Efficient friendly service removing a huge tree top which the fierce winds from the storm a few weeks ago had flown onto my roof. Reasonable rates as well. Third time I've used their services, and I'm pleased with each time. read more

Kosich was highly recommended so, I ordered 3 cords of pine to be delivered between 1-3 on the 25th. It was delivered slightly early and the wood appeared to be of good quality. My three nephews stacked the wood, but there appeared to be a lot of small scraps (two big garbage cans of those scraps) after the wood was stacked. Once the scraps were collected there was a tremendous amount of sawdust, chips and other debris on the ground. Previously when I ordered firewood, the debris was minor and I just swept it off the driveway. It was way too much to sweep off the driveway. We collected 24 garbage bags of debris. Now, I have to deal with 24 bags of trash. As we were bagging debris were found some wood hidden in the vast amount of debris. read more

Very friendly and professional service. Quick response, easy communication and online ordering and fair price for 1/2 cord of almond wood. Highly recommend! read more

We ordered a quarter cord of wood and it was definitely a little challenging to get it to our deck where we stack it. Chris, who was the delivery guy did a really great job getting it up to our deck with no complaint and he was very friendly with a great attitude. He even cleaned up the debris off the sidewalk after he was done! Super happy with the great and on-time service. I would definite recommend Kosich all day long! read more

Quality wood and a great team to work with! We will continue to use them for our firewood needs. Would highly recommend!

We've used them several times over the years. Always responsive and fair. Really appreciate how well they communicate.

We've used Kosich Firewood for years. We recently ordered a half cord of mixed oak and pine to be delivered to Tahoe City. Easy online order form on their website; fine tuned the details via email. Wood delivery was smooth and on time. Quality firewood. Stacking for $70 was a bargain! Will definitely order from Kosich again. read more

The price of firewood is forcing many of us to install an oil heater system cheaper over the long haul. $1200 for 2 cords of Almond Is just too steep to keep using firewood. They are pricing themselves out of the marketplace. Looking at alternatives. read more

Outstanding! I placed a phone order for firewood a few weeks before Hanukah as a surprise holiday gift. Jason and his crew did a perfect job. Delivered when they promised, stacked perfectly where I requested it and they even locked the gate after they left, also as I had requested. Beautifully seasoned wood (oak), split into the right size and ready for use. Great product and excellent customer service. If you need firewood, I highly recommend this business! read more

Fantastic. Easy online order, quick appointment, arrived on time, stacked and cleaned up. (I told my wife I stacked it but really I ate breakfast) Entire experience was painless. read more

We have had firewood delivered by Kosich for years and they are reliable with great service and communication. I highly recommend them if you need wood for winter. read more

Such a fantastic company. I can't recommend them enough. Timeliness and fast response. Pricing is extraordinarily fair. There were three different types of firewood to choose from and we went into detail on all three. I went with walnut as it burns slowly but it's not as hard to light as Oak. Jason also does defendable space and yard cleanup which I asked him for a quote on my property when he arrived. Definitely a good company. read more

Been a firewood delivery customer for 5 years. They will do invoice payment once you are a repeat customer. Always show up when they say they will and never had a problem with coordination and quality of the wood. Got a quote for brush clearing and I ended up doing it myself. I wasn't sure if their recommendations would be aligned with the fire department and didn't want to over clear any foliage, plus I wanted to try it myself and see if the work was worth the money I would have spent. Ultimately I regret not hiring them as the cost for the work was very reasonable considering all the time and back breaking work I spent getting my yard in fire compliance. Plus bought a bunch of tools for the job. I will definitely call them for this service next year. Their recommendations for what to thin/clear/remove was actually very close to the suggestions I received from the Tahoe City fire department whom I had inspect my property before I started the work. read more

I should not have been so hard on Jason and his people. California is a difficult place to do business. Insurqnce prices, gas prices, rents, you name it. However, if you live here as a permanent resident there are a lot of places to find good Pine firewood. You'll most likely need to go get it yourself so hiring someone to season it, split it and drop if off at your home is not cheap. read more

Grt responsiveness and very pleased with their wood delivery. We will be a repeat client

THE best for getting deliveries of very high quality (hardwood) firewood. We called them on a Sunday and by 10 AM the next day, we had a cord of wood dropped at our house on the west shore in Tahoma/Meeks Bay. Extremely responsive team, which is (unfortunately) rare for Tahoe. We'll keep ordering from them forever. I think we'll also try them for defensible space work. read more

We've been getting our annual hard wood from Kosich for more than 20 years, not just because they are reliable and consistent and fair, but because Jason does a great job with customer service and supporting the community. He went it of his way to deliver firewood to a leukemia patient that works in Truckee but lives outside his service/delivery area! We are customers for life! read more

Jason and his crew are highly recommended for defensible space cleanup. We were amazed that they needed no direction or discussion, but knew exactly what to do and did it very efficiently. When they were finished, they disappeared! No knocking on the door and asking for payment even. All done by email and so pleasant., Next we are going to start their wood service. It's a 10++ for us. read more

Wow I thought they would send me a price list and what kind of wood they would have as well as a time frame for delivery I will buy my wood some were else? read more

These guys are awesome. They were on time and flexible regarding where the firewood was to be delivered on our property. Most of all, the firewood is as advertised. Day of delivery, my wife and I got the fire stoked in our woodstove with Pine and settled in some Oak pieces. Burned perfectly all night. Kosich Firewood gets my highest recommendation! read more

Kosich firewood made it very easy for me to order my firewood this year. The man who answered the phone was able to answer all my first timer questions. The wood arrived right on time, the guys who unloaded it were very quick, and the wood burns great. The price was great as well, we will definitely use them for our future firewood needs. read more

