We were absolutely craving Thai food during our August anniversary trip and were passing through Coos Bay on our way down the OR coast. EZ Thai came recommended during my Yelp search. We came in mid afternoon, so it wasn't the busiest time of day, but there was still a small handful of people dining in. I loved the decor of the restaurant and we were quickly seated at a table near the back by the kitchen. We were handed the regular menu and the lunch special menu, even though by the time we arrived it was technically past the lunch special cutoff time. I noticed that there wasn't much of a price difference between the lunch special menu and the regular menu, and there also weren't many items to choose from the lunch special menu, so it was in our best interest to order from the regular menu. I went with the Pad Peth while my husband went with the tom yum noodle soup. We both went with a spice level of 2, since there was a literal warning on the wall telling people that they were not responsible for incorrectly ordering a spice level. I also ordered a Thai tea. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive, and we were starving. The portion sizes were appropriate for the price, and the flavors were absolutely on point for Thai food. I was honestly keeping my expectations low given that we were in Coos Bay, but I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and deliciousness of our food. I also loved that my Thai tea did not come mixed, because I love mixing my own Thai tea and watching the milk swirling through the tea. I've never had Pad Peth before, as I rarely see it on menus at other Thai restaurants, but it's definitely a dish that I would order again. My dish came with the perfect amount of rice as well. My husband loved his tom yum noodle soup. I had a sip of his broth and it was delicious and perfectly spicy. EZ Thai is definitely on my list to return to the next time we visit the OR coast! read more

The pad Thai was actually pretty good, but the pad Kee mao wasn't that good (wish the noodles were thicker) and the fried chicken in basil was kind of wet, maybe there was too much sauce. After having spent a month in Thailand, I can say that EZ Thai is the real deal. Try the lemongrass pad thai!

EZ Thai was okay. The gentleman that helped me upon entering was incredibly kind and hospitable. I ordered takeout and my order was ready rather quickly. I ordered #35 Pad Thai (Tofu) which is my usual go-to for Thai food, and #2 Salad Rolls. The Pad Thai was okay, the sauce tasted a lot like ketchup and there was no lime, and the texture of the tofu was okay, it wasn't as crispy. I would not order it again. The salad rolls were also okay, lots of lettuce and the paper was excessive but the peanut sauce was great! I would return to try other menu items, maybe Pad Thai isn't their speciality. read more

Stopping to eat dinner at EZ Thai when in Coos Bay is always a "must" on our list. In addition to serving fantastic Thai food (my favorite is the cashew nut stir fry), we have always been met with friendly, prompt service. Tables can also be reserved in advance. There are so many tasty items on the menu, many with adjustable spice levels. At some restaurants, spice levels don't mean much, but no need to worry about that at EZ Thai - each spice level is distinguishable from the next. I'm already craving some stir fry and a Thai tea while writing this review. I highly recommend EZ Thai, especially for those who love spicy food! read more

My friend and I stopped by to grab take out since we were on a road trip. We arrived on Sunday night around 8 PM. The restaurant was large and had a lot of seating but most of it was empty, only a couple of tables were filled. We ordered with the cashier in the front who was very friendly. Our food came out pretty quickly as well. We shared: PAD SEE EW: The pad see ew flavor was there albeit quite muted. The noodles though were very poorly cooked and all stuck together. I added some tofu to the dish and the tofu was quite tasty. TOM YUM SOUP: There was absolutely no tom yum flavor it just tasted like tomato broth. Honestly not bad tasting just not tom yum at all. There was also not much ingredients/veggies inside. GREEN CURRY: The green curry taste was great and the veggies were cooked well. I have nothing but good things to say! This is my first time in to EZ Thai since moving to North Bend a year ago. I glanced over the menu online and thought the crispy basil chicken sounded intriguing. I placed the order and the staff was really friendly over the phone. The order only took 15 minutes and it was piping hot and ready when I got there on time. The staff was great throughout the transaction. When I got home all the way across town and opened the box, it smelled amazing! It tasted even better than it smelled. It came with rice. I plated it up and added arugula from my fridge for some bitter greens. I paired it with their Thai tea and I will 100% be back. Also, it was really really clean in there! I'm not the biggest fan of Thai food, but this place is really good! I always get the fried tofu as an appetizer and it's always so crunchy but still juicy and the sauce it comes with is great. I get the Pad See Ew with tofu and they always have a good portion of tofu which isn't always the case at other Thai places I've gone too. We visited EZ Thai for the first time and it was really nice! The food was delicious and the restaurant was very good. It's small but we went early and were seated immediately. I use a wheelchair, so accessibility is important. A staff member saw us and helped with the door and our table was easy to get to. It is a casual place and there is a bar just inside the door by the waiting area so drinks are available if there is a wait. Our food came quickly. Hate to leave a 1 star review but a mandatory 15% gratuity on checks over $100 is insane when the service is subpar. Never received refills on drinks and waitstaff acted irritated when we asked for anything. The person who brought the food from the kitchen was very kind and everything tasted great. Let me start by saying, I do recognize it was a busy night and they were short-staffed. But, for a transparent review, I want to share we were not acknowledged for several minutes when we walked in. I was getting ready to suggest we go somewhere else when they finally greeted us. Also, my partner was brought a completely different dish than what he ordered. Instead of apologizing, they just asked him if he was ok with this different dish. Due to how long we waited for our food, feeling bad because they were busy, and their implication that they did not want to remake his order, he just said it was fine and ate it but I felt really bad that he did not get what he wanted. Aside from that, I do think the staff were trying to check in on us and keep us comfortable. Food tasted good and was affordable. Serving sizes were average to small for a Thai food place. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant and the fun tour of Thailand video you could watch while you ate. Went here for dinner, place was just about empty but were always a bit early. Got seated and ordered. I had the duck with red curry sauce which was just as fantastic as you would find in Thailand, the tastes were spot on. Hearty size bowl but I'm a light eater. You can choose the heat degree from your server. I had a 4 out of 5 ( scale 1-5) which was the perfect heat that my palate needed. My wife had coconut prawns and egg rolls a la carte which were also a great report. The ambiance is minimal but clear and well kept. By mid dinner the place started to fill up and was full by the time we left. Prices are about what you will find anywhere in the bay .
