I had 4 crabapple trees removed and 4 trees planted to replace the ones removed. Passion built did a great job removing the trees and cleaning up after the stump removal. They also did a fantastic job planting the replacement trees. They made the tree moat look great and lined it with rock and filled it with mulch. They also moved the drip irrigation into place and added drip to one of the new trees. I'd say that I was happy with the value I received from Passion Built. They were not the cheapest, but the quality of work and the guarantee to fix what they might break doing the work solidified the deal. They are a small local business and the owner came out and participated in the labor. I am very glad I selected this company for the job and I am very pleased by the quality work they delivered. My mom is in her late 80's and on social security and she gave him the deposit with the plan he would be out in a few weeks to complete the job. Since we used him before we had no reason to think this would be a problem (lesson learned!). Not only did he give us a multitude of sob stories and excuses for never completing the job, he has to this day never given us the cash back. I texted for months, and he promised to bring it by numerous times and never has. From what I see on SilverFlume, the Nevada Business portal, his license is in "Revoked" status. We will be pursuing every avenue to report him and his company for fraud.

5 stars just isn't enough…read more I woke up one morning to a text from my mom with a picture of what looked liked a large branch which had broken from her tree. Her text said, "Tomorrow, on my day off, I'm going to saw it down to dump!" My mom is a bit older and very petite, so when I read this, I imagined mom with a hand saw in the middle of her driveway and I laughed and responded, "No, I'll take care of it for you." I live in Southern California and mom lives in Reno, so I couldn't just come over and clean it up for her, unfortunately. I first called waste management, they apparently don't do bulk pickups in Reno. I went onto Yelp and searched tree removal, stumbled across Greater America Tree Service and gave them a call. Mark, who answered the phone, was very professional and polite. I explained to him the situation, he asked me to text him the pictures mom had sent me. He responded with a fair estimate. Not even an hour later, I get a call and text back to let me know that they had finished. Talk about speedy service. What's even more awesome is they decided not to charge me. Apparently, the branch was a lot smaller than it appeared in the pictures. So they just went ahead and took care of it. Poor guys spent more on gas money to get out there! Bottom line, I would highly recommend Greater Nevada Tree Service and will be referring them to anyone in Reno that needs tree trimming or removal. Unexpected kind acts from strangers are so rare these days, my mom and I greatly appreciate what they did. Called the tree guys at 12:15 on a Tuesday. They answered, came over, and my tree issues were complete by 1:15 the same day (while it was snowing, mind you). They were friendly, professional, and gave great advice. They had just finished up a large job so there was a whole troop of them! Made the job go so quickly and gave me someone to chat with while I watched them work. I don't have a lot of tree needs, but if I do I will definitely be calling these guys up again.

Another Yelp Request-A-Quote success! We had a fairly significant concern with a huge tree…read morethreatening property damage for our neighbor and us as well. I posted a request through the Yelp APP on Saturday afternoon and had a free on-property estimate completed by Lane at Deadwood Forestry before dinner that night! He provided quotes for two different options to address the problem, pruning and balancing the tree, or full removal. I was leaning toward full removal, even though it would cost more. Lane actually provided sound counsel that ultimately convinced us to save the mature tree, allowing the tree a chance to heal, and ultimately costing us less money. I appreciated that his priority was always the health of the tree, along with addressing our concerns for safety for the surrounding properties. We had an estimate in writing by Sunday, and had our service scheduled by Monday. We did get a quote from another company that came back a little cheaper, but ultimately did not seem as organized and professional. The work was completed today. The Deadwood Forestry crew took their time, ensuring the job got done efficiently, but safely. They cleaned up every sign of their work, leaving us with a beautiful stack of firewood, and a lovely, mature tree with a new lease in life! When and if we have more work like this, we will absolutely be calling on them again.
