All I can say about this company is WOW . From the time they came out to give me an estimate to today when the work was done, they been a pleasure with which to work. Kristen was hugging & rubbing on my very over grown tree telling me it's best they only remove the deadwood now & come back in the fall for corrective pruning. Turns out if you cut while the leaves are on you can shock & kill the tree. Who knew?!?! Today, Clint & Sam showed up to do the work & they were awesome!!! Really good & so professional. I don't like to give bad reviews, but we were not happy with the service we received from this company. This took place last year, Zach came by and gave us a quote. We thought it was expensive, but we know tree trimming is costly. Most of the trimming was from our neighbors trees, that hang into our yard and he also gave as part of the quote, to do some trimming on a weeping birch tree and a maple tree in our yard. The day they showed to do the job, they did not have a ladder, so anything that was above what they could reach from a 6 foot fence, was all that got cut. Needless to say we still have lots of branches hanging in our yard. They never touched the trees in our yard and when we texted him about it, we never heard another word from him. On time to start, finished early, left the work area as clean as when they arrived and just fun to work with. Very bad experience with this one. They took over for Robert Kelly Tree when Bob retired. The guy seemed very nice and came out right away and gave me a quote. It was pricey but I know tree trimming can be expensive. I had to call back at least four times to finally get something set up and get on their schedule. Basically doing their job for them. Set a day/time, took off work and they were a no call/no show. I still haven't heard a word from them for a reason why they never showed up. If you call the number on the business card - it goes straight to voicemail. The office number refers you to someone that is supposed to answer but never does. I recommend leaving this company behind and finding another company that will actually call and show up to do the work. read more

Made the appointment and they were very prompt and arrived right on time for the free estimate and the actual day. Walked the house again with me and discussed exactly what I wanted to make sure we were on the same page. We scheduled 4.5 trees and they worked all day. They need to come back to finish tree #4, but the other trees look fantastic!! I am so happy with that excellent work they did, they truly understand the needs of the tree for the health& longevity of the life of the tree. Used them for some tree work that the insurance company required for our business (brand new motel). They left needles in the brand new gutters I wrote them to come back and clear out. The owner told me they would take care of it, fast forward a week later the needles were still there. When I called Zachary he then claimed my gutters were already dirty... on a brand new property, those are only a couple months old. He said he would take care of it last Friday "personally" fast forward to this Monday when the storm was happening needles were still in our gutters damaging them. I called the owner he again told me it would be done. I finally paid another company to take care of it. Would not recommend for personal or business use. He claims he threw in extra work for us but his invoice was also $300 over what was quoted, so what extra work? read more

They didn't finish the job contracted for because they said their truck that hauled the stump grinder and chipper was down but would return to finish the job. If I could give this less than 1 star I would. I used getfreechips.com which helps arborist dispose of wood chips quickly free of cost and in an environmentally friendly alternative to pulp mills by giving them to private residents for use as fill and ground cover . The Great Basin Company was selected as the provider for a dump truck full of wood chips which they dumped in my RV access such that it crushed some plant blocked my ability to walk around and so that I could not close my gate and let my dogs out to go potty. To be clear there is 20-30 more feet past the gate where they could have dumped the load and not crushed my plants not blocked the walk way and allowed me to close the gate. When I called to complain Zach basically said tough sh!t. The actual quote was "it was a free chip drop and I could fix the problem with a few minutes of shoveling ( not true it is a literal dump truck load of wood chips)". He then said "I could send some guys out and shovel it out of the way but I'd have to charge you ( which really sounds like some Sopranos mod stuff)". I was tempted to tell him yeah to come do it and then not pay them crap but I'm a good Christian and won't let some shady devil draw me to darkness. Boy am I heated. I am going to do everything I can to ruin this companies reputation cause it just isn't right. read more
