Wow what a gem of a place!! We went with our four year old and right off the bat it felt welcoming and extremely laid back. Both my husband and I had their Bento box lunches. You have a choice of different items, along with miso soup, pickled cumbersome, a yummy green salad, rice etc. it was delicious. We were there for the lunch rush so the male server seemed very stressed and not friendly at first. However when the rush slowed down he was able to be more attentive. The tempera was outstanding. The Tiger roll and Chasing Dragon roll were amazing. We always assess sushi quality with an order of hamachi nigiri, and it was very good. Loved the mochi for dessert, although green tea mochi wrapper wasn't quite the right texture...stick to strawberry or mango! The sushi is fairly good. I had the teriyaki beef and it was horrible. It tasted nothing like teriyaki, maybe burned. My wife had the teriyaki chicken and it tasted more like teriyaki. I asked the waiter about it and he went to the kitchen. The chef came out and told me they have to cook the beef in the teriyaki and the chicken they cook alone and then add the teriyaki, that's why I thought maybe it was burned. I poured the sauce out of the dish and asked for teriyaki sauce and it was palatable. However, in my complaint they didn't offer anything, a replacement would've been good but all I got was the information on how they cook it and then the chef said thanks and walked away abruptly. My son is still raving about the katsu chicken and my daughter, wife, and I cannot believe how good the vegetable tempura was that came with both our orders. Location: very easy to access location, not RV friendly but if you're visiting in off peak season street parking won't be a problem. Be aware of Coasties, lock up your stuff. Facility: pretty nice inside, again not fancy. Menu: Great options and easy to read and order. Staff: super quick and nice... Service: it was like we ordered and then it appeared... very fast lunch service. Food: it was okay but did not seem like top quality ingredients or plating. I had a Raman dish which was HUGE.
