I opted not to get other bids after meeting with Bryan, my instincts said I could trust him. I do usually get 3 bids. We walked through my entire front & backyard looking at my trees. He listened to what I wanted, shared his expertise, gave me his recommendations, & provided a written bid. He & his crew of 7 arrived at 8:30am and didn't stop until they finished after 5pm. All the trees were 30+ years old, so they were quite tall. They removed & drilled my pine beetle infested Scotch pine; drilled another stump; removed & drilled stumps of 2 cherry trees (my bing towered over the garage); trimmed out four weeping mulberry (they're look like big bonsai trees now, so pretty); trimmed-out 3 pine trees & a catalpa. They removed an 85'x21' hedge of 30+ yr-old juniper than grew down toward the street. They cut my pine & cherry trees into wood stove-sized logs so I can season & split them. They left me a pile of chips to spread under my trees/bushes. When I say they worked hard all day, I'm not exaggerating. Bonus, they were all so nice/friendly and did a good job cleaning up the debris. We had a huge old willow tree in our front yard that was rotting through, and the last big windstorm knocked half of it down on a Friday night (luckily not hitting anything!). We were concerned about the other half falling and requested an expedited tree removal. Bryan came out on Saturday morning to check on the half still standing, and cut it down to a safe height right then. We had been putting off a ton of other work that also needed to be done (4 dead tree removals, 2 large tree trimmings, and a couple of large bush removals), so Bryan and I walked through all of it and he was able to give me a really reasonable quote right away and schedule the work for that Monday. He and his team knocked out the work super quickly, even saving a few pieces for us. They were all really nice guys and the quality of the work they completed was impressive. I told him about the work I wanted done and he immediately started to argue with me about what I wanted done. I told him alright what will you do for me. I'd like to share an amazing and generous encounter I had with Bryan of Bear Mountain Arborist! We had become very concerned about a few of our beloved trees on our property that were showing signs of ill-health. We had absolutely no intention of having them removed.
