Chaz, Swayze and the red-haired arborist (I am so sorry, I forgot his name) didn't scoff at me or try to milk my bank account because of my sentimentality. These folks did an AMAZING job of carefully trimming down our apple tree, bringing it "up", cleaning up the suckers, AND, also trimming up some of our silver maple tree, including taking off a broken branch. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and showed great care for both safety and detail. I was home the entire time and watched quite a bit of the progress through the windows (not out of worry, but because it was fascinating to watch them work). One of our trees was within five feet of the house, with large limbs hanging directly over the roof, and they were incredibly careful--there was never a moment when our house felt at risk during its removal. The cleanup afterward was excellent, and when my husband and I asked if two trees (a crabapple and a pear) could be shaped and lowered just a bit more, the crew responded with friendly smiles and handled it immediately--no hesitation or attitude.