Searched for firewood in the Truckee area and found Kosich Firewood highly rated. Spoke with Jason on the phone and two days later he made the delivery as promised. Full cord and exactly what I requested at a reasonable price. Thank you Yelpers and Jason and his team. Looking forward to a nice warm winter. read more

Kosich Firewood - One cord half soft half hard. - Firewood Near Me - Truckee, California

Another year, another cord, another great job. How few companies have the type of reviews that kosich has over the years? Not many and that is because not many companies do such a great job as Jason and his crews do year after year. The wood is always in good shape, cut to the correct size and with my back I no longer can stack the wood so I have Kosich do it and they do a great job! It is stacked where I asked it to be, done correctly (it is amazing how many people do not know how to stack firewood) and they always clean up after they are done. Simply the best!!!! Thank you Jason read more

My family has bought multiple cords of wood over the years from Kosich Firewood. We feel it's a fair price and the wood is always in good condition and parsed into proper fireplace sized pieces. The Kosich crew has always delivered as scheduled too. read more

Kosich was great! I moved into a new house this March with an empty propane tank and very little wood in the harshest winter we've had in years. I was in a hurt-locker and Kosich made my delivery a priority. I was rationing my wood burning until I could get propane delivered and Kosich came through for me. I couldn't cook and didn't have hot water but at least the house was warm until the propane arrived. Thank you, Kosich! read more

Easy to order, on time delivery of top notch wood. Entire cord was measured out, seasoned wood. They are mine and my families go to from here on out! read more

I worked with Jason directly to get firewood delivered this winter. He was responsive, clear in his communications and very easy to work with. Wood was delivered on time and stacked quickly. read more

Kosich Firewood/Jason was great!!! My property is a vacation home, so I'm not local. Jadon worked with me to get my property prepared with defensible space. We communicated via text, email and phone calls. The end result was better than I hoped for. I will definitely use Kosich Firewood again. read more

Best out there folks!!! I'm in Glenbrook and I got 2 cords (that's the minimum for us here as I believe they are in Truckee). Perfect beautiful oak pieces and so worth the price. Pine is like paper, oak lasts and blasts with the heat. Had them stack it as well. Great job guys, really appreciate you servicing down here in the south! Thanks again! The guy that stacked it made it look like art, it was so pretty! ;) read more

Called one day ... got the delivery the next. Exactly at the time specified. Quality (dryness) of the wood is good.

Best firewood around. I've used Kosich the past three years for my seasonal firewood needs. I burn somewhere between 3 and 4 cords of wood each winter. All the firewood I have purchased from Kosich has been well seasoned. While I don't measure the cords, it certainly seems I get more than I paid for. My phone calls and e-mails are always quickly returned and delivery is always on-time. It's nice to do business with a fair and honest company. read more

UPDATE: Kosich delivered another 1/2 cord of wood this past week and they were great once again. Jason hooked up a quick delivery, the driver was friendly and the drop off was expertly positioned so I could get to stacking! Thanks again Kosich! Excellent service, friendly and efficient staff. Firewood was delivered as promised and high quality. read more

I just bought a house in Tahoe and I needed firewood for the new wood stove. I saw Kosich Firewood truck off of Donner Pass Road and decided to them a call. After talking with Jason, one of the owners I was able to get a couple cords delivered and stacked in a couple days. While Jason and his brother Ryan were stacking the wood, I also found out they do defensible spacing as which the yard was in need. A few days later they were back again and were able to remove a lot of dry foliage and some dead trees and now the yard looks great. Great service and they showed up when they said they would which I find is rare these days especially in Tahoe. read more

Good prices, great wood, and excellent stacking technique. The only reason it is not five stars is that they had a bit of a bad attitude about the delivery. I told Jason by email that they should back their truck up to the rear deck and load the wood from the truck to the deck. The landlord of the cabin called Jason the day before delivery to describe the deck and how wood has always been loaded onto it in the past. But when they turned up, they complained that there was no way to park the truck away from the cabin in order to use a wheelbarrow to unload the wood and they charged me extra because of that. Unloading wood by tossing it from the back of a truck is way easier than unloading it to a wheelbarrow, pushing the wheelbarrow, unloading the wheelbarrow and repeating a hundred times. Still it was great wood and they did an awesome job of stacking it. Plus Jason was quick to reply by email and phone during the whole process. I would use them again next ski season. read more

I have bought hardwood from them a couple times. Emailed them this morning and in less than a minute received a call back. They stated they had time this morning to drop it off. Unbelievably fast service and they've always had great customer service. We highly recommend anyone looking for firewood to go with these guys! You will not be disappointed! read more

I always direct anyone looking for fantastic firewood to Kosich and this week was no different. Just received a text from the homeowners I referred 2 weeks ago and they said the wood was in excellent condition and delivered and stacked in a professional manner. They said it looked so great they had it moved up to their top deck instead of underneath like they had it before. No place greater in the Tahoe Basin for stocking up on firewood! read more

I've been using these folks yearly for about 5 years. My preference is their (white) oak because I can use it for the fireplace or for my BBQ smoker. Always well-seasoned and not many surprises as far as stray pieces of foreign wood is concerned. These guys are always on time and take pride in dropping it in exactly the location where I need it to stack it myself. Got another two cords this year and looking forward to doing business with them for a long time. read more

They were responsive and coordinated delivery according to our availability. The oak-almond mix is outstanding. However, being our first season, we didn't realize we could use some kindling too. Not having kindling has been a pain. read more

We ordered two cords of firewood from Truckee Kosich and it was very easy to do over email with Jason. Delivery was on time and the wood was dropped with precision and skill.
