Expectations exceeded once again. Steve and crew went above and beyond trimming all 4 trees on my property. In addition to the pictured trees ,they also trimmed a Magnolia and thinned a Catalpa (green bean) tree that a branch had broke in the wind. Thank you Steve and Crew read more

I used Elk Grove Tree two more times at my newest home in 2020 and they cut down an old ash tree near my shed. It's a large property and I don't go to that area often. My friend noticed that initials were carved into the stump with a chainsaw. It was a "DR" obviously done by the worker from Elk Grove tree. We don't even own a chainsaw. We didn't notice it until years later. As a result we use another company now. It looks trashy. read more

Elk Grove Tree Service - DR carved into the stump of the tree they removed - Tree Services Near Me

I needed a diseased fruitless mulberry removed. It kept dropping limbs every year and was pushing up concrete. I called Steve at Elk Grove Tree Service. He got back to me right away, drove by and gave me a fair quote to remove my tree and the wood, plus grind the stump (after utility marking). Not the least expensive, not the most expensive, but he is licensed, bonded, insured and has a boom truck. I also want to mention that Wesley, his foreman, is so experienced. He operated the boom and did all the high cuts. He was so careful about watching for traffic (I'm on a busy corner), where his guys were on the ground, etc. The team did a fantastic job, were fast - done in under 2.5 hours - and cleaned up nicely. I highly recommend using Steve and his team of tree experts. read more

I needed two trees cut due to them being too large for the backyard in a spot too close to the fence/neighbors. I got six different estimates and Elk Grove tree service had the most reasonable quote. Steve also used his laser pointer to identify the problem areas while he was giving the quote vs just pointing at the sky like other companies and me trying to figure out where they were talking about. Elk Grove tree service was also the only company with the spider cutting machine, which allowed them to be more efficient and cut both trees simultaneously in a safer manner. Steve and his son Josh came to give an estimate and were able to accommodate scheduling me quickly for both the estimate and the removal. They were recommended to me by my realtor, Kim Yee. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in the future. read more

After winds took out a couple of large branches of our redwood trees, we called Steve for help. They were quick to respond and, in addition to removing the damaged areas, thinned and generally cleaned up both trees. The trees look great again. Elk Grove Tree Service did an excellent job. I was concerned that the thinning of the trees would make them look bare, but it didn't. I would definitely use this company again. I highly recommend Steve and his crew to anyone needing tree service. read more

Steve and his foreman are very knowledgeable and will work with you to keep your trees healthy while getting the results you want. This was the second time I've used their service and everything looks great! Steve will give lots of options to work within your budget, and prices were reasonable that I could have everything I wanted done. They are well equipped for the jobs, they are very safety conscious, and the whole crew was fast and efficient, cleaning up after themselves completely when they were done. I want to hire people who do a good job because they care about the work they do -- Steve and all of Elk Grove Tree Service clearly does care about trees and about doing a good job. I recommend them without reservation and will continue to call on them for any future service I need. read more

This is the second time Elk Grove Tree Service has provided professional service for our front and back yards. First time: tree removal and pruning -- this time: pruning six trees using an efficient six person crew that did a top tier cleanup afterwards. Steve is very well organized, communicated well with me and his team and completed the job in a very timely manner. I highly recommend EGTS. I will be using them again for a large tree removal project sometime in the future. read more

The owner and his son came out to give us an estimate shortly after we called. The cost and process were explained in detail. The estimate was not the least or most expensive. We opted to use them based on the interaction during the estimate. Work was initiated within the estimated window. The crew was polite and hard working. Work was done exceptionally well. Could not be more pleased with the process from start to finish. read more

Good work and competitive pricing. Clean up was satisfactory. Work was completed in a timely manner. Would of been a full 5 star if logs were have been hauled away. Unfortunately their equipment was down for repairs. read more

Incredible service and great customer experience! The owner came out for a quote one day and was back the next day to complete the service. The crew was friendly and they really did a thorough job. They moved items that were in their way, put them back in their place when they were done and cleaned up all the debris that was left. They even accidentally dislodged two sprinkler heads and spent extra time making sure that they were fixed and working before they left. Their pricing was also top-tier and Steve did an amazing job making sure we had a good deal. Thank you, Elk Grove Trees! read more

They were fast, efficient and it was reasonable pricing! Highly recommend them. Nice guys too!!

We called to have our trees trimmed. They were able to just top off the tall redwoods and remove the other trees on the side yard. While healthy, the roots are invasive so we removed those instead of trimming. They were very quick and professional. They cleaned up all the debris nicely too. Definitely recommend. read more

I had a 23 yr old tree cut down as it had become diseased. The turnaround time from estimate to having the work done was only 3 days. There was a team of about 6-7 guys who showed up to do the work. It was all done in less than an hour. It was fascinating to watch them work, they sure know what they're doing and they have great teamwork. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs this kind of work done. read more

Steve and his crew are professionals and excellent workers. They were also able to deal with our difficult neighbor who basically refused to allow access to her property making their job so much harder and unnecessarily dangerous. I initially filled out a contact form on their website, but I would recommend just calling them. They do free estimates and provide invoices to securely pay for the services (i don't like giving my CC info over the phone) Steve met to check out the palm tree I wanted to remove. After taking a longer look at the palm tree he was able to give me tips on how to make the removal process cheaper for me The workers came by and were willing to answer my various questions and didn't mind me watching the process - it was pretty interesting to watch! They finished the whole process of removing the palm tree in less than an hour and did a good job cleaning up after Great job - I definitely recommend read more

We needed a small palm tree removed so we could install a shed. They gave us a reasonable quote. There was a bit of confusion about arrival time and they had a vehicle break down. I wish I had "before" pictures to further illustrate what a fantastic job Elk Grove Tree Service did for us this morning. Steve and his team, from the office to the on-site crew, were wonderful - responsive, professional and friendly. To top it off (my review, not the trees), they left my front yard cleaner than it probably was when they arrived. This was my second time in three years doing business with Elk Grove Tree Service. I once again had an outstanding experience. I had several trees trimmed and topped. They walked the property with us and gave a free estimate of the job cost. While there are likely cheaper bidders out there, they are unlikely to have a supervisor on site, bring a large crew, demonstrate a clear commitment to the safety of workers and passersby, and accomplish an impressive cleanup and haul-away of the debris. I recommend them without hesitation! read more

Contacted several different tree service companies. Elk Grove Tree Service was by far the most reasonable. They went over and above. We had 3 trees removed and 2 trees trimmed. Elk Grove Tree Service is an awesome tree service. Our neighbor hired them to prune and shape a huge tree in his backyard where branches hung over into our yard. The owner, Steve came over to talk to us and get permission to enter our yard. He was very nice, professional and thoughtful. We asked if his team could prune and shape a tree in our front yard as well as cut back 3 trees hanging over our back fence. He gave us an immediate quote and was able to complete the job along with our neighbors tree job the same day. Steve explained exactly what we could expect and was very helpful. The entire team was very professional, nice, careful and did an amazing job. They did a great job cleaning up and even made sure our pool remained clean and clear of leaves and twigs We we extremely happy with their service from start to completion. We highly recommend Elk Grove Tree Service and will definitely use them in the future. read more
