They showed up early and worked very hard; the crew was polite, hard-working, cheerful, respectful, wore masks when we interacted, stood 6 feet away, and did a great job. Once they finished their work on the trees, they even tidied up my back yard and patio, so it looked better when they left than it had when they arrived. The foreman was lovely and explained everything, and the rest of the guys were just as nice. They seemed to be a happy bunch, and I think I even heard one singing while he was working! The price was fair. I got a senior discount, which helped. I had intended to get other quotes before I hired them, but the other two tree services I called didn't even bother to call me back. I would never hire this company. My HOA did . All these men did was yell and smoke when they weren't cutting down trees. I work graveyard and sleep in the day and all they did was yell at each other from tree to ground. Or cuss. Very unprofessional. Needless to say I got no sleep when they were here, which I get there job is to cut down or trim trees, but it was the yelling for me. And no I did not mistake there business for another one like the owner had said. There trucks are still here. In fact in front of my condo. I don't appreciate being made to look like I don't know what I'm talking about. I know when my board meeting is thanks! I get you have to communicate I don't appreciate you saying I didn't know what I was talking about. A simple sorry would have gone a long way with me. As for the noise I know I have to deal with it but when your guys are outside yelling on there breaks that's another story . Maybe get walkie-talkies so you can "communicate from tree to ground. The owner came out to take a look at two trees that I needed trimming and he had an attitude even before he spoke to me and wouldn't allowed me to explain what I wanted him to do, walked the other tree and said oh you want me to take this whole tree down I hadn't even told him what I wanted him to do. Terrible job! They started out good and got lazy at end of day. Multiple trees not complete and damage to my sewer clean out that the owner said he fixed but not a good repair. Had to redo myself! Lots of dead branches not picked up and trash left behind. When I called the owner and told him about my complaints, he only said that's all we could do on a days work and after trying to get him to return, he hung up on me. I've used Wilson Tree Works 3 times since I've moved into my home 2 years ago. The locust trees were neglected for years, overgrown and unruly. Now they are well groomed and healthy. I had a beautiful old pine tree in the front of the house that was beginning to lean due to a fracture in the roots. Other companies told me to "just cut it down". Wilson Tree Works staked it and immediately began to respond. Where I live we frequently get 40-90 mph winds; when the cables came loose or were blown off, they came back and replaced them at no cost. The tree is coming along nicely and I hope to have the cables removed in another year or two. The Trees to Heaven were top heavy and the clean cuts made have improved my view without giving up the shade provided. Robert contacted me the same day he received the quote request through Yelp and was at our house (in Sparks) with a reasonable quote before the day had ended. While he had given me a window of two months in the quote, once I confirmed that I'd have him do the job, he was on-site with a crew later that week (on the day he said he'd get back to me with a schedule, actually) -- he called ahead to ensure the timing worked for me. His team of five guys with the right equipment fell the dead tree in our front yard, ground the stump down, and cleared the old brush, all within about half an hour. Robert (Owner) from Wilson Tree Works was quick to come to my house when one of the branches from my Ash tree in the front yard fell on my house a couple of months ago. Because he was so quick to come out, I decided to use Wilson Tree Works to clean-up/lighten that same tree... Last week Robert and his crew came out to my house to clean up the Ash tree and not even 24 hours later, multiple branches had broken after strong winds came through our neighborhood. After further inspection, it was obvious that they only thinned out the branches close to the trunk of the tree; the heavy ends of the branches covered in leaves were not touched. The 'thinning' was not completed properly and on top of that, a couple of my plants were stepped on by his crew. When I called Robert back to let him know I was not satisfied with the job, he yelled at me, and told me that he "isn't going to renovate my whole front yard" and that "he has 5-star reviews". Well, I'm here to make sure that changes quickly, and as you can see by the pictures, he is not a suitable Arborist for even the simplest of tasks. read more

The owner came out to give me an estimate and did not even shut his truck off. I think he did not care for the fact that I asked for an estimate where I would do my own cleanup. I asked him for some watering advice and he told me that he was not here for advice but to give an estimate. The website clearly says they will answer any and all tree questions. He told me he would email me an estimate but never did so he just blew me off. The service I used not only gave me a estimate without cleanup but actually did all the cleanup anyway and did work on trees that were not even part of the bid so it actually worked out better for me. read more

3/17/17 Wilson Tree Works..Robert and his enthusiastic and friendly crew of five went right to work to cut down my 70ft maple tree growing so close to my home that half of it was over the roof. This required both Robert and another climber to both be high in the tree to rig the heavy limbs to not drop to the roof. The team worked with expert efficiency to safely remove the tree in not much more time than it would have taken away from a structure. Not only that, but Robert was the lowest price quote as well. Crew was on time checked out the hazard tree came up with a plan. The Crew Boss commented about my weather station and said they would be careful. Chainsaws, handsaws, ropes. As they worked I could see trees coming into form. I have a great view out of my backyard again. The crew worked together, watched out for each other and got along. When all was done it is beautiful. I had this company come out to quote me on a pine tree that is near dead. I wanted a quote on pulling it but the owner who seemed really nice thought possibly it could be saved with infusing fertilizer into it. While he was here I also asked about an apple tree and a quick trim to the top of a tree in my front yard. I got a quote of around $275. His team showed up an hour early in thunder lightening and a downpour so I opened my garage for them. I didn't notice anything happening so I went outside to see the "boss" smoking while his workers waited for instruction. The tree out front took maybe 5 minutes, the woman did a good job on the Apple tree. I look outside to see the boss with another cigarette in his mouth in my backyard. Long story short, they were here approx 30 minutes charged me $375 and didn't even cut the dead branches off the pine tree. I would not recommend this company I feel rotally taken advantage of say nothing about bwing lied to with the price. read more
