We talked with Chaz, who understood my concern for the well-being and longevity of my "Mom's tree"...a gift to me from my sons. Chaz, Swayze and the red-haired arborist (I am so sorry, I forgot his name) didn't scoff at me or try to milk my bank account because of my sentimentality. These folks did an AMAZING job of carefully trimming down our apple tree, bringing it "up", cleaning up the suckers, AND, also trimming up some of our silver maple tree, including taking off a broken branch. These folks also cleaned up my entire yard: branches, sticks, twigs, and fallen apples. A FABULOUS crew, sooooo professional and trustworthy! One of our trees was within five feet of the house, with large limbs hanging directly over the roof, and they were incredibly careful--there was never a moment when our house felt at risk during its removal. Another Yelp Request-A-Quote success! We had a fairly significant concern with a huge tree…read morethreatening property damage for our neighbor and us as well. I posted a request through the Yelp APP on Saturday afternoon and had a free on-property estimate completed by Lane at Deadwood Forestry before dinner that night! He provided quotes for two different options to address the problem, pruning and balancing the tree, or full removal. I was leaning toward full removal, even though it would cost more. Lane actually provided sound counsel that ultimately convinced us to save the mature tree, allowing the tree a chance to heal, and ultimately costing us less money. I appreciated that his priority was always the health of the tree, along with addressing our concerns for safety for the surrounding properties. We had an estimate in writing by Sunday, and had our service scheduled by Monday. We did get a quote from another company that came back a little cheaper, but ultimately did not seem as organized and professional. The work was completed today. The Deadwood Forestry crew took their time, ensuring the job got done efficiently, but safely. They cleaned up every sign of their work, leaving us with a beautiful stack of firewood, and a lovely, mature tree with a new lease in life! When and if we have more work like this, we will absolutely be calling on them again.
