Sautéed mushrooms, noodles, potstickers and more!!!

An Absolute Gem! This Buffet Shattered All My Expectations! Let me be perfectly honest: I walked into this place armed with a healthy dose of skepticism. Having browsed some of the less-than-stellar reviews, my expectations were cautiously low. But from the moment I stepped up to the first steaming tray, it was immediately clear that this wasn't your average, run-of-the-mill buffet. By the way, it was lunch and was 11:30 AM. Any preconceived notions I had were completely obliterated by the sheer quality and care evident in every single dish. The first thing you notice is the freshness--every ingredient tasted vibrant and recently prepared, with nothing sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The food wasn't just warm; it was gloriously, satisfyingly hot. The highlights? There were almost too many to count. · The Chicken Wings: Forget any soggy, buffet-wing trauma you may have. These were a masterclass in texture--impossibly crispy on the outside, while remaining supremely juicy and tender within. · The Baked Salmon: This was a showstopper. Each flaky, moist fillet was infused with a rich, buttery essence and a deep umami flavor that melted on the tongue. It was a dish worthy of a dedicated seafood restaurant. · The Fried Egg Rolls: A perfect crunch gave way to a savory, well-seasoned filling. No greasy aftertaste, just pure, crispy delight. · The Egg Drop Soup: So often an afterthought, here it was a star. A beautifully balanced broth that was both comforting and sophisticated. · The Sautéed Mushrooms: Absolutely divine. They were garlicky, savory, and cooked to a tender perfection that had me going back for a second (and third!) helping. In a world where buffets can be a gamble, this establishment is a sure bet. They have clearly made a commitment to quality, flavor, and freshness that is frankly exceptional. Do not let the mixed reviews deter you. My experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I will undoubtedly be returning soon. This place isn't just a hit; it's a destination. The real test will be when I return to see if consistency holds true. Update: I went back a few days later because I was hungry and I was curious. Again, it did not disappoint. Food was just as good as it was a few days earlier my review stays the same. Great job grand buffet!

Food was barely Luke warm and mostly room temperature. Certain items like the pizza, French fries and things my kids like were rock hard like they had been sitting out under those heat lamps the entire day. We didn't dare try the sushi as it had a weird smell that made us nervous. They took out and no longer have the soft serve ice cream Machine which is a bummer cuz that was my kids favorite part. It was very very over priced and expensive and all 4 of us left completely grossed out and honestly still hungry but had no more money to go someplace else. Huge disappointment. We won't be going back.

Impressed, almost obsessed, am I coming back? Absolutely yes. At least, for lunch time. The crab wontons actually had filling inside, and were not stale at all (like they so often are at other ayce aka all you can eat buffets). Broccoli Beef? How about try their Broccoli chicken! Their "Jalapeño" Chicken is spot on (this is not called Jalapeño chicken in other buffets, but hey, a rose by any other name, right?) One of only two buffets in the entire area, "Coco Mongolian" only has ayce for dinner, and costs nearly $19/person not including soda. Their "and Sushi" means you can order sushi, but it's not part of buffet. I called Grand Buffet while I was seated at Coco, and told the Coco waitress I was leaving. Grand Buffet is only $14/person for lunch (including Saturday) AND they have Sushi in their buffet (and the sushi is not stale like you are used to in a hot foods+sushi buffet). Soda is +$2.99 extra. I got just water. LET. ME. TELL. YOU: The water was filtered! I have been sitting for about 39 minutes and have had 3 water refills already. The service is spot on. Even the egg flower soup: up to my standards. Usually not salty enough, but the egg flower soup here was just right. Even the egg foo young! Not stale! Nothing here was stale! I'm more stingy with 5 star reviews than my relatives are at leaving food service tips: this place for lunch is WORTH IT.

What was charged for eating a piece of food each. They said it was for the wasted food. I'd have eaten it if it was good.

About normal for a buffet. The Sunday menu has several seafood dishes which are ok. We go here every time we're in Redding.

They call it chicken, cause it's FRIED like a chicken with a batter. Usually deep fried. We both thought the breakfast was scrumptious, this was some of the best gravy I've had, not super gloppy but just thick enough. There was so much food I couldn't finish and took my leftovers back to go. It was a good meeting and breakfast was on the boss. I didn't ask if he won any money or not or if he lost ..... The decor was fine, but it did need to be cleaned, much of the decor seemed old. Samosa - 7.5/10 Fried well, very pillowy in the inside. Slightly greasy. Comes with two dipping sauces, one dark and one green. The green tastes like cucumber and strong of cardamon, while the dark has hints of ginger and is sweet. I enjoy the samosas, very pillowy potato inside. Great texture. Butter Chicken - 8/10 Very nice and sweet tomato taste from the sauce. The chicken is cooked well, nice and juicy. Compliments the rice very well. Chicken Korma - 7/10 Very sweet and nice coconut flavor. The sauce pairs well with the chicken, adding a depth of flavor. Though I like the butter chicken more. Butter Naan - 6.5/10 Very strong garlic flavor, a bit too much for me but my gf really liked it. Nice pillowy texture. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food at a relatively inoffensive price. I can't say much on the atmosphere of the place--it's slightly secluded from the open floor of the casino, but you can still smell the cigarettes that the patrons smoke. Outside of that, it is clean and well-lit, albeit nondescript. It also isn't a large space, so seating can be limited. The service was very helpful and friendly, but the food did take a little longer to come out than I had expected, especially given we visited at a time where over half the restaurant was unoccupied. When the food did come out, it was great. The pancakes were bigger than my face, and it also came with two eggs and hash browns (for $15); everything my friends ordered looked really good as well. For drinks, they have a wide variety of cocktails, plain coffee, and some sodas. While I can't recommend specifically coming to this casino to try their food, it's actually a very solid and convenient option for those staying or playing in the hotel/casino already.
