fresh and hot. Don't get here half hour before closing and expect there to be all hot fresh food, it ain't gonna happen. Some of the things I love here are those ribs! Yeah, Chinese can make so damn good ribs! Not Texas style though. Chicken wings are another of my fave here. My friend went wild and ate a ton of food, all kinds of noodles, ribs and wings. I pretty much skipped the carbs and filled up with shrimp, wings and ribs. They even have french fries if you want! Service is the usual just clear the plates and fill the drinks with minimal conversation. I gotta remember this place is here!
