Have had two good experiences with Reno Tree Service. Jackie in the office is easy to work with and came on site to assess what needed to be done. The crew that showed up was professional, fast and super helpful. I recommend talking the plan through with them as they were very responsive to my concerns regarding taking too much of a tree and losing shade. Can be pricey but they take all the debris and chip it, which is expensive to do yourself. read more

Cost is Way too high! We went with another company and had more done for the same cost!

Unfortunately, they mostly destroyed a couple of these centerpiece trees in my yard. Because they did a decent job on trimming some of the other trees I won't leave a one star review. But for some reason, they utterly destroyed a couple of trees, which were centerpieces to the yard. One was an ornamental tree (shaped and trimmed while growing to have a certain appearance), and the other was the primary tree in the backyard, providing privacy from the neighbors. They were only hired to clean them up a bit by thinning out some dead material and trimming back some branches where they touched the ground. Inexplicably, as to the backyard privacy tree, they completely stripped it 100% going halfway up the tree. It completely destroyed the aesthetic of the backyard and took away all the privacy. As to the ornamental tree, instead of just cleaning up some of the dead material, they inexplicably cut away approximately half of the limbs, which were totally healthy and not causing problem. When I inquired, it turns out that the people doing the job were confused because the person who did the estimate did not actually even come out to the site to explain to them what they were supposed to do!! She simply gave them a single sheet of handwritten notes that were vague at best. This for a job on a property with over 40 trees, approximately a dozen of which were supposed to be trimmed. No diagram or anything. Just let them loose on my property to destroy it. All they were willing to offer and recompense was a few hundred dollars in discount and a promise to give me a good deal on planning some new stuff, which I'm confident they will not live up to. read more

Doubt they are real arborists, gave ridiculous quote and after i said it was too much she asked how much i can pay, doesn't sound like legit business practices by any stretch. Just seeing if i was gullible enough to accept. They also said there is a way to keep a tree from fruiting by a simple injection, there is no such procedure. And lastly they are not insured. Red flags all over the place. My trees are better off for not using them, Just make sure you do your homework and get multiple quotes, sure glad i did. read more

We hired Reno Tree Service to do a big tree cutting service in our front yard, two huge maple trees, and many varieties of trees in our big back yard. They were on it from the time they opened their vehicle doors and carried their special equipment into our yard. It was a big job and they never wasted a moment. The boss checked with us about certain cuts he decided to make to see if we understood his plan. A big plus .. they vacuumed the leaves off the lawn and swept the leaves off the street. Great job ! We received 3 other companies to give us a cost to remove. The cost difference was severe of over 400 percent. read more

I had a very good experience with Reno Tree Service. There was a little difficulty with communications, but in the end the tree technicians came and did a fabulous job. They pruned, shaped, and thinned out a 50-year-old cherry tree and gave the tree a new lease on life. The technicians were polite, professional, and very good at what they do. RTS was hired to "trim" a 50-60 year-old Apple tree. The tree was pollarded, the quickest easiest and most horrible way to remove limbs.

I have never had to call to have a dead tree removed before and I didn't know what to expect. My experience was fantastic; everyone I dealt with from their office staff, to the quoting process, and the team who how performed the job were all very professional and extremely friendly. They understood my urgency and got me scheduled very quickly. I look forward to working with this team in the future to save our other trees from dying as well. I did not hire them. They were working in the yard behind me and had zero regard for my garden and let large branches drop down onto my plants!!! It seemed like they weren't worried about it until they realized someone was home. Were careful afterward but the tree looks like a tornado hit it. If that is what the owners wanted good for them but it has no leaves left on it and it is only August. Left a lot of debris in my yard too. Worker also stood on cross bar of wooden fence which is old and not very stable and I was scared it was going break. I think ladders might have been the safer idea. This company was doing work on my street, cutting down trees for my housing community. The workers were very rude, they were slow to allow me access to my home and they worked extremely sloppy. They left debris all over the roadway. At lunchtime, they just dropped everything and ran. The whole area looked like a bomb hit it. read more

As a certified arborist, she said that the trees were indeed a lost cause & gave us a very reasonable price for removal & clean up. When the 4-man crew showed up, they were polite, efficient, quick, and thorough. So worth the price over us doing it ourselves! Would absolutely recommend Reno Tree Service. read more

I had a great experience with Reno Tree Service. I contacted them after hiring another company, Greater Nevada Tree Service, LLC to cut down a tree in my front yard. Greater Nevada Tree Service did a terrible job. They abandoned the project after getting paid, refused to answer any of my phone calls, texts, or emails, and left my yard in a complete mess. Reno Tree Service was the complete opposite. They were very prompt with getting me a bid, answered all my questions, didn't ask for any money until the project was complete and I was satisfied. They did a great job finishing the project and grinding down the stump and my yard looked beautiful after. I would recommend Reno Tree Service 100% and to stay away from Greater Nevada Tree Service, LLC. read more

Reno Tree Service has been persistent, patient and professional addressing and clarifying the work done at my property. Their follow-up and customer first attitude is commendable. I appreciate the effort this company put forth to set things right. The work at my property was extensive and included significant pruning and removal of fairly large trees. They did a great job and the work meets or exceeds my expectations. Clean up was complete. I regret that my tenant had a negative experience, but I believe Reno Tree Service took the steps necessary to get the job on track and done on schedule. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I felt bad considering the only other two were not about there work quality but some slight they felt the workers had done them. Now I'm not the smartest guy in the world, shoot this whole message has taken me a fair amount of time, but one thing I do know is people generally treat you like you treat them. Now I dont know these other reviews from Adam but I find it very hard to believe that these boys just came out and started offended anyone much less a lady. They all were more than friendly, helpful and showed me what they were going to do before and the finished product after. I'm not a smoker myself but this is America I feel your more than welcome to smokem if you gottem. As for Jackie at the main office that gal really help me out. The first day they showed up I wasn't there to unlock my gate hell I couldn't remember my last name if it wasnt on my license, so they had to reschedule, she had no problem doing and was quite a doll about it. Now for what review should be about. The crew showed up and worked hard and steady. When they get way up up in those monster trees I wouldn't want then to fall out or cut there freakin leg off just to finish a little sooner. Jackie came by earlier in the week and gave me a quote. It was the best deal by a licensed and insured certified arborist plus there a family company, so I went with it in spite of the previous 2 reviews. Reno tree service was hired by my landlord to cut down a couple trees at my house. They were extremely unprofessional! The spent about 1/3 of the time working, the other 2/3 of the time sitting around talking and chain smoking in my yard. When I called to speak with someone from the company their explanation was that they hired a new worker so they told them to take their time. In the mean time I had to park my car down the street and carry my 8 month old son in his car seat down the street in the cold weather, when the job could have been completed in one day had they spent as much time as they did sitting around chain smoking actually working. They did not introduce themselves when they showed up to work, which most companies do. I understand that I didn't pay for their services, but it would have been nice to have the people that were working in my yard for 2 days introduce themselves to me. At one point I was sitting on my front porch while they were sitting in their trunk in my driveway chain smoking and they proceeded to cuss up a storm and talk about smoking marijuana. When I spoke with Jackie on the phone about the marijuana issue her response was "you know tree guys...". If you want to pay people to come sit around in your yard talking about using drugs and leaving cigarette butts all over your yard, Reno tree service is the company for you! With the recent drought over the past couple of years and all of the watering restrictions that were put into place, when we had our first major snowstorm this year every tree in my yard took a significant beating due to how dry they were coupled with the weight of the snow. Needless to say it look like a tornado or hurricane had hit my house and for the most part significantly obliterated most of my beautiful but very dry trees. As sad as I was to see a good portion of my yard go from lush and green just couple years back I was very relieved when I contacted Reno Tree Service and spoke with Christie. Jackie showed up to my house and I could tell she could sense how heartbroken I was to see the damage done to my mature beautiful trees. I was pretty sure that most of them were complete loss but being the true professionals that they turned out to be they were able to save 95% of the trees that I was pretty positive were complete losses. Their crew arrived at my house shortly after Jackie and went to work promptly cleaning up my yard of all the damaged and broken branches and Jackie and Christie went to work putting together a plan to save The rest of the badly damaged trees. The crew that was at my house was very professional and polite and they all took great care to ensure that my needs, more importantly my trees needs we're their top priority. I am a little late in writing this review however it dawned on me that I had not written a review to express how delighted I was with this mother-daughter team and they're extremely professional staff as I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who I was referring Reno Tree Service.
